Abstract

Good Corporate Governance constitutes a framework that positively influences a company's financial performance. This research aims to ascertain and analyze the impact of Corporate Governance, company growth, and debt policy on technology sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2017 to 2021. The research utilizes secondary data extracted from annual reports accessible on the IDX website via www.idx.co.id covering a five-year period (2017-2021). Statistical analysis is conducted employing SPSS Version 25.0. Hypothesis testing is carried out using the F test and T test. Partial results indicate that the independent board of commissioners (DKI) and company growth (PP) significantly affect financial performance (ROA) among companies listed on the IDX during 2017-2021. Conversely, institutional ownership (KI), managerial ownership (KM), and debt policy (DER) demonstrate no significant impact on financial performance (ROA) within the same companies and period. Thus, it is advisable for companies to sustain and enhance their financial performance to achieve profitable outcomes, involving all stakeholders in the process.

Abstract

The high intensity of formal communication, Laong Pantar communication between village political elites, the community results in a decrease in trust. A high level of uncertainty in a relationship causes a decrease in the level of intimacy of the communication content, resulting in a high level of reciprocity (feedback). (West & Turner: 2013: 150). Someone feels uncomfortable in a relationship because they feel they are not part of the group members Gudykunts and Kim (2003). Trying to find a way out to develop a new concept or communication model. How to apply the Laong Pantar model in the implementation of village government in Sumbawa district. What are the motives for understanding and disagreement within the village political elite and the community regarding the discourse of implementing Laong Pantar. Which is more dominant between santripetal motives and santrifugal motives within the political elite and the community regarding the discourse of implementing Laong Pantar in the implementation of village government. This type of research is descriptive qualitative, natural observation, Data collection uses observation, in-depth interviews, structured interviews and documentation. The results of the study show that the Laong Pantar implementation model desired by the political elite and the community is the elaborative final communication model. The motives for disagreement among political elites are habitual or accustomed to formal communication. This is due to a decline in trust in one's own culture, along with increased workload and political motives.

Abstract

Religious education in madrasahs remains predominantly characterized by normative and ritualistic approaches, limiting its effectiveness in fostering moderate, inclusive, and socially responsive religious character. Existing studies on religious moderation tend to be programmatic and fragmented, leaving a significant gap in understanding how wasatiyah values are systematically institutionalized as a character education model within the entire madrasah ecosystem. This study aims to analyze the model of wasatiyah-based religious character formation and to examine the effectiveness of its implementation on students’ religious and social behavior at MTs Generasi Teladan Tabanan, Bali. Employing a qualitative case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis, and were thematically analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. The findings indicate that wasatiyah values are integratively embedded through institutional policies, curriculum design, dialogical pedagogical practices, school culture, student development programs, restorative counseling services, and school–family collaboration. The effectiveness of implementation is reflected in the strengthening of disciplined yet non-extreme religiosity, emotional self-regulation, non-judgmental attitudes, and enhanced social competencies such as tolerance, empathy, and the ability to coexist harmoniously within a pluralistic context. The novelty of this study lies in conceptualizing wasatiyah-based religious character education as an operational and sustainable value system within multicultural madrasah settings.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how Islamic educational philosophy is constructed and implemented in strengthening students’ character education in the digital era, as well as to formulate a conceptual model of character development grounded in Islamic values through a case study at MA Al Umm Malang. Addressing contemporary challenges such as ethical disorientation, value fragmentation, and declining self-regulation due to rapid digitalisation, this research employs a qualitative approach with an interpretive case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis, and analysed thematically within the framework of Islamic educational philosophy. The findings indicate that character education at MA Al Umm Malang is rooted in a tauhidic, holistic, and adab-oriented philosophy, in which sound Islamic creed, noble character, and moral exemplarity serve as foundational elements. These values are operationalised through an integrated educational system, continuous mentoring, and value internalisation embedded in the 24-hour pesantren environment. Furthermore, this study formulates a conceptual model consisting of five interrelated components: a tauhidic value foundation, a holistic educational system, role modelling, sustained mentoring and evaluation, and epistemic reinforcement as a filter for digital ethics. The study concludes that effective character education in the digital era requires a strong Islamic philosophical foundation and coherent institutional implementation.

Abstract

Contemporary education is increasingly dominated by instrumental rationality that prioritizes cognitive performance, efficiency, and competitiveness, often marginalizing learners’ moral and spiritual development. Within Islamic education, this tendency generates epistemological and ethical challenges manifested in value disorientation, weakened moral integrity, and fragile character formation. This study aims to formulate a conceptual model for the internalization of the spiritual values of Surah Al-Fatihah as the foundation of Islamic character education. Employing a qualitative library-based approach with a conceptual-analytical orientation, the study draws on authoritative classical Qur’anic exegesis as primary sources and contemporary Islamic educational literature as supporting references. Data are analyzed through systematic content analysis encompassing descriptive, interpretative, and applicative-synthetic stages, guided by the double movement approach to ensure contextual relevance while preserving normative substance. The findings reveal that Surah Al-Fatihah embodies a fundamental, hierarchical, and integrative structure of spiritual values, including tawhid, ‘ubudiyyah, rahmah, gratitude, guidance, and eschatological accountability. These values are mapped into three interrelated dimensions of Islamic character education spiritual orientation (ta’alluq billah), moral disposition (akhlaqiyyah), and social responsibility (insaniyyah) and synthesized into a conceptual model linking educational aims, learning content, pedagogical strategies, institutional culture, and character assessment. Overall, the study positions Surah Al-Fatihah as an epistemological and pedagogical foundation for ta’dib-oriented Islamic character education in addressing contemporary moral and spiritual challenges.

Abstract

Occupational health and safety (OHS) is essential for ensuring safe and sustainable operations, especially in high-risk industries such as the gas sector. PT Kalimantan Jawa Gas (KJG), a company engaged in natural gas transmission between Kalimantan and Java, faces operational challenges including potential gas leaks, explosions, and exposure to hazardous substances. Despite initiatives such as management visits, safety culture campaigns, and OHS audits, field data indicate ongoing issues with employee compliance in using personal protective equipment and reporting near-miss incidents. This study examines the influence of organizational culture and corporate commitment on OHS culture and its effect on employee performance at PT Kalimantan Jawa Gas. Data were collected using structured questionnaires administered to 51 permanent employees through saturated sampling and analyzed using Partial Least Squares (PLS) via SmartPLS software. The results show that organizational culture significantly affects employee performance but not OHS culture, while corporate commitment significantly influences OHS culture but not employee performance. OHS culture, in turn, has a significant positive impact on employee performance. The study concludes that enhancing employee performance requires strengthening organizational culture and fostering a strong OHS culture through committed workplace safety practices, continuous training, leadership role modeling, and consistent monitoring.
