Abstract

Technological advances in workplace bring new benefits and challenges, one which is cyberloafing behavior, namely the use of the internet for personal interests during working hours. This study aims to examine the effect workload on cyberloafing behavior with work stress as a mediating variable. This study uses a quantitative approach with an associative design, and data collection techniques through questionnaire survey of 57 employees in the Mengwitani and Kekeran Village Governments. Data analysis was carried out using the path analysis method using SPSS software. The results of study indicate that workload has  positive effect on cyberloafing behavior, where increasing workload tends to encourage employees to cyberloaf as a form of distraction. In addition, workload has been shown to have a positive effect on increasing work stress. High work stress significantly contributes to increasing cyberloafing behavior. Thus, work stress acts as a mediating variable in the relationship between workload and cyberloafing behavior. These findings emphasize the importance of effective workload management and stress management strategies to reduce the level of cyberloafing in the workplace. The practical implications of this study indicate that organizational policies that focus on employee well-being can contribute to increased productivity and work efficiency.

Abstract

This study investigates the role of social support as a predictor of students' proactive career behavior strengthened by resilience. This study focuses on dual-career students actively involved in the knowledge-based creative gig economy sector in Buleleng Regency, Indonesia. A total of 146 students were selected as respondents in the study using purposive sampling criteria, and the data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Partial Least Squares (PLS). The result shows that social support has a positive and significant effect on proactive career behavior, with resilience as a mediator that strengthens this relationship. This finding provides new insights into the importance of social support for dual-career students in developing proactive behaviors to navigate career paths in the precarious world of the gig economy. This study underscores the importance of social support and resilience to strengthen student’s behavior in building networks and exploring career opportunities, primarily in the economy of the gig economy.

Abstract

This study develops an incentive mechanism model for outsourced personnel in product quality inspection, based on a principal-agent relationship. The core challenge lies in misaligned incentives, where agents often prioritize output volume over quality. By integrating Mechanism Design Theory (MDT) and Linear Programming (LP), our model aligns the principal's objective of minimizing defective products with the agent's utility maximization, subject to Incentive Compatibility and Individual Rationality constraints. Our analysis reveals that the optimal incentive structure combines a basic wage with a performance-based bonus. The optimal effort level of outsourced personnel increases with both rising losses due to defective products and enhanced detection effort effectiveness. The model also shows that optimal inspection allocation should be assigned to personnel with higher capabilities, especially for high-risk products. This research provides a theoretical contribution by integrating MDT and LP for incentive design and offers practical implications for improving product quality through a measurable incentive framework.
