Abstract

The low ability of students in analyzing values in fable texts is influenced by several factors such as reading interest, difficulty understanding and digesting important information in reading and difficulty in conveying the contents of the reading that has been read. This study aims to improve the ability to analyze the values of fable texts using the Sharing Reading Literacy learning model in class X students of SMA Negeri 2 Padangsidimpuan. This study uses a classroom action research (CAR) method which is implemented in stages starting from the design, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects in this study were 35 class X students. The results of this study indicate that the Sharing Reading Literacy learning model can improve students' ability to analyze values in fable texts. This is evidenced by the increase in student learning outcomes from before being given the action and the second stage after being given the class action to 85. Student effectiveness in learning activities also increased with student involvement in the learning process. The application of the Sharing Reading Literacy learning model has proven effective in improving the ability to analyze the values of fable texts in class X students of SMA Negeri 2 Padangsidimpuan. It is hoped that the results of this study can be a reference for further research related to classroom action research that can create effective learning strategies.

Abstract

Identifikasi masalah merupakan kegiatan awal yang dilakukan dalam proses mencari dan menemukan sumber masalah, dimana seorang guru dituntut mampu melakukan identifikasi masalah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauhmana mahasiswa PPG dalam jabatan Universitas Muhammadiyah Tapanuli Selatan mengidentifikasi masalah matematika. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi kuantitatif deskriptif. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan dokumen hasil penilaian di LMS Space PPG Daljab 2023. Tagihan identifikasi masalah pada siklus 1 dan 2 diunggah ke LMS. Penilaian menggunakan rubrik yang ada di LMS Space PPG Daljab 2023. Seluruh mahasiswa PPG Daljab angkatan 3 matematika tahun 2023 dari Universitas Muhammadiyah Tapanuli Selatan adalah subjek dari penelitian ini. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan statistik kuantitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata kemampuan identifikasi masalah mahasiswa termasuk dalam kategori baik, dimana mahasiswa memberikan solusi terhadap masalah matematika yang terjadi dalam kehidupannya.

Abstract

Background: Schizophrenia is a mental disorder with a very high prevalence in Indonesia, which is around 7 million per 1000 population (Riskedas, 2018). Schizophrenia can cause sufferers to behave aggressively, which can cause injury to the patient himself or other people, including nurses. If the client's aggressive behavior increases, the actions that can be applied are crisis management and restraint strategies. Objective: to determine the effect of restraint management on the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of nurses at RSKD DADI, South Sulawesi Province. Method: The type of research used is a quasi-experiment. The sample was divided into two groups: intervention and control groups. This research was conducted in November 2022. The population for this study were nurses at RSKD DADI South Sulawesi Province; the sample was determined by consecutive sampling, namely 20 people in the intervention group and 20 people in the control group, so the total sample was 40 people. Results: There is a significant difference in the mean knowledge of nurses regarding restraint management between the control group (M=7.75, SD=1.585) and the intervention group (M=10.05, SD=3.170) with a t-test value of 3.359, and a p-value of <0.003. There is a significant difference in the mean skills of nurses between the control group (M=29.85, SD=3.92) and the intervention group (M=34.25, SD=1.743) with a t-test value of 5.646 and a p-value of <0.000. There is a significant difference in the attitudes of nurses between the control group (M=21.35, SD=4.107) and the intervention group (M=24.70, SD=5.611) with a t-test value of 2.258, and a p-value of <0.036. Conclusion: The research findings showed a significant increase in the mean scores of knowledge, attitude, and skills after participating in the restraint training.

Abstract

The connection between language and culture becomes increasingly evident when the Thai language influences the variations of Jawi Malay dialects in Narathiwat. This research aims to analyze the impact of Thai language interference on the dialectal variations of Malay language in Narathiwat, Thailand, using a sociolinguistic approach. We investigate changes in language, including vocabulary usage, phonological shifts, and social influences in the everyday situations of Narathiwat society. The research methods involve interviews, surveys, text analysis, and observations in everyday contexts. The expected outcomes are to enhance understanding of language dynamics in Narathiwat, which plays a crucial role in preserving cultural and linguistic identities in a multilingual environment. This study has the potential to provide valuable insights into the preservation and maintenance of Malay language in Narathiwat, emphasizing the importance of language and sociolinguistic research in areas with strong language influences and significant cultural blends. Abstract

Pada kegiatan ini, para peserta PPG dalam jabatan bidang studi Bahasa Inggris dituntut untuk kreatif dan inovatif dalam proses pembelajaran. Kenyataan yang diperoleh dari kegiatan PPG Dalam Jabatan Bidang studi Bahasa Inggris terdapat masih banyak guru yang jauh akan penggunaan teknologi. Banyaknya aplikasi-aplikasi yang dapat memudahkan para guru dalam menyampaikan materi. Untuk itu, para guru Bahasa Inggris harus menguasai penggunaan aplikasi Classpoint sebagai alat untuk membuat kuis interaktif yang akan dipergunakan di kelas, sehingga tercipta suasana belajar yang asyik. Maka, tim PKM membuat pelatihan kepada para guru peserta PPG dalam jabatan bidang studi Bahasa Inggris dalam pembuatan kuis interaktif dengan menggunakan aplikasi Classpoint secara daring dalam dua tahap. Tahap pertama yaitu dengan memberikan materi, serta petunjuk penggunaan aplikasi Classpoint. Tahap kedua meliputi pendampingan dengan melatih peserta PPG menggunakan aplikasi Classpoint dan membuat kuis interaktif pada aplikasi tersebut. Hasil dari pengabdian ini adalah bertambahnya pengetahuan para peserta PPG dalam penggunaan aplikasi Classpoint dan meningkatnya kreativitas para peserta PPG dalam membuat kuis interaktif melalui aplikasi tersebut. Urgensi dari hasil penelitian ini adalah berupa kesiapan dan kesadaran para guru tentang pentingnya penggunaan teknologi dalam proses belajar dan mengajar, sehingga para guru dapat mencapai hasil belajar siswa yang telah ditentukan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan persepsi terhadap Citizen Journalism sebagai bagian dari ranah jurnalisme profesional serta menilai implikasinya terhadap standar jurnalistik dan perlindungan hukum bagi pelaku Citizen Journalism. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui kajian literatur, wawancara mendalam dengan ahli media, dan analisis isi dari sumber-sumber online serta media cetak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan pendapat mengenai status Citizen Journalism dalam ranah jurnalisme. Sebagian ahli berpendapat bahwa Citizen Journalism belum memenuhi standar jurnalisme profesional, mengingat minimnya penerapan kode etik jurnalistik dan standar verifikasi yang memadai. Namun, kelompok lain menganggap Citizen Journalism sebagai salah satu bentuk jurnalisme modern, karena memiliki elemen-elemen dasar jurnalistik, seperti pelaporan berita dan distribusi informasi menggunakan media digital. Penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa Citizen Journalism berperan dalam memberikan akses kepada masyarakat untuk menyuarakan opini mereka, namun menghadapi tantangan dalam hal perlindungan hukum. Pelaku Citizen Journalism tidak memperoleh perlindungan hukum yang setara dengan jurnalis profesional karena ketiadaan status formal sebagai profesi jurnalistik. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa Citizen Journalism merupakan fenomena yang signifikan dalam era digital, tetapi masih memerlukan pengembangan standar profesional dan pengakuan hukum yang lebih jelas. Implikasi penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya regulasi yang mengakomodasi peran Citizen Journalism tanpa mengabaikan prinsip-prinsip dasar jurnalistik untuk memastikan kredibilitas dan perlindungan hukum yang layak bagi para pelakunya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas peralihan dari strategi Pemasaran konvensional ke Digital di kelurahan simare-mare, sebagai respons terhadap tantangan pemasaran yang disebabkan oleh pandemi. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi dampak pelatihan Pemasaran Digital terhadap promosi pertanian lokal, dengan menekankan signifikansi praktis dan keberlanjutan ekonomi.Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif, penelitian ini menyelidiki keefektifan pelatihan Pemasaran Digital melalui keterlibatan langsung, observasi, dan wawancara. Analisis tematik mengungkap wawasan mengenai hasil transisi dan implikasi praktisnya. Studi ini menyoroti bagaimana adopsi Pemasaran Digital memberikan manfaat bagi masyarakat pedesaan yang bergantung pada pertanian, meningkatkan jangkauan pasar dan efektivitas biaya. Temuan ini menggaris bawahi potensinya untuk sektor dan geografi serupa, membantu ketahanan terhadap pandemi dan pembangunan berkelanjutan. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan Pemasaran Digital memberdayakan masyarakat seperti simare mare, memungkinkan adaptasi terhadap kondisi dinamis dan meningkatkan prospek ekonomi. Penggunaan strategi digital menjadi hal yang sangat penting bagi pembangunan pedesaan, sehingga dapat memberikan kontribusi terhadap wawasan praktis mengenai relevansi kontekstual Pemasaran Digital dan memupuk ketahanan

This research was conducted to determine the effect of career development on employee performance with training as an intervening variable at the North Sumatra Culture and Tourism Service by conducting a path analysis research method, this type of research uses quantitative, and the source of this research uses primary data sources. This research collects data by means of distributed questionnaires, the population used was 119 employees and a sample was drawn using the Slovin formula to become 92 employees. The results of this research are as follows: Training has a positive and significant influence on employee performance with the original sample being 0.316 and P values 0.035 < 0.05 meaning hypothesis accepted. Career Development has a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance with an original sample value of 0.621 and a P value of 0.000 < 0.05, meaning the hypothesis is accepted. Career Development has a positive and significant effect on Training with an original sample value of 0.933 and a p value of 0.000 <0.05, meaning the hypothesis can be accepted. Career development has a positive and significant effect on employee performance indirectly through training with an original sample value of 0.294 and a P value of 0.032 < 0.05, the hypothesis can be accepted.

Abstract

This research aimed at developing an integrated and creative English learning materials for grade IX students of SMP. The operational purpose are: (1) determining the design of learning material, (2) describing the result of validation by the expert of content, media and instructional design, (3) describing the result of validation by colleague and students, and (3) describing the result of the implementation try out. The subjects of evaluation were, 2 instructional experts, 2 colleagues, 10 students, and 30 students for the implementation try out. The data was collected using quetionair and test. The result of evaluation was analyzed through quantitative and qualitative descriptive technique. The results showd: (1) validation over draft I by the exspert of content 84,14%, and design 88,88%, the qualification is almost perfect, light revision was done (2) validation over draft II by colleagues 89,63% and by students from small class was 74% and big class was 75,33%, the qualification was good, light revision was done, and the students’worksheet, and the result showed that the students’ ability in vocabulary mastery more increase. This research gave outcomes for English education field, that is book for study vocabulary and for vocabulary enrichment in first level.
