Abstract

Bank Muamalat as an Islamic financial institution operates without an interest system, so it is expected to be able to overcome the economic problems of Muslims through various financing schemes, including musyarakah financing. The greater the increase in musyarakah financing, the greater the potential for increasing bank income. However, not all financing has a significant impact on income. This study aims to analyze the effect of musyarakah financing on PT. Bank Muamalat's income during January-October 2019. The method used is quantitative with classical assumption test analysis techniques, simple regression, coefficient of determination, and t-test. The results of the study showed that musyarakah financing had a significant effect on Bank Muamalat's income with a correlation value of 0.921. The regression equation obtained is Y = 4.305 - 0.263X, which means that the effect of musyarakah financing on income is 92.1%, while 7.9% is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

Abstract

This study examines the moderating role of company performance in the relationship between carbon emission disclosure, eco-efficiency, and firm value, with Return on Assets (ROA) as the moderating variable. The research focuses on non-financial sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2022–2023 period. Using a causal associative quantitative approach, panel data regression analysis was conducted with EViews version 13 to test direct and interaction effects. The findings reveal that eco-efficiency has a statistically significant partial effect on enhancing firm value. In contrast, carbon emission disclosure exhibits no significant impact on firm value. Furthermore, company performance (ROA) fails to moderate or strengthen the relationship between carbon emission disclosure, eco-efficiency, and firm value. These results suggest that eco-efficiency practices play a critical role in driving corporate valuation, whereas carbon emission disclosures remain undervalued by market stakeholders. The study highlights the need for firms to prioritize operational eco-efficiency over voluntary environmental disclosures to align sustainability efforts with financial outcomes. This research provides empirical insights for corporate managers, investors, and policymakers to refine strategies that integrate environmental accountability with value creation in emerging markets.

Abstract

Article Highlights:- The ITS region exhibits no genetic variation among butterfly pea genotypes.- ISSR reveals high polymorphism, proving effective for genetic diversity analysis.- White single and purple single genotypes show the greatest genetic distance.- ISSR-6 ((CT)₈TG) demonstrates the highest polymorphism and reliability for assessment.- The ITS sequences have been deposited in GenBank under the accession IDs PQ198055–PQ198061. ABSTRACTClitoria ternatea L., a perennial plant in the Fabaceae, is recognized for its resilience in tropical climates and its diverse applications in both culinary and medicinal fields. However, the limited exploration of its genetic diversity constrains breeding efforts aimed at improving desirable traits. This limitation highlights the need to optimize selection strategies, identify superior genotypes, and preserve valuable genetic resources for long-term conservation and crop enhancement. This study aimed to explore genetic variation using molecular markers to analyze C. ternatea genotypes based on petal architecture and color differences. To assess the genetic diversity of C. ternatea, Sanger sequencing of the Internal Transcribed Spacer (ITS) region and Inter-Simple Sequence Repeat (ISSR) markers were applied to seven wild populations from Sleman, Yogyakarta. The ITS region exhibited no genetic variation, indicating its conserved nature and limited ability to differentiate genotypes. In contrast, ISSR markers effectively detected genetic variation, identifying 62 polymorphic fragments out of 162 total bands. The highest genetic distance (0.297) was observed between the WS and PS genotypes, whereas the double-petal genotypes (WD and PD) displayed the closest phenetic relationship. Among the ISSR primers, UBC-808, UBC-812, and ISSR-6 exhibited high PIC and RP values, confirming their reliability in genetic diversity analysis. These results underscore the utility of ISSR markers as a robust tool for genetic diversity assessment, offering valuable insights for breeding programs and germplasm conservation in C. ternatea.

Abstract

Barramundi (Lates calcarifer) are economically valuable and usually cultivated in tropical marine hatcheries. Their fertilization and hatching rates are generally high, but poor survivorship of larvae due to cannibalism and cohort mismanagement remains a problem. In this study, we sought to address field-based techniques for controlling cannibalism and augmenting larval survival in large-scale hatcheries at Balai Besar Perikanan Budidaya Laut (BBPBL), Lampung, Indonesia. A 30-day rearing cycle was completed through descriptive observation methods focused on reproduction, and growth monitoring was performed concerning feeder grade improvement. The recorded data indicated a fertilization rate of 86% alongside an impressive hatching rate of 96%. However, the survival rate dropped to 52%, primarily due to cannibalism. Considerable size disparity among cohorts, lack of grading during asynchronous growth periods, and stunted development seem to drive cannibalism under these conditions. Increasing the frequency or decreasing the size gap between assessments has proven effective in enhancing survival levels alongside better feeding synchronization, water quality management, and reduced particulate matter concentration in water tanks. These outcomes will assist tropical aquaculture systems with long-term sustainable frameworks while providing actionable insight to hatchery managers without further testing

Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of cigarette prices on cigarette consumption in Indonesia. By using aggregate macro data on cigarette consumption (administrative data) for 2015-2020, estimated using OLS, 2SLS, GMM, and System-GMM, we found that cigarette prices have a negative and significant effect on cigarette consumption based on myopic and rational addiction models. The estimation results also confirm that cigarettes are inelastic products where price changes do not significantly impact cigarette consumption. It implies that the Government needs to significantly increase excise rates and minimum selling prices regularly to control cigarette consumption more effectively.
