Abstract

Adolescence is a period of rapid growth that increases nutritional requirements, making adolescents more susceptible to nutritional problems when their dietary patterns are not balanced. One contributing factor is the frequent consumption of fast food, which is typically high in energy, fat, and sugar. This study aims to examine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes regarding fast food and the nutritional status of adolescents at SMA IT Nur Hidayah Sukoharjo. This observational research employed a cross-sectional design and involved 77 students selected through cluster random sampling. Data on knowledge and attitudes were collected using structured questionnaires, while nutritional status was assessed through anthropometric measurements. The data were analyzed using the Chi-Square test. The results indicate that most respondents were within the normal nutritional status category, although several were classified as overweight. While the majority of students demonstrated adequate to good knowledge of fast food, their attitudes toward fast food consumption were generally less favorable. Statistical analysis showed no significant association between knowledge and nutritional status (p=0.353), nor between attitudes and nutritional status (p=0.350). The study concludes that adequate knowledge does not necessarily correspond to optimal nutritional status, as attitudes toward fast food consumption are influenced by multiple factors. Therefore, efforts to improve adolescents' nutritional status should not only focus on providing nutritional information but also on fostering healthier attitudes and eating behaviors.

Abstract

Tingginya kebutuhan energi pada atlet sepakbola yang melakukan aktivitas intensitas tinggi, sehingga memerlukan asupan makanan selingan yang praktis, bergizi, dan mampu menyediakan energi secara stabil. Cookies merupakan salah satu produk pangan yang digemari masyarakat, namun umumnya rendah serat. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan inovasi dengan memanfaatkan bahan lokal berupa tepung pisang kepok untuk meningkatkan nilai gizi, khususnya serat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh substitusi tepung pisang kepok terhadap kadar serat kasar, kadar gula reduksi, dan tingkat kesukaan pada Cookies kacang tanah. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimental dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari empat perlakuan tingkat substitusi tepung pisang kepok, dilakukan di laboratorium dengan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui analisis kimia dan uji organoleptik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa substitusi tepung pisang kepok berpengaruh terhadap karakteristik kimia dan sensoris produk. Kadar Gula reduksi menunjukkan pola tidak linear, meningkat pada substitusi 15% dan 30%, kemudian menurun pada 45%. Kadar serat kasar tidak meningkat secara konsisten, dengan nilai tertinggi pada perlakuan kontrol, namun seluruh perlakuan tetap mengandung serat dalam kisaran 3–4%. Uji organoleptik menunjukkan bahwa semua perlakuan berada pada kategori netral hingga agak disukai, dengan perlakuan tanpa substitusi paling disukai, namun substitusi hingga 45% tidak menurunkan penerimaan secara signifikan. Secara keseluruhan, Cookies dengan substitusi tepung pisang kepok berpotensi sebagai pangan fungsional berbasis bahan lokal yang mendukung kebutuhan energi dan kesehatan pencernaan atlet sepakbola. Abstract

Futsal merupakan olahraga dengan intensitas tinggi yang memerlukan keseimbangan cairan tubuh untuk mendukung performa fisik. Asupan cairan yang tidak adekuat dapat menyebabkan dehidrasi yang berdampak pada penurunan kebugaran jasmani. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara asupan cairan dengan Total Body Water (TBW) dan kebugaran jasmani pada anggota Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa (UKM) futsal di Surakarta. Penelitian ini menerapkan desain observasional dengan pendekatan cross-sectional dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 52 responden yang dipilih melalui teknik convenience sampling. Asupan cairan diukur menggunakan metode recall 3×24 jam, TBW diukur menggunakan Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA), dan kebugaran jasmani diukur menggunakan beep test yang dikonversi menjadi nilai VO₂max. Analisis data dilakukan secara univariat dan bivariat menggunakan uji Fisher’s Exact dengan tingkat signifikansi p ≤ 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden memiliki asupan cairan dalam kategori defisit (67,3%), TBW dalam kategori normal (71,2%), dan kebugaran jasmani dalam kategori kurang (84,6%). Tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara asupan cairan dengan TBW (p = 0,101), namun terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara asupan cairan dengan kebugaran jasmani (p = 0,011). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa asupan cairan tidak berhubungan dengan TBW, tetapi berhubungan dengan kebugaran jasmani, sehingga pemenuhan kebutuhan cairan penting untuk mendukung performa fisik atlet futsal.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between the frequency of vegetable and fruit consumption and nutritional status among teachers and staff at SMP Negeri 22 Surakarta. This study was conducted in December 2025 using an analytical survey research design and cross-sectional method. The sample of this study consisted of 32 respondents selected using a simple random sampling technique. The data collected included information on gender, age, weight, height, vegetable and fruit consumption, and nutritional status of respondents. Data analysis was performed using univariate and bivariate statistical tests, with the Shapiro-Wilk normality test and Pearson correlation and Spearman Rank according to the data distribution. The results showed that the frequency of vegetable and fruit consumption did not have a significant relationship with nutritional status among teachers and staff at SMP Negeri 22 Surakarta, with a p-value of 0.153. This study contributes to understanding the factors that influence nutritional status in educational environments and encourages further research with a larger sample size and considering other variables such as physical activity and other nutritional intakes.

Abstract

Background of study: Indonesian adolescent girls face a triple burden of malnutrition: anemia, undernutrition, and obesity. Driven by poor nutritional literacy and eating disorders, these issues threaten long-term reproductive health. This community service program aims to provide reproductive nutrition education and measure the nutritional status of 40 adolescent girls at SMA Batik 1 Surakarta. Methods: The knowledge variable was measured using a 22-item instrument regarding reproductive nutrition with proven validity and reliability, while the nutritional status variable was determined using the body mass index (BMI) formula following weight and height measurements. The educational activity was conducted using a booklet containing reproductive nutrition materials, with the following time breakdown: preparation and opening (10 minutes), pretest (25 minutes), educational session using a reproductive nutrition booklet (30 minutes), posttest (25 minutes), weight and height measurements (90 minutes), and discussion and closing (30 minutes). Result: Reproductive nutrition education significantly improved knowledge scores, with the average rising from 82.4 to 88.3 (p = 0.001). While average BMI measurements of adolescent girls remained within normal ranges, but individual data showed substantial variation, particularly in weight, which ranged widely from 35.70 kg to 83.00 kg. Conclusion: Continuous programs are essential to address the lack of reproductive nutrition knowledge and malnutrition to prevent imbalanced dietary patterns, fostering awareness and health readiness for adolescent girls as future mothers to ensure healthy future generations.
