Abstract

Menjadi seorang jurnalis itu mudah, asal punya kapasitas menulis, dan pendidikan. Saat ini tempat berlatih, dan menjukkan diri mampu menjadi jurnalis bisa melalui media daring. Publikasi tulisan yang terkait dengan jurnalistik kini tak lagi sepenuhnya dikuasai media massa, seperti media cetak, majalah, tv, dan radio. Kehadiran media during mengubah pola penyampaian informasi. Citizen Journalim atau jurnalis warga kini dapat menyampaikan berbagai informasi kepada publik melalui media during tanpa halangan. Bahkan, sejumlah media massa pun dapat menampungnya sepanjang informasinya akurat, memiliki news value, dan dapat dipertanggungjawabkan kebenarannya. Kehadiran media daring mengubah kegiatan pencarian informasi, dan penyampaian ke publik. Masyarakat biasa kini dapat melakukannya di media daring. Bahkan, para pelajar pun bisa meniti karir dari citizen menjadi seorang jurnalis professional. Semua hanya soal minat, tekad, dan motivasi belajar yang kuat.

Abstract

  Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan pengetahuan mahasiswa mengenai nilai dari Bahasa dan penggunaannya dalam komunikasi sehari-hari melalui kegiatan webinar yang berjudul “Changes and Development of Language in Social Life”, yang diselenggarakan oleh Universitas Esa Unggul Jakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah kualitatif, sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan di antaranya dengan observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan webinar berhasil meningkatkan kepekaan, kesadaran, komitmen dari mahasiswa untuk menggunakan Bahasa Indonesia dengan baik, juga menjaga tutur kata agar tidak menunjukkan karakter atau kepribadian yang buruk. Dengan penelitian ini, disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan Bahasa yang baik oleh mahasiswa dapat membentuk dan menunjukkan kepribadian yang baik pula.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of using digital learning platforms as communication media in Islamic education with a focus on Generation Z teachers at PB. Soedirman Islamic High School, Jakarta. This generation is known as digital natives who are highly adaptive to information technology. The research method used is a case study with a qualitative approach, involving interviews, participatory observation, and surveys. The results show that Generation Z teachers at PB. Soedirman Islamic High School, Jakarta feel comfortable and helped by the use of digital learning platforms for communication and learning. These platforms enable faster and more efficient communication. However, some challenges were also found, such as limitations in conveying messages clearly and the risk of information overload. Factors affecting the effectiveness of communication through digital platforms were identified, including Teachers' technological competence, platform design, organizational culture, and adequate training and support. This research is consistent with technology acceptance theory which states that perceived ease of use and usefulness have a significant effect on technology acceptance. The results of this study provide practical implications to optimize the use of digital learning platforms through continuous training, intuitive platform design, and digital culture support in the organization. Thus, digital platforms can improve the performance and job satisfaction of Generation Z teachers.

Abstract

This research entitled is “The Use of Google Classroom During Pandemic In Teaching Oral Descriptive Text (a Collaborative Classroom Action Research at SMA Negeri 1 Peusangan Selatan)”. The researcher raised the problems of this research, namely: the first, How does the students improve their Oral Descriptive text through Google Classroom? And the second, How do students respond after using Google Classroom in Teaching Oral Descriptive text to the student at SMA 1 Peusangan Selatan?. The purpose of this study is to know the students improve their Oral Descriptive text through Google Classroom and to know the students respond after using Google Classroom in Teaching Oral Descriptive text to the student at SMA 1 Peusangan Selatan. The method used in this research is Collaborative Classroom Action Research. The researcher collaborated with teacher at SMA Negeri 1 Peusangan Selatan. The instruments used in this research are test, observation checklist and questionnaire. Based on the result of the data analysis, it can be found that, the mean score of the students test in oral descriptive text in first cycle was 36.55, in the second cycle was 67.75. based on the teaching and learning process the mean score of students’ observations in first cycle was 40.7 while in the second cycle was 82.1. the mean score of teacher observations in teaching oral descriptive text by using google classroom in first cycle was 56 while in the second cycle was 88. The students’ response to the application of the Google Classsroom in teaching oral descriptive text got an mean score of 87.11 or 3.33 (Strongly Agree). These results indicate that the use of google classroom in teaching oral descriptive text its good results and a satisfactory response. Thus this research is said to be successful.

Abstract

Integrating information and communication Technology (ICT) into learning has a very important role in facing the demands of the development of the modern world. This research underlines the role of education and training to increase PAI teachers' competence in ICT. This research aims to describe the level of integration and communication, and technology in PAI teacher training. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 3 Teluknaga. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 3 Teluknaga. The population in this study was 23 madrasa PAI teachers and two facilitators participating as informants. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The research results show that PAI madrasah teachers have integrated ICT but still need to expand to using presentations, especially PowerPoint. Second, age factors and technical problems are the main obstacles in implementing such integration compared to younger teachers, who tend to have a higher level of comfort with new technology because they are more familiar with the use of technology in their daily lives. The availability of ICT facilities at SMP Negeri 3 Teluknaga is classified as good. This research recommends that schools provide a lot of training and support to teachers to improve their mastery of technology and integrate it effectively into the learning process.

Soedirman Islamic High School, Jakarta. This generation is known as digital natives, who are highly adept at navigating information technology. The research method employed is a case study with a qualitative approach, comprising interviews, participatory observation, and surveys. The findings indicate that Generation Z teachers at PB. The respondents at Soedirman Islamic High School, Jakarta, indicated that they felt at ease and benefited from the utilisation of digital learning platforms for communication and learning purposes. The aforementioned platforms facilitate more expedient and effective communication. Nevertheless, certain challenges were also identified, including the potential for unclear communication and the risk of information overload. The factors affecting the effectiveness of communication through digital platforms were identified, including the teachers’ technological competence, the design of the digital platforms, the organisational culture, and the provision of adequate training and support. This research is consistent with the Technology Acceptance Model, which posits that perceived ease of use and usefulness have a significant effect on technology acceptance. Abstract

Background: Communication is an ability that has a significant impact on students. Training for this activity must always be carried out. Contribution: The purpose of this study is to explain the impact of seminar activities to improve students' abilities and skills in conducting open and effective communication patterns in the digital era that is currently taking place. Method: The research method used in this study is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques carried out include observation, interviews, and documentation studies. Result: Based on data that has been collected, the seminar that has been done is known to have a positive impact and helps students have high enthusiasm to learn about effective communication and tips for maintaining communication ethics in the digital age. Conclusion:  In addition, with the material presented, students can understand the urgency of the formation of communication skills to improve the image, confidence, as well as the responsibilities they have in the future.

Abstract

Banana peels, a part of the fruit with numerous benefits, have not been fully utilized, leading to significant organic waste. Banana peel vinegar is a product derived from the acetic acid fermentation of banana peels. This study examined the effects of varying vinegar starter concentrations on the organoleptic characteristics of vinegar made from kepok banana peels (Musa acuminata Colla). The research employed an experimental method with a laboratory experiment approach, incorporating both qualitative and quantitative analyses. The study involved five trained panelists and 25 untrained panelists. Data were analyzed using variance analysis and were tested using Berat Nyata Jujur (BNJ) or Tukey’s Honestly Significant Difference (HSD) test. The concentration of the vinegar starter influenced the color, aroma, and taste of banana peel vinegar. Among the four treatments, the 15% vinegar starter concentration was the most preferred by both trained and untrained panelists. The study concludes that a 15% vinegar starter concentration is optimal for producing banana peel vinegar with the most favorable organoleptic properties, making it a promising approach for reducing organic waste. Likewise, the results of this study can serve as a reference for the production of vinegar from kepok banana peels.

Abstract

Lansia merupakan golongan umur yang paling rentan terhadap penyakit menular dan penyakit tidak menular, data dari Puskesmas Rumbai Bukit menunjukan kasus Diabetes Melitus, Hipertensi, Penyakit Jantung Koroner banyak terjadi pada kelompok umur >60 tahun/ lansia ditambah lagi penyakit menular yang memiliki risiko penularan tinggi dan risiko kematian tinggi terjadi pada kelompok umur lansia. Penduduk dengan usia lanjut yang mendapatkan pelayanan kesehatan hanya 50,3% dari total lansia yang ada diwilayah kerja Puskesmas Rumbai. Pencatatan masih dilakukan manual dan berkemungkinan data rekam medis dari lansia yang melakukan pemeriksaan akan rusak dan hilang. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini untuk deteksi dini penyakit pada lansia. Metode pengabdian ini berupa pemeriksaan kesehatan, penyuluhan kesehatan dan pelatihan bagi 33 kader di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Rumbai Bukit. Pada pemeriksaan kesehatan rata rata tekanan darah pada lansia 151/87 mmHg, lingkar perut lansia 85,1 cm, IMT 25, gula darah Sewaktu 152 mm/dL dan asam Urat 6,2 mm/dL. Pada hasil peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan melalui pre test yakni dengan nilai 67,6 dan post test dengan nilai 85,2. Peningkatan signifikan ini juga menjadi modal dalam kemandirian kesehatan dalam peningkatan pengetahuan dan peningkatan kunjungan lansia ke posyandu. Diharapkan bagi penanggung jawab program kesehatan masyarakat agar konsisten memberikan pelayanan pemeriksaan disetiap posyandu bersama kader.

Abstract

The leader is an authority figure in which case every gesture pattern and behavior can have an impact on the conditions and responses of subordinates and employees. The purpose of this study is to determine the impact and influence of the communication style and work motivation that the Principal of State Senior High School 57 Jakarta applies and has on the performance of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) there. The method used in this research is a qualitative research method with the type of case study, the use of case studies because researchers can understand in depth the context, process, and complexity of the phenomenon being studied. The data collection techniques used are interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the research found in the field show that the communication that exists between the Principal and all Teachers at SMAN 57 Jakarta is an effective communication style. Effective communication style allows the Principal to convey vision and goals, provide support to Teachers, promote collaboration, build trust, and solve problems together. In addition, based on the research conducted, it can be concluded that effective communication style is a manifestation of one of Horald-Lasswell's communication theories.
