Abstract

i-Waris is an application that provides legacy calculations for users who need it. The downloader's assessment data on the PlayStore application market shows that there are still many users who still question the existing calculations in the i-Waris application because there are many calculations that confuse users. Even though this feature is the main feature of the application, users feel that they are not getting maximum results in this application. Therefore, we evaluate the usability of user convenience and how user interacts with the i-Waris application. To find out the usability conditions used usability testing with a qualitative approach, which provides 17 task scenarios and in each scenario there is a SEQ (Single Ease Question) questionnaire from the results of the SEQ questionnaire in the i-Waris application getting an average value of 3.2 which means it is in the difficult category. . From usability testing with 17 task scenarios, new problems are found in the i-Waris application. The results of interviews and observations indicate that the i-Waris application still has many problems and lacks the information required by users, for example the inaccessible “about” page and explanation of calculation results that do not exist on the mobile application. The problems found in the i-Waris application are 33 problems. Therefore, it is necessary to fix the i-Waris application to solve existing problems such as fixing the "about" page and fixing the information / explanation that is more accurate.

Abstract

Social Studies Education (PIPS) ULM Banjarmasin is one of the study programs under the auspices of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) ULM Banjarmasin. PIPS ULM Banjarmasin uses the website as a media delivery information. However, there are still problems found on the website based on the author's observation and interview that conducted to the users and stakeholders of the website such as unfamiliar category naming, grouping content that does not conform to its category, less-updated content and the uninteractive user interface of the website. Based on the problems found, those problems are categorized in the field of website's Information Architecture. To overcome those problems, evaluation and recommendation of solution design are needed. This research uses the Human-Centered Design (HCD) approach to produce an interactive design solution. Card sorting is used to help the compilation of the information content on the solution design based on user needs with the end result of Sitemap. In designing the solution design, guidelines are used to limit the scope of the problems so the problems that had been defined can be focused to be solved. The guidelines which are used came from usability guidelines, the supporting website and the consent of the stakeholders. Once the design of the solution is completed, the increased value of the aspect is achieved. The initial value of success rate aspect was 31.11% and has increased to 91.11%. The initial value of directness aspect was 14.45% and has increased to 60%. The initial value of time spent aspect was 44.37 s and has reduced to 13.49 s. The initial value of first click aspect was 21.11% and has increased to 76.67%. The initial value of destination aspect was 31.11% and has increased to 91.11%.

Abstract

STIE Widya Gama Lumajang Academic Information System (SIAKAD Wiga) is a means of managing academic activities regarding lectures and delivering structured and integrated information to users including lecturers and students. The system has never been evaluated on system usability. The purpose of research on SIAKAD Wiga is to find problems experienced by users when interacting with the system using Usability Testing and interviews and then design improvements to SIAKAD Wiga as a form of interface comparison. This study uses 8 respondents by dividing 2 types of lecturer and student users based on the intensity using by the system. From the results of interface improvements, an increase in usability test results on the learnability matrix by 2.0 dropped to 1.7 for lecturer users and by 1.5 dropped to 1.4 for student users. Matrix efficiency by 53% increase to 100% for lecturer users and by 86% increase to 100% for student users. The memorability matrix at the initial evaluation with an average number of clicks and an average working time of 48 clicks and 451.5 seconds dropped to 46 clicks and 223.5 seconds for lecturer users and by 50 clicks and 176.5 seconds dropped to 45 clicks and 121 seconds for student users. Matrix errors of 1.92% dropped to 0% for lecturer users and 9.84% dropped to 0% for student users. The satisfaction matrix at the initial evaluation of 40.62% increase to 76.25%.

Abstract

Vocational High Schools (SMK) have one goal to equip students in dealing with the world of work / industry. Subjects that support the objectives of the Vocational High School (SMK) are Industrial Work Practices (PRAKERIN). State Vocational High School 2 Malang has a problem that is the absence of technology that can help in the process of Industrial Work Practices (PRAKERIN) to monitor the problems faced by students during Industrial Work Practices (PRAKERIN). In practice, the supervisor of the internship program only monitors students about two weeks or once a month which is done manually. This makes it difficult for schools to monitor and find out the obstacles or problems faced by students while attending industrial work activities. The purpose of this study is to facilitate the school to monitoring the problems faced by students while participating in the internship activities using a website-based application. For the development model of the monitoring application, the problem of industrial work practice students using the Evolutionary Prototype. Stages in developing the application of monitoring the problems of students who are prakerin are requirement analysis, design system, implementation system and testing. The results of the development of monitoring apprenticeship students' problems have four users namely admin of SMK Negeri 2 Malang, Teacher Guidance, Field Guidance and Students. The features of the student monitoring application Industrial work practices consist of registers, logins, logouts, user management, group management, student management practices, see student offenders, manage violations, export violations, manage solutions, export solutions. Application testing uses 2 methods, namely black-box testing and user acceptance testing. Black-box testing to find out all the functionalities that have been made are valid and can run well. While user acceptance testing is conducted on 4 respondents with details of 1 respondent as admin, 1 respondent as supervisor, 1 respondent as field supervisor and 1 respondent as student of industrial work practices. User acceptance testing to get feedback directly from each respondent. The results of user acceptance testing to 4 respondents obtained 100% results answered Yes so that applications can be accepted as needed.

Abstract

Vocational High School first in the field of Computer Network Engineering (CNE) e-learning which is often used as a learning medium about assembling a computer or PC. Currently, one that is being used for computer learning through STEAM is the PC Building Simulator game. PC Building Simulator game is an online game for simulating assembling a Personal Computer (PC). The aim of the study is to see whether the UX value is good The Game Experience Questionnaire is an evaluation instrument designed with a game objective in mind. The number of respondents used 30 participants who are students from class 10 majoring TKJ-1 at SMKN 3 Malang who have used e-learning and have knowledge of e-learning. The method used is quantitative data taken using a questionnaire. the results of the UX value evaluation, get a score of 3.07 in either category or agree. Therefore, the PC Building Simulator game media can be used in class 10 TKJ learning, this competency aspect has a good value, which shows that PC Building can still be played by new players who are not familiar with simulator type games. The problems that mostly arise in all assignments are the limitations of the devices or laptops owned by students, the devices used by students are inadequate, the students' difficulties in translating English, the students do not understand the mission in the game. Abstract

Layanan Paspor Online is a mobile application for online passport queue registration developed by Directorate General of Immigration Indonesia which has been implemented at Malang Class I Immigration Office. But in its application there are some problems such as the colors that are too flashy, the registration process is complicated, less attractive design, and less user friendly where people who lack of knowledge about technology find it difficult to use this application. Based on these problems, it is necessary to analyze and improve the user interface using usability testing method. The usability aspect used in this method are learnability, efficiency, error, and satisfaction. Respondents who participated in this study were 5 people for usability testing and 20 people for system usability scale questionnaire. The result of the learnability aspect measured using success rate metric increased from before the improvement by 90% to 98,6% after the improvement. The efficiency aspect measured using time based efficiency metric increased from before the improvement by 0,2 goals/sec to 0,3 goals/sec after the improvement. The error aspect measured using defective rate metric decreased from 8,90% to 1.1%. The satisfaction aspect measured using System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire increased from before the improvement by 66 to 77 after the improvement. From these result, the improvement given to Layanan Paspor Online application can fix the problem found.

Abstract

MejaKita is an online-based learning media specifically designed as a space for students in Indonesia to share knowledge and learn together. The usability on this application was evaluated to find out how far the system works, to see the effect of interface design from users, and to identify the obstacles in the system. The evaluation was directed to 10 categorized respondents as potential users of the application. The usability evaluation of MejaKita application was about to measure 3 aspects of usability as effectiveness, efficiency, and satisfaction, by using those methods such as completion rate, overall relative efficiency, and the system usability scale questionnaire. After first evaluation, turned out the problem was needs of improvement on the application design to figured out whether the planned draft meets the user needs. MejaKita uses Goal-Directed Design as method to create a design improvement that meets user needs and to get validation from the first plan by developer when the application was made. The results of final evaluation scored 91,4% and 78,9% as two aspects increased 35,7% and 35,2% in total. The outcome of system usability scale of satisfaction aspect scored 77,75 which increased 30,25 from last evaluation and get acceptable category scored B+.

Abstract

MAGMA Indonesia is a platform for providing information on geological phenomena and potential natural disasters in the form of a website and mobile application developed by the Center for Volcanology and Geological Mitigation (PVMBG) under the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM). Although functionally WEBGIS disaster is already good even though there are few users, the quality of usability cannot be ruled out and it does not rule out that there are some functions that are less attractive to users and become problems for the purpose of creating the system. This problem is part of the usability problem that exists in the MAGMA Indonesia application. So there is a need for more intensive usability testing to measure the quality of usability as empirical evidence of user responses to the system. The focus of this research is to evaluate usability on the MAGMA Indonesia website using the WEBUSE questionnaire and interviews. The flow method used to test usability is the User-Centered Design methodology approach. Usability test results show that the overall usability point is good, consisting of Content, Organization, and Readability 0.76, Navigation and Links 0.73, User Interface Design 0.83, Performance and Effectiveness 0.74. This research also produces recommendations for improvement solutions and additional features from the list of usability problems found by examiners and can be used as a reference for the MAGMA Indonesia website development team in making website usability improvements.

Abstract

Efforts to improve the quality of public health services continue to be carried out by the Government of Malang. In achieving the increase in access and health services, the Government not only realizes this through improvement of supporting facilities and infrastructure, but also in the form of application-based health services that make it easier for patients to gain access to health services. Today, many countries are innovating to build smart city in order to maximize services for their people, including the Indonesian state. At present the Office of Communication and Information (Kominfo) of Malang City is also working to develop Malang towards smart city. Therefore, to realize this desire one of them can be done by improving the quality of health services in the city of Malang, so it is necessary to design an interaction design for integrated mobile apps based health service applications in order to provide services in an effective, efficient and comfortable way to use the community. This interaction design applies the Human-Centered Design method that focuses on users and stakeholders. At the evaluation stage, testing was conducted with 20 participants using the Remote Usability Testing technique and using the System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire, then the test results obtained were the aspect value effectiveness of 99%, efficiency value of 83% and satisfaction value 77.1 which means getting Grade Scale is C value with acceptable level which is high. With this score results get adjective ratings in the 'Good' category.
