Abstract

This article discusses the continuity and change of gandang sarunai music performances in socio-cultural activities of the Alam Surambi Sungai Pagu community, South Solok, West Sumatra. The data were derived from the results of research compiled based on qualitative methods, utilizing literature study techniques, observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The results of the study show that there has been a change in the performance of gandang sarunai music both in terms of venue and in terms of musical aspects of gandang sarunai nowadays. While the continuity of music is maintained, even when compared to the performances of gandang sarunai music during the time of Raja Alam of Surambi Sungai Pagu led the region administratively; gandang sarunai music has been used by all levels of society in their various socio-cultural activities nowadays. In the past, gandang sarunai music was only shown by and for the King's family. Nowadays, gandang sarunai music is used not only in the royal family's environment. Most people have also used gandang sarunai music in their various socio-cultural activities.

Abstract

Banyak kasus marginalisasi budaya dewasa ini di berbagai daerah, khususnya budaya tradisi seperti seni pertunjukan tradisi. Keberadaannya kurang dipelihara dan jarang mendapat tempat di dalam berbagaai kegiatan tradisi yang membudaya di dalam suatu masyarakat. Pengakuan masyarakat terhadap keberadaan seni pertunjukan tradisi sudah mulai luntur. Padagilirannya seni pertunjukan tersebut jarang digunakan dan difungsikan oleh masyarakat pemiliknya. Sebagai warisan budaya tak benda, seni pertunjukan tidak lagi dibudayakan seperti biasanya oleh pemiliknya. Ditengarai persoalan ini disebabkan kurang berperannya sinergitas ekosistem budaya di daerah tersebut. Ekosistem budaya tidak berjalan sebagaimana mestinya, sehingga berdampak pada pertumbuhan dan perkembangan seni pertunjukan tersebut. Artikel ini memfokuskan persoalan tidak berperannya sinergitas ekosistem budaya yang berdampak pada keterpinggirannya seni pertunjukan tradisi. Padagilirannya diasumsikan bahwa hubungan ekosistem berpengaruh terhadap kehidupan seni pertunjukan tradisi di suatu daerah.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the survival and sustainability of the Dua Dua Dance in the community in Tanjung Eran Village. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive method. The main instrument of this research is the researcher and is assisted by supporting instruments such as stationery and cameras. Data were collected through literature studies, observations, interviews and documentation. The steps of analyzing data are data collection, data reduction, data modeling, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that the survival and sustainability of the Knife Dance in Tanjung Eran Village, Pino District is still ongoing to this day through the Elan Sakti College taught by Datuk Ardin. The survival of the Dua Dua Dance can be seen in terms of the form of movement, costumes and rituals that have not changed from the past to the present. The ritual is to prepare offerings containing (black chicken/beetle chicken and brown rice), then prepare a complete betel nut containing (lime, betel, areca nut), prepare a basket of rice filled (rice, lime, white thread, needles, glasses filled with salt chili) and a bowl of Situngkat Guru White Cloth 1 piece per person and 3 colors of yarn (yellow, black,  white). The offerings that were prepared were used before becoming a member and after mastering the Pisau Dua dance is still carried out without any change at all. In terms of performing the Pisau Dua dance at an event, there is a procedure carried out by the dancer, namely bathing using lime. It is this resilience that makes sustainability in people's lives so that the Pisau Dua dance can be used in traditional ceremonies such as marriage ceremonies.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the shape of the silek taralak movement in Maninjau, Tanjung Raya District. The type of research used is qualitative research with a descriptive method of analysis. The instruments used are their own lamps with supporting instruments such as stationery, cameras, and mobile phones. Data was collected by means of literature studies, observations, interviews, and documentation. The steps used to analyze the data are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results show that Silek Taralak aims to create complete control over the opponent through fast, precise, and devastating attacks, by maximizing the impact on the vital areas of the opponent's body. Each attack technique in Silek Taralak is specifically designed to attack the vital parts of the opponent's body with the aim of disabling or controlling them. Attacks are generally focused on the heartburn, right rib, back, elbow, neck, and shoulder, using various techniques such as punches, locks, fractures, and slams. Techniques such as Elo suok and Masuak kida attack heartburn and ribs, while Ampai breaks the opponent's hands and elbows. There are also attacks that emphasize locks and slams, such as Tangkok smoked and Kungkuang karo, which lock the opponent's neck and hands before knocking them down or slamming them. In addition to offensive attacks, defensive techniques such as Tapiak raok and Gelek function to deflect the opponent's attacks, followed by effective counterattacks.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and describe 1) the causes of changes in the role and function of dancers' positions by using women in Galombang Kreasi dance. 2) the role and function of female dancers in Galombang Kreasi dance performances. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive methods. The instrument of this study is the researcher himself and assisted by supporting instruments such as stationery and cameras. Data collection techniques are carried out by means of literature studies, observations, interviews and documentation. The steps of analyzing or analyzing are data reduction, data presentation and inferring data. The results showed that the Galombang Kreasi dance is usually performed by men who can number up to dozens of people and then divided into two groups, where each group seems to be a group of bodyguards. Galombang Kreasi dance has a little element of pencak silat in its movements, so that when it is performed there will be a little martial arts attraction in the series of dances performed, in contrast to pasambahan dance which highlights elegance in every movement and can also be performed by women. The combination of these two dances serves to welcome and pay homage to the bride and groom, also paving the way for a line of virgins carrying carano offerings containing traditional betel. In addition, this new creation of traditional dance also serves as a fence for the entrance of the ninik mamak troupe that accompanies the journey of the bride and groom.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the impact of extracurricular activities on the dancing skills of students at SMP Negeri 34 Kerinci. This type of research is a qualitative research with descriptive method. The object of research is students of SMP Negeri 34 Kerinci. The research instrument is the researcher himself. The results of the study showed that students' dancing skills were seen from their lack of self-confidence when doing dance exercises in extracurricular activities. This can be seen from as long as students get new teaching material, they seem to try and practice it well, students seem to try and practice dancing and always want to try, such as students' interest in the material to be studied, besides that students actively ask questions when they are not clear and don't understand. the results of the evaluation of dance extracurricular activities at SMP Negeri 34 Kerinci proved that out of the 34 people tested, 20 students got an A (very good) grade, 10 students got a B (good) and 4 students got a C (fair). From the results of the overall evaluation, the teacher held a meeting with the school principal so that students who got the highest score (Very Good) were included to take part in the Kerinci Regency FLS2N next year, and had the opportunity to take part in inter-school competitions such as Expo and Pensi. This shows that SMP Negeri 34 Kerinci is progressing.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan tentang keberadaan/eksistensi, proses pelaksanaan tradisi Tari Persembahan makan sirih sebagai budaya tradisi baru di masyarakat Kabupaten Siak Sri Indrapura Provinsi Riau dan mengapa masyarakat masih mempertahankan tradisi Tari Persembahan makan Sirih. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif analisis. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri dan dibantu dengan alat tulis, kamera dan handphone. Data dikumpulkan melalui studi pustaka, observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik penjamin keabsahan data menggunakan kriteria keterpercayaan, keterlibatan, ketergantungan dan kepastian. Langkah-langkah menganalisis data adalah pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan menyimpulan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa  eksistensi Tari Persembahan makan sirih sebagai budaya tradisi baru masyarat Kabupaten Siak Sri Indrapura Provinsi Riau terdiri dari 2 aspek, yaitu aspek peran dan aspek kegunaan. Aspek peran Tari Persembahan Makan Sirih adalah untuk pembinaan minat dan bakat bagi pemuda pemudi melayu. Sedangkan aspek kegunaan Tari Persembahan Makan Sirih adalah ini juga memiliki kegunaan untuk menyambut tamu kehormatan.  Bentuk pelaksanaan tradisi Tari Persembahan Makan Sirih adalah Tari Persembahan Makan Sirih versi dulu yang sangat sederhana, untuk gerakan pada Tari Persembahan Makan Sirih diambil dari gerakan yang sudah ada yaitu dari gerakan Tari Menjunjung Duli dari kerajaan Siak. Alasan Masyarakat Mempertahankan Tari Tradisi Makan Sirih Bagi Masyarakat Kabupaten Siak Sri Indrapura Provinsi Riau adalah menjaga identitas bangsa, tetapi juga memperkaya khazanah budaya dunia.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how dance training has an impact on students' confidence at SMAN 4 Pariaman. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive method. The research instrument is the researcher himself and is assisted by supporting instruments such as stationery and cameras. Data were collected through literature studies, observations, interviews and documentation. The steps to analyze data are data collection, data reduction, data presentation and data verification. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in students' confidence when participating in dance training in dance extracurricular activities at SMAN 4 Pariaman which was influenced by optimistic, objective and responsible indicators. From the optimistic indicator, it can be seen that students have more willingness and do certain activities, students when they get new material, they look very eager to try and practice it well. From the objective indicators of impartial, fair and open students, students are able to make good friends with anyone and are also able to be fair to their peers. And from the responsibility indicator, being able to complete the tasks given and keep the promises according to the agreement, students who have tasks given by their coach always complete them on time and always follow whatever directions the coach tells them to do. So it can be concluded that the dance training carried out is able to increase students' confidence.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan dan mendeskripsikan implementasi pelestarian  budaya melalui penerapan program P5 dan kearifan lokal di kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Matur, prosesi acara Maarak Kapalo Ameh sebagai kearifan lokal masyarakat Matur dan nilai-nilai yang terkandung pada acara maarak kapalo ameh sebagai kearifan lokal masyarakat Matur. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Informan penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah, waka kesiswaan dan guru. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri dan dibantu dengan tulis, perekam suara, dan kamera. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik snowball sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui tahap persiapan, survey lapangan, teknik observasi dan teknik wawancara  Langkah-langkah menganalisis data adalah pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa tradisi Maarak Kapalo Ameh di SMA Negeri 1 Matur berhasil dilakukan melalui penerapan Program Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) yang berbasis kearifan lokal dengan memperkenalkan budaya lokal kepada siswa dan memperkuat nilai-nilai kebangsaan dan religius melalui aktivitas kolaboratif. Nilai-nilai budaya yang terkandung dalam Maarak Kapalo Ameh mencakup dimensi sosial, spiritual, dan edukatif. Dimensi sosial tercermin dari kolaborasi yang terjalin selama persiapan dan pelaksanaan acara, sedangkan dimensi spiritual menunjukkan hubungan mendalam antara tradisi dan kehidupan masyarakat. Nilai edukatif berkontribusi pada pembentukan karakter siswa, menjadikan mereka lebih sadar akan pentingnya menjaga keberlanjutan budaya lokal. Integrasi kearifan lokal dalam pendidikan formal dilakukan melalui Maarak Kapalo Ameh dan Program P5 yang merupakan strategi yang efektif dalam melestarikan budaya. Pendekatan ini tidak hanya mempertahankan tradisi lokal tetapi juga memperkuat karakter pelajar sebagai generasi penerus yang memiliki kesadaran budaya. Diharapkan hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi inspirasi bagi sekolah lain untuk mengembangkan program serupa sebagai bagian dari upaya pelestarian budaya nasional.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the development of Asaik Dance which is seen from the aspects of use and function in the past and present in the most cognate village, Hamparan Rawang District, Sungai Penuh City. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive methods. The main instruments in this study are the researchers themselves and are assisted by supporting instruments such as, stationery, video and photo cameras, tape recorders. Data collection techniques are carried out by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. The steps to analyze the data are data that has been successfully collected from the results of observations, interviews and reduced documentation and then presented and verified. The results showed that the development of Asaik Dance was seen from the aspects of usefulness and function in the past and in the present, nothing has changed, such as the use of dance for traditional medicine, namely medicine, which serves to overcome the problem of ghaib disease, or non-medical diseases. Although Islam has developed, this dance is still used and functioned as in the past.
