Abstract

The training aims to strengthen the skills of students who will take part in the KKN program to the community. Stories are often used as a medium to build closeness with village children where the KKN program is implemented. Therefore, it requires the skill of making impromptu stories that contain social values that want to be instilled in children. Character-laden storytelling skills are expected to be an additional provision to strengthen scientific abilities that are ready to be applied in the field during the KKN period. Attended by 33 students using zoom meeting. Activities are carried out for 3 days with part-time class activities for 2 days. More part-time is carried out independently outside of zoom classes. The method used is participatory action (PAR) using cycles. The results obtained are the product of stories created by participants and increased ability to make impromptu stories.

Abstract

This research concerns with the effort of the Sakai tribe in maintaining their local wisdom and social characters from generation to the next generation eventhough there is minimum outside social interaction. This research involved 9 key informants spread across 5 villages in Bengkalis Regency. They explained their lives in the Sakai people's village, how they modeled and educated the generations and communities to build a safe and peaceful life. The research findings confirm that in their daily lives, women interact a lot with children and other fellow women around the house. The socially visible modeling of women's behavior becomes an imitative model by their community. Patience, thoughtfulness, saving, restraint, not talkative, not getting angry often, using the mantra of overcoming minor problems, including demonstrating how they should behave into a social education slowly builds generational character and teach them how to survive in even difficult situations. This research concludes that Sakai women with their diversity have a strong role as a catalyst for social education and local wisdom of the Sakai people

Abstract

This article is focused on analising the religious character of the Malays in the 19th century in the Syair Burung manuscripts. It was one of the cultural relics of the Malay community in the past that can provide useful information for the religious life of today's society. This paper was based on library research with a qualitative method approach that leads to content analysis, while the primary source is the text edition of Syair Burung manuscript. The results of the analysis found that Syair Burung is a symbolic poem that uses various birds for the storyteller. This is because the Malay people were colonised by the British, thus, they did not dare to write the truth. Likewise, regarding the religious life that occurs in society, the author is only able to change the character of the story. This research found the religious character of the Malays in the 19th century was divided into a three-character group. First, a group that understands religious teachings and was obedient in practicing them, was symbolised by 13 species of birds. Second, a group that comprehends religious teachings but does not practice them, which is symbolised by 8 types of birds. Third, the group does not understand religious teachings and also does not practice them, which is symbolised by 9 types of birds.

Abstract

Makam Papan Tinggi di Barus merupakan salah satu situs bersejarah yang mencerminkan warisan budaya dan spiritual masyarakat lokal. Artikel ini mengeksplorasi sejarah, keunikan, dan nilai budaya yang terkandung dalam makam ini. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif melalui studi literatur dan wawancara dengan masyarakat setempat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Makam Papan Tinggi memiliki keunikan dalam penempatan lokasi, arsitektur, serta tradisi pemakaman yang kaya makna. Selain itu, makam ini turut berperan dalam menjaga identitas budaya masyarakat Barus dan menjadi daya tarik wisata religi. Pelestarian situs ini penting tidak hanya untuk menghormati warisan leluhur, tetapi juga sebagai sumber pendidikan dan pengembangan pariwisata berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Background: On Post Covid 19, many schools experienced a decline, especially in the learning process. Students who have been at home for a long time, accustomed to gadgets, often seem to lose concentration in learning and focus more often on Google. One effort to restore students' focus on learning in class is of course by building meaningful learning. This community service activity aims to provide pedagogical reinforcement of active learning for teachers so that the learning situation becomes meaningful. Method: It is carried out by combining the ABCD method and Class Action to find out the needs of teachers and ensure that teachers have mastered and can practice them. The results of the mapping obtained are that teachers need training related to learning. Based on the results of the mapping, it was agreed to carry out active learning training, practice in training and post-training practice. Result: The results obtained are that teachers can practice several strategies that spark active learning. Teachers also feel satisfied and happy. The seriousness of the teachers is also evident from the learning practices uploaded to YouTube and Facebook so that they can share good practices of the teachers' actions. Conclusions: This activity is that pedagogical strengthening training is needed for teachers, especially in remote areas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui intensitas keaktifan siswa dalam mengikuti kegiatan organisasi sekolah serta pengaruhnya terhadap pembelajaran dan pengembangan diri. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner Google Form yang diisi oleh 125 responden dari berbagai tingkatan sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa memiliki minat dan partisipasi yang tinggi terhadap kegiatan organisasi sekolah. Aktivitas organisasi dinilai mampu memberikan dampak positif terhadap hasil belajar siswa, kinerja guru, serta menciptakan iklim belajar yang kondusif. Selain itu, kegiatan organisasi juga mendorong terbentuknya sikap tanggung jawab, meningkatkan motivasi belajar, serta memperluas wawasan siswa melalui berbagai kegiatan seperti seminar, diskusi, dan kunjungan edukatif. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa organisasi sekolah memiliki peran strategis dalam mendukung proses pendidikan secara menyeluruh, baik secara akademik maupun dalam pembentukan karakter siswa.                         Kata Kunci: Keaktifan siswa, organisasi sekolah, hasil belajar, pengembangan diri, iklim belajar.

Abstract

Transformasi kurikulum di Indonesia melalui penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka menuntut guru untuk memahami dan mengimplementasikan prinsip-prinsip baru pembelajaran secara komprehensif. Namun, di lapangan masih ditemukan kesenjangan pemahaman, terutama di lingkungan madrasah. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas guru MTs Kota Intan Kabupaten Rokan Hulu dalam memahami dan menerapkan Kurikulum Merdeka melalui pelatihan intensif selama tiga hari. Kegiatan ini menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif-reflektif dengan metode ceramah interaktif, studi kasus, simulasi penyusunan modul ajar, dan praktik implementasi Project Based Learning (PjBL). Hasil pre-test menunjukkan bahwa hanya 28% guru memahami konsep Kurikulum Merdeka secara menyeluruh. Setelah pelatihan, angka tersebut meningkat menjadi 84%. Secara spesifik, pemahaman guru terhadap prinsip kurikulum meningkat dari 32% menjadi 88%, pembelajaran berdiferensiasi dari 25% menjadi 80%, profil pelajar Pancasila dari 30% menjadi 86%, dan penyusunan modul ajar serta PjBL dari 20% menjadi 82%. Selain peningkatan kognitif, refleksi peserta juga menunjukkan motivasi yang lebih tinggi untuk menerapkan pendekatan pembelajaran yang lebih aktif, kontekstual, dan humanis. Kegiatan ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kompetensi guru madrasah serta menjadi model pendampingan yang potensial untuk memperkuat implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka di daerah lain dengan karakteristik serupa.

Abstract

Teachers’ ability to communicate lessons in the classroom is necessary needed to create meaningful teaching and learning process. The selection of words, how the words arranged and how they are uttered determine whether the class run effectively active or vice versa. Even, the nominal of utterances of teacher state how the class is conducted. The excessive proportion of the teacher's speech will actually make the class inactive and the teacher will have difficulty assessing the extent to which students understand the material presented. Barnes (2008) in Groves and Bull (2014) mentioned that teacher talk or teachers' speech in the classroom has an important role in improving and developing students' knowledge skills. This research was piloted to explore what speech acts expressed by the Islamic teachers in their classroom as it ended up to determine how the class directed. The research is qualitative design by taking one Islamic teacher of Private Islamic Junior High School in Rokan Hulu. The result mentions that the most dominant speech acts is the ordering of directive speech act. In this case, teacher often ordered students to accomplish their group discussion and present the result in front of the class. while the lack of productive questions on the stage of interactive and reflection lead to less of students’ critical thinking. For the next research, it is suggested to have more participants and use supplementary instruments to enrich the data.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the dual role of women as career women in helping the family economy through a home kiosk business in Pekanbaru, Riau. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach. The results of this study show that economic motivation is the reason for women to perform multiple roles in moderate categories. The results also showed that in terms of perception and action of multiple role strategies, the majority of women want a balance between the two (the priorities of family and business). The last result, family welfare, objectively falls into the welfare category, and subjectively falls into the medium welfare category.

Abstract

The author wrote this article with the aim of knowing the role of women in the era of globalization and how they can take advantage of developments in science in the current era of globalization. This is what makes women's roles increasingly complex. So that women have a big role in the development of digital technology at this time, there are many things that the current generation can do, especially for women, in facing the era of digital technology where the role of women has the potential to work in the digital industry, such as using social media platforms, becoming influencers. in mass media, marketing products online or becoming a beauty vlogger, and there are many more things that women can do in today's digital era.
