Abstract

Abstract This study aimed to determine the Body Condition Score (BCS) in Pesisir cattle. The Pesisir cattle used were 200 heads, which were located in Lengayang District, Pesisir Selatan Regency, Sumatera Barat Province. Research data was collected using a survey method by direct observations in the field and interviews with farmers. The research variable that was observed was the Body Condition Score (BCS). BCS value was measured using a scale of 1-3 (thin/medium/fat). The proportion of Pesisir cattle with BCS 1, 2, 3 was 14.5%, 70.5% and 15.0%, respectively. The BCS value of Pesisir cattle owned by farmers in the research location was in the normal range which refers to the standard BCS value of 1-3.  Keyword: Body Condition Score, Pesisir cattle

Abstract

A farmer group is a social forum, as a place for a group of people to work together to achieve a common goal. Farmer groups cannot be separated from social dynamics issues because every member of the farmer group has different characteristics. However, members of groups do not understand the dynamic group, so the farmer groups that have been formed are very vulnerable to disbanding or being inactive. The purpose of this socialization activity is to provide knowledge to the farmers of the Villa Saiyo Timbalun Livestock Group about group dynamics as an effort to help create an active, solid, and sustainable group and be able to develop a business so that it can increase group income for the welfare of the group. The implementation of the activity is carried out by the extension method, namely providing socialization of strengthening livestock groups about group dynamics to the target audience. The target of the implementation of the socialization of livestock groups strengthening to the community is a group of farmers in the city of Padang, namely the Villa Saiyo Timbalun livestock group in Bungus Teluk Kabung District. The Andalas University degree carried out on the livestock group of Villa Saiyo Timbalun, Bungus Timur Village, Bungus Teluk Kabung District was carried out well and smoothly. Farmers are enthusiastic about the implementation of this socialization of livestock group strengthening, which can be seen from the presence of both group members and breeders who are around the location of the livestock group strengthening socialization. the results of the socialization activity for strengthening livestock groups through counseling on the topic of group dynamics created an agreement between group members to return to active group business together. In addition, this activity provides additional knowledge for members to maintain the sustainability of the group, and make the group active again, and it is hoped that the group can run and develop group business so that group welfare can be achieved. The discussions also provided solutions that made the group return to running a business together. It can be concluded that the socialization activity for strengthening the livestock group was carried out well so that the objectives of the activity were achieved.

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi keragaman gen FSH bagian ekson 2 menggunakan enzim restriksi TasI pada sapi Pesisir. Sampel darah yang digunakan yaitu 78 sampel darah dengan dua macam yaitu 13 jantan serta 65 betina yang berumur 1-5 tahun dari sapi pesisir yang didapat dari BPTUHPT Padang Mengatas. Protocol genomic DNA Purification system Kit dari Promega digunakan untuk mengisolasi DNA sampel darah. Amplifikasi gen FSH dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik PCR atau Polymerase Chain Reaction. Enzim TasI digunakan untuk meretriksi produk amplifikasi. Hasil penelitian gen FSH bagian exon 2 pada sapi pesisir yaitu diperoleh terdapat dua macam genotip. Dua macam genotip tersebut yaitu heterozigot (+/-) serta homozigot tidak terpotong (-/-), untuk jantan berturut turut yaitu 0,38 dan 0,62 beserta frekuensi alel (+) dan alel (-) yaitu 0,19 dan 0,81, sedangkan untuk betina yaitu berturut-turut 0,43 dan 0,57 beserta frekuensi alel (+) dan alel (-) yaitu 0,21 dan 0,79. Sebaran genotip gen FSH|TasI exon 2 pada populasi Sapi Pesisir sifatnya polimorfik (beragam) dengan frekuensi alel yaitu kurang dari 0,99.Identification of Exon 2 FSH Gene Diversity Using TasI Restriction Enzymes in Coastal CattleABSTRACT. This study aims to identify the diversity of the exon 2 FSH gene using the restriction enzyme TasI in Coastal cattle. The blood samples used were 78 blood samples of two types, namely 13 males and 65 females aged 1-5 years, from coastal cattle obtained from BPTUHPT Padang Atas. The protocol genomic DNA Purification System Kit from Promega was used to isolate DNA from blood samples. The amplification of the FSH gene was carried out using the PCR or Polymerase Chain Reaction technique. The TasI enzyme was used to restrict the amplification product. The study results on the exon two portion of the FSH gene in coastal cattle showed two types of genotypes. The two types of genotypes are heterozygous (+/-) and untruncated homozygous (-/-); for males, 0.38 and 0.62, respectively, and the frequencies of allele (+) and allele (-) are 0.19 and 0. .81, while for females, it was 0.43 and 0.57, respectively, and the frequencies (+) and allele (-) were 0.21 and 0.79. The FSH|TasI exon two gene genotype distribution in the Coastal Cattle population is polymorphic (various) with an allele frequency of less than 0.99.Keywords: FSH Gene, Pesisir Cattle, TasI Enzyme

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify genetic diversity in the early exon 10 of the FSHR gene or follicle stimulating hormone receptor in Pesisir cattle. The blood samples used were 70 blood samples from female Pesisir cattle aged 2-5 years which were obtained from BPTU-HPT Padang Mengatas, West Sumatera. The isolated DNA was then amplified using a pair of primers L and R with PCR technique which produced a fragment with a length of 847 bp. The services of 1st Base Singapore are used for sequencing the amplified product. The results of the research on the identification of the early exon 10 FSHR gene in Pesisir cattle were found that there were 5 SNPs at positions --53T>C, +17A>G, +650C>T, +706A>C and +707 ins>A in some introns 9 to exon 10 first part. The results showed that the genotypic frequency of the Pesisir cattle population was in Hardy-Weinberg imbalance and polymorphisms were found in the early exon 10 FSHR gene diversity.

Abstract

Developing Agroedutourism needs to look at the prospects and challenges ahead. The purpose of this study is to analyze the prospects and challenges of agroedutourism in moosa edufarm solok district of west sumatra province. This research was conducted by field observations and interviews with the management. Further the data obtained are analyzed descriptively. The results of this study are in the management of agroedutourism for cattle farming with adult pen sizes which currently accommodate a maximum of 31.5 heads or 31.5 ST livestock. This still shows prospects in the development of cattle in the future. In terms of the carrying capacity of animal feed forage (KPPTR) Effective, it shows that the increase in cattle population in moosa cannot be done because it is negative (-) 24.14ST based on BK needs. This is because the grass forage land managed independently by Moosa Edufarm is only 0.49 ha while the total real population of ST is 32.25. This will be a challenge going forward for managers. In addition, the challenges in managing agroedutoruism in Moosa Edufarm are the outbreak of diseases that attack humans and cattle, the marketing of wagyu cattle which can only be done to certain groups (middle and upper consumers).

Abstract

Pulau Enggano adalah salah satu pulau terluar Indonesia yang terletak di samudra Hindia. Pulau Enggano ini merupakan bagian dari wilayah pemerintah Kabupaten Bengkulu Utara, Provinsi Bengkulu, dan merupakan satu kecamatan Enggano. Pulau Enggano merupakan salah satu pulau yang akan dikembangkan. Pulau ini berada di sebelah barat daya dari kota Bengkulu dengan koordinat 05°  23′  21″  LS,  102°  24′  40″  BT.  Berdasarkan  data Badan Pusat Statistik tahun 2020, jumlah penduduk Enggano sebanyak 4.035 jiwa. Sebagian jalan tersebut berupa penetrasi McAdam, sisanya masih jalan tanah. Walaupun LHR-nya kurang dari 50 kendaraan dengan beban kurang dari 8 ton, kondisi jalan tersebut saat ini sudah sangat memprihatinkan. Study ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil terbaik yang akan digunakan untuk perbaikan jalan di provinsi terluar bengkulu. Bahan uji material yang digunakan adalah krokos dan campuran pendukungnya, yaitu agregat lokal (krokos), krokos plus semen 7%, dan krokos plus pasir 35%.

Abstract

This article describes a study conducted on the method to prevent error in manufacturing. Two cases in Integrated Circuit manufacturing was observed regarding human error occurred in moulding process. A technical solution was applied to prevent the case to occur. Mechanical approach solution named poka yoke was applied to the location of problem. It is proven that the solution is effective in preventing similar error to occur.

Abstract

Rendahnya ketersediaan benih kentang berkualitas dibandingkan dengan kebutuhan benih kentang di petani, merupakan permasalahan yang sangat penting untuk segera diatasi, guna meningkatkan produktifitas panen kentang di Indonesia. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan inovasi – inovasi guna mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, salah satunya adalah melakukan perbanyakan benih kentang dengan cara pembelahan benih. Perbanyakan benih kentang dengan metode pembelahan benih diharapkan dapat menjadi alternative bagi petani untuk menghemat biaya pengadaan benih kentang, penelitian ini mengamati perbandingan jumlah tunas, jumlah umbi dan bobot umbi per tanaman antara perlakuan pembelahan benih dibandingkan dengan benih utuh sebagai kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat perbedaan pada variabel jumlah tunas dan jumlah umbi per tanaman sedangkan pada variabel bobot umbi per tanaman tidak berbeda nyata antara perlakuan pembelahan benih dengan benih utuh sebagai kontrol

Abstract
