Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan dan mendeskripsikan Fungsi tari Piriang dalam bagian tertentu pada pertunjukan Randai dan Alasan keberadaan Tari Piriang di dalam struktur pertunjukan Randai. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri dan dibantu dengan instrumen pendukung seperti alat tulis, kamera dan perekan suara. Data dikumpulkan melalui studi pustaka, observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Langkah-langkah menganalisis data adalah pengumpulan data, mereduksi data, menyajikan data dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Tari Piriang dalam struktur pertunjukan Randai bukan hanya elemen estetis tapi juga mempunyai fungsi sosial, budaya, dan edukatif yang sangat kompleks. Tarian ini berperan menguatkan identitas kolektif, menjaga stabilitas sosial, serta melestarikan nilai-nilai adat Minangkabau yang ada di dalam pertunjukan randai. Tari Piriang berperan menjaga integrasi sosial dan solidaritas masyarakat Jorong Koto Panjang. Tarian ini menjadi perekat sosial yang memperkuat rasa kebersamaan sekaligus menegaskan identitas budaya kolektif. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa Randai dengan Tari Piriang di dalamnya bukan hanya sekadar seni pertunjukan, tapi juga sarana pemersatu dan pelestari nilai-nilai adat serta norma sosial. Tari Piriang memiliki fungsi manifest sebagai hiburan dan pelengkap pertunjukan Randai, dan fungsi laten yang lebih dalam berupa penguatan norma budaya, penyebaran nilai sosial, dan menjaga keseimbangan dalam sistem sosial budaya Minangkabau. Dengan demikian, Tari Piriang bukan hanya tarian yang dinikmati secara visual, namun juga sarana pendidikan sosial dan pelestarian budaya secara tidak langsung.

Abstract

This article aims to explain and describe the Management System of Lubuak Nan Tigo Art Studio Solok City. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive methods. This research instrument is its own research and is assisted by supporting instruments such as stationery, cameras and flash drives. This research data uses primary data and secondary data. Data were collected through literature study, observation, interviews and documentation. The steps of analyzing data are data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results of this study show that Lubuak Nan Tigo Art Studio runs a democratic management system, cooperation, cohesiveness and seriousness in carrying out duties. The management functions used are planning, organizing, actuating, supervision. Which for the achievement of a good management system requires cooperation, seriousness and cohesion from the members. If one of the management processes does not work, then the results will not be as expected. With the provision of motivation and input from the studio leadership, all members in charge of carrying out their respective duties responsibly, thus making the management system of Lubuak Nan Tigo Art Studio run well and be able to dominate the entertainment land industry market, especially in Solok City.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the values ​​of character education and reveal the meaning of the character values ​​contained in the Batok dance at the Mutiara Minang Dance and Music Art Studio. This type of research is qualitative research using descriptive methods. The instrument for this research is the researcher himself and is assisted by supporting instruments such as writing equipment and a camera. Data was collected through literature study, observation, interviews and documentation. The steps to analyze data are collecting data, identifying data, classifying data, describing data and concluding data. The results of the research show that the Batok Dance at Sanggar Mutiara Minang contains character education values. So that it can be used as a lesson for the surrounding community and dance performers. Learning in this case is an effort to build character that is applied to oneself and the wider community. The character education values ​​contained in the Batok Dance at Sanggar Mutiara Minang can be classified as character education values ​​related to God, others and oneself. Batok Dance at the Mutiara Minang Art Studio teaches that humans should always be connected to God. The character values ​​of his relationship with God consist of worshiping God, begging God, giving thanks to God, surrendering to God. In the values ​​of character education, it is related to responsibility, teaching people to be responsible for every action and activity they carry out. In the values ​​of character education, the relationship with ourselves is that we must not give up on something, curiosity encourages us to correct mistakes and become better. Because curiosity makes us more insightful individuals who know what to do and what not to do.

Abstract

This study examines the psychological impact of the character Mother Suri in the play ROH by Wisran Hadi through a psychoanalytic approach based on Sigmund Freud. The focus of the research is on the dramatic conflicts that affect the psychological condition of the main character. The method used is descriptive qualitative with content analysis techniques applied to the script text. The research results indicate six psychological impacts experienced by Mrs. Suri: (1) excessive anxiety about Suri's existence, (2) repression of past trauma, (3) projection of negative emotions onto others, (4) rationalisation of irrational actions, (5) sublimation of emotional energy through artistic expression, and (6) regression to childish behaviour. This emotional instability is triggered by the conflict between traditional beliefs and modern reality, as well as socio-cultural pressures. The findings reveal how internal conflicts (Id-Ego-Superego) shape the psychological dynamics of the character. This research contributes to the understanding of psychological characterisation in literature as well as the importance of mental health in society. The uniqueness of the research lies in the in-depth analysis of Mrs. Suri's character as a case study of individual inability to confront reality.

Abstract

This study aims to uncover the strategies employed by the Tanah Ombak Community in developing arts and culture for fishermen's children in Purus, Padang City. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, literature review, and documentation. This study describes the interactions between the community and its members, the surrounding community, and the wider community. The results show that the Tanah Ombak Community has a specific strategy: unconditionally accepting fishermen's children, fostering them through arts activities such as storytelling, poetry reading, and theater, guided directly by community administrators and volunteers. In addition, the community also holds non-arts activities such as learning to recite the Quran, reading, mobile libraries, and mutual cooperation. These activities have received a positive response from the community, resulting in parents encouraging their children to actively participate in community activities. This community has received various awards from the Ministry of Education and Culture and has been covered by national media such as Mata Najwa, CNN Indonesia, MNC TV, and Net TV. With an inclusive and educational approach, this community has succeeded in fostering interests and talents in arts and literacy among fishermen's children, while strengthening their character and cultural identity. This research is expected to serve as a reference in developing arts and culture-based community management for marginalized environments.

Abstract

This study seeks to develop an effective clinical supervision model to enhance the performance of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in primary schools within Agam District, addressing challenges in classroom practices and improving learning quality. Using a qualitative approach with a development research design, the study began with a comprehensive needs analysis. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analyses involving Islamic Education teachers in Agam District. Identified needs guided the formulation of objectives for the clinical supervision model. The developed clinical supervision model is grounded in moral and ethical principles, including fairness and equality, as foundational to the supervision process. Key components of the model include supervision methods, evaluation tools, training strategies, and communication mechanisms tailored to address teachers’ challenges. By focusing on tailored supervision strategies, the model emphasizes practical support for teachers, fostering professional growth and ethical conduct. It highlights the importance of structured and supportive oversight in achieving higher teaching standards and improved classroom outcomes. The study provides an effective clinical supervision model designed to support the performance of Islamic Education teachers in Indonesia, particularly in the Agam District. The model holds the potential to significantly enhance the quality of Islamic Education by addressing practical challenges faced by teachers, ensuring better educational outcomes for primary school students.

Abstract

This research explores pioneering innovations aimed at promoting environmental stewardship in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, emphasizing the critical need to integrate sustainable living and environmental management in early education. A key innovation is the adoption of project-based learning, where students engage in practical activities such as developing community gardens and managing waste. These initiatives, along with curriculum enhancements that incorporate ecological principles into religious studies, provide a comprehensive framework for environmental education. The study examines various pedagogical strategies, including interactive ecology-based storytelling and curriculum modifications that introduce environmental themes into Islamic studies. Additionally, it highlights community engagement efforts, such as collaboration between parents and teachers in environmental initiatives. These methods are analyzed to determine how they successfully instill a profound sense of environmental responsibility in students, transforming abstract concepts into actionable practices in their daily lives. Furthermore, the research addresses challenges faced by educators in aligning environmental education with the religious and cultural contexts of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, ensuring compatibility with Islamic values while fostering global ecological awareness. Through a thorough review of contemporary practices, this study identifies successful models and best practices that shape environmental care character. The findings offer valuable insights for educators, administrators, policymakers, and curriculum developers, potentially influencing future educational policies and the design of curricula. This research underscores the vital role Madrasah Ibtidaiyah can play in cultivating environmentally conscious citizens and promoting sustainable ecological management at local and global levels.

Abstract

Perkembangan media digital telah menghadirkan ruang baru bagi praktik seni pertunjukan, termasuk seni tari tradisional. TikTok sebagai platform berbasis video pendek menjadi medium yang memungkinkan tarian tradisional direpresentasikan ulang dalam format dance challenge yang bersifat visual, cepat, dan viral. Salah satu fenomena yang menonjol adalah transformasi Tari Zapin, tarian tradisional Melayu yang sarat nilai religius, kesantunan, dan spiritualitas, ke dalam bentuk konten digital di TikTok. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bentuk transformasi Tari Zapin dalam dance challenge TikTok di era post-realitas serta mengkaji perubahan makna dan nilai budaya yang menyertainya. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif-analitis melalui observasi digital (digital ethnography), wawancara, dan studi literatur. Analisis data dilakukan dengan pendekatan semiotika dan fenomenologi budaya, menggunakan teori tari, post-realitas Jean Baudrillard, representasi budaya, serta teori transformasi seni. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Tari Zapin mengalami pergeseran bentuk dari ekspresi ritual dan sosial menjadi representasi visual yang tunduk pada logika algoritma dan estetika digital. Transformasi ini menyebabkan terjadinya pergeseran makna dan nilai budaya Zapin dari substansi spiritual menuju citra performatif. Namun demikian, Zapin digital juga menunjukkan kemampuan budaya lokal untuk beradaptasi dan bertahan melalui reinterpretasi di ruang digital. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa transformasi Tari Zapin di TikTok merupakan wujud negosiasi antara tradisi dan teknologi dalam konteks budaya post-realitas

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the factors causing students' lack of skills in singing in unison at SMP Negeri 11 Padang. The type of research used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The instrument for this research is the researcher themselves, assisted by writing tools and a camera. Data is collected through literature study, observation, interviews and documentation. The steps in analysing the data are data collection, data identification, data classification, data clarification and data description. The research results indicate that the lack of students' skills in singing in unison at SMP Negeri 11 Padang is caused by several main factors, namely the lack of teacher stimulation, lack of interest and motivation, lack of discipline, and lack of guided practice. Regarding the lack of teacher stimulation, music teachers have not provided varied and innovative learning stimuli, so students are less actively engaged in the unison singing process. As for the lack of students' interest and motivation, some students show a lack of enthusiasm towards unison singing lessons. Regarding the lack of student discipline, students' discipline during practice and learning has not been optimal. Finally, concerning the lack of guided practice, students rarely have the opportunity for structured practice under the direct supervision of a teacher. These factors influence each other and directly affect the low quality of students' unison singing results. Therefore, improving unison singing skills requires enhancements in teaching methods, learning motivation, discipline development, and the provision of guided practice.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the description of the form and movement style of the creative dance Lenggang Serawai. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The research instrument is the researcher themselves, assisted by writing tools and a camera. Data were collected through literature study, observation, interviews, and documentation. The steps to analyse the data are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that the movements of Lenggang Serawai dance at Afnalya Dance Company can be reviewed from the aspects of form and style, which include the aspect of form such as types of movement, movement structure, the relationship between basic elements of space, time, and energy, as well as the aspect of style including unique movement characteristics and characteristic rhythmic patterns of movement. Based on the observed results, the Lenggang Serawai dance has 7 types of movement and 23 movement structures. The spatial aspects in the movements of the Lenggang Serawai dance include line, volume, direction of facing, and focus of gaze. The lines in this dance are predominantly straight, horizontal, and diagonal. The volumes in this dance are predominantly large and small. The directions of facing in the movements of the Lenggang Serawai dance are predominantly forward, backward, left side, and right side. The levels in the movements of the Lenggang Serawai dance are predominantly medium and high. The gaze focus in the movements of the Lenggang Serawai dance is predominantly forward, downward, towards the hands, towards the properties held, and to the left and right sides. In terms of time, the tempo and rhythm are predominantly medium. Regarding the energy aspect, the intensity in these dance movements is predominantly medium, the pressure in the dance movements is predominantly medium, and the movement quality of the Lenggang Serawai dance is predominantly medium.
