Abstract

Motivation is an important factor for prospective tourists in making decisions about tourist destinations to be visited. This study aims to determine the motivation of tourists when visiting the Kinantan Magasatwa and Cultural Park tourism object, Bukittinggi City, West Sumatra. This research uses mixed methods with quantitative descriptive approach. The number of samples in this study were 100 samples who were tourists from the Kinantan Cultural and Magasatwa Park tourism object in Bukittinggi City. In this study, the data collection techniques used were observation, documentation, interviews and questionnaires. Based on the results of the study, the influence of physical motivation got a score of 1,719 with the category of strongly agreeing, cultural motivation getting a score of 980 with the category of disagreeing, social motivation getting a score of 1,350 with the category of not agreeing, and fantasy motivation getting a score of 677 with the category agreeing. Thus, the motivation for tourist visits to the Kinantan Bukittinggi Wildlife and Cultural Park tourism object is to visit on the basis of having physical motivation. Abstract

Grand Zuri Hotel Pekanbaru is part of PT. Zuri Hospitality Management (ZHM). This hotel has the highest level of guest complaints at the front office department. This is caused by a problem in the receptionist. This study was conducted to determine the role of the receptionist and the problems faced by receptionists at the front office department. Data were obtained from in-depth interviews with front office managers, front office supervisors, receptionists and regular guests, as well as direct observation and documentation. Then the data obtained were analyzed using an interactive model consisting of three steps: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Research shows that the receptionist at this hotel works as an operator, reservation, cashier and informant. This causes the receptionist can not work optimally and the hotel often received complaints from guests.Keywords: Role, Receptionist, Front Office, Hotel

Abstract

This research aims to know how community participation and how to manage the tourism object of Sarasah Murai Nagari Harau Waterfall Regency of fifty West Sumatera province and at the stage of development of existing tourism objects and potentially to be developed. This research describes qualitative methods with a descriptive approach to describing the real state by collecting data and information in field. There is a research subject of researchers using the informant as many as 9 people concerned with the subindicators. With the data collection techniques in this study use observations, interviews, and documentation. Based on the results of the research that has been done, the public response to community participation in the management of the Tourism object Sarasah Murai Nagari Harau Regency of Limfifty City West Sumatera Province has been running in four indicators of participation, namely investors, executor, managers, and monitors, each already involve the community in every participation, but on the investor's indicator is not optimal because , while the planner indicator has not been carried out because it has not involved local communities. Keywords: community participation, management, tourism object Sarasah Murai Waterfall

Abstract

A hotel is a building that is used as a sleeping room, a room for eating and drinking, a venue for various events such as weddings, meetings, birthdays, etc. There are various 4-star hotels in Pekanbaru, so the hotel class must have a good strategy and service to attract visitors, a safe and peaceful working environment can affect the feelings of the hearts of employees when doing work, so as to ensure good performance and delight guests. In this study, researchers conducted a study on the food and beverage department at the Fox Hotel Pekanbaru. The population of this study used 10 people with a saturation sample, that is, the entire population was selected. Data collection methods using questionnaires, observation and documentation. The method used in this study is classical hypothesis testing, hypothesis testing, multiple linear regression analysis, and coefficient of determination using SPSS 25. Abstract

The influence of Covid-19 has greatly impacted the world of hospitality, many hotels in Indonesia are currently experiencing a slump, including hotels in the city of Pekanbaru. One of the four-star hotels in the city of Pekanbaru is the Grand Elite Hotel Pekanbaru which is located at Jl. Riau, Riau Business Center Complex, Pekanbaru City. Hotel room cleanliness is the top priority and the best service. In this case the role of the room attendant is very important. Each room attendant job is carried out through certain established procedures. Therefore, this study aims to find out regarding the implementation of room service by the room attendant during the covid-19 period at the Grand Elite Pekanbaru hotel and what obstacles hinder the work of the room attendant in implementing room service at the Grand Elite Hotel Pekanbaru. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method to analyze problems based on data collection techniques in the form of observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Based on the results of research on the implementation of room service by room attendants during the covid-19 pandemic at the Grand Elite Pekanbaru hotel, it has gone well starting from managing rooms, serving guests, carrying out supervisor orders, collaborating with fellow friends in one section, collaborating with other sections. in one department, cooperate with other sections and other departments. But of course there are also obstacles in the implementation of room service by the room attendant itself such as the cleanliness of the linen which makes the room attendant's work speed not optimal, then the obstacle that is also often faced is cross-department work that is less than optimal but these obstacles can be overcome properly. Abstract

Kinantan Wildlife and Culture Park is one of the historical relics that has become one of the tourist attractions in Bukittinggi. The zoo was built by the Dutch East Indies government in the 1900s. The purpose of the study was to find out the tourist attractions of TMSBK and the efforts of managers in attracting visits to TMSBK. Tourist attractions must meet the conditions for the development of the area, namely what to see, what to do, what to buy, what to arrived, what to stay. A zoo is a place in the form of a park or green open space useful for demonstrating animals to the public and which is regulated as an ex-situ conservation institution. The method in the study is descriptive qualitative. As a result of the interview, Kinantan Wildlife and Cultural Park is located in the Bukittinggi Upper Market Fort which has attractions including the Limpapeh bridge and fort De Kock left over from the Dutch era. Management efforts to increase visits by means of promotion through social media and improving existing facilities. The management and the Bukittinggi City Government are working together in improving the Bukittinggi Kinantan Wildlife and Cultural Park to improve local revenue the Bukittinggi City. Abstract

The purpose of the journal is to provide broader knowledge regarding Gadget Efficiency as a learning media for primary school students in Sekar Mawar Sub-District, Indragiri Hulu Regency. the use of gadgets such as tablets in the classroom can contribute to an increase in student performance, it can also contribute to a decrease in the number of students who perform poorly in class. Not only that, gadgets also help improve the efficiency of teaching methods and students' learning capacity using tablets in class. Overall, the use of electronic gadgets has made the activities carried out in the classroom more flexible. Activities carried out by Kukerta students included conducting socialization related to the efficiency of gadgets as learning media for elementary students at SDN 003 Sekar Mawar regarding the meaning of gadgets, kinds of gadgets, positive and negative impacts of gadgets, how to use gadgets well, guidelines for using Google Meet, Zoom and Google Classroom as technology-based learning media using gadgets. Furthermore, Kukerta Students conducted a quiz with prizes which were asked to students of SDN 003 Sekar Mawar about the material described in the socialization, the last activity carried out was direct practice in using Zoom, Google Classroom, and Google Meet. Abstract

The Laundry Department is one of the departments in the hotel that is responsible for washing, both washing guest clothes (laundry, dry cleaning and pressing), employee uniforms and hotel linens (house laundry) and washing clothes or linen from outside the hotel (outside laundry). Therefore, every hotel should improve linen management by the laundry section. This study aims to determine how the management of linen by the laundry section, the constraints and efforts made at the Grand Jatra Hotel Pekanbaru. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The data collection techniques used were observation, documentation, and interviews with laundry managers, laundry supervisors and laundry employees at Grand Jatra Hotel Pekanbaru. After conducting interviews with informants, the authors concluded that the management of linen by the laundry section was good enough, because the laundry staff had implemented it in accordance with the directions set by the laundry manager. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze and find out the types of tour packages available and the Mechanism of Preparing Tour Packages at CV. Bilava Tour Travel in Pekanbaru. The research method used to write this research is qualitative. The results showed that: Types of tour packages offered at CV. Bilava Tour Travel in Pekanbaru, namely Ready Made Tour and Tailored Made Tour. Then for preparing tour packages on CV. Bilava Tour Travel in Pekanbaru went through three planning stages, namely collecting data/observations, identifying work partners, and making detailed tour package prices. The preparation of this tour package aims to travel inbound, outbound, and domestic. The target market for preparing tour packages in CV. Bilava Tour Travel namely Individual tours, Family groups, and Group tours. Companies and schools are the most frequently used target market for tour packages. Abstract

Branding is an activity to communicate, build up, and maintain a brand in order to put the perspective to other people who see it. However, branding itself is not limited to product differentiation, but is also related to trademarks, visual characteristics, credibility, perceptions, logos, images, impressions, characters and also the perceptions of consumers themselves about the product. This research aims to find out what are the stages of branding and how to implement the process of branding dodol produced by UD Kemas in such a way that it can become a unique souvenir of Bengkalis Regency. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach to describe the actual situation by collecting information data directly from the field. The key informants of this research are the founders and managers of UD Kemas, UD Kemas workers, consumers and the distributor itself. This research uses data collection techniques from literature study, observation, documentation and interviews.
