Effective stress management is the key to improving nurse performance and the quality of health services. Therefore, optimizing stress management is an important focus in efforts to improve nurse performance. The aim of this service aims to optimize stress management strategies and evaluate their impact on improving the performance of nurses in hospitals. The methods used include stress management training for nurses in hospital inpatient rooms. Data was collected through surveys, interviews, and observations before and after strategy implementation. Results Nurse performance scores and stress levels were measured using a questionnaire. Before implementing the strategy, the average nurse performance score was 3.5 with an average stress level of 4.2. After implementing the stress management strategy, the performance score increased to 4.1 and the stress level decreased to 3.2, indicating that the stress management strategy was successful in improving nurse performance and reducing stress levels. Optimizing stress management is effective in improving nurse performance and reducing stress levels in hospitals. This program makes a positive contribution to the quality of health services and the work welfare of nurses. Recommendations include continued implementation of these strategies and provision of additional support for nurses.

Abstract

The topical antioxidant product may be useful for the treatment of oxidative stress-related skin disorder. This research aimed to evaluate a topical gel formulation of Garcinia mangostana L. fruit pericarp (GMP) extract. GMP extract was formulated into a gel and characterized for its physical properties. The antioxidant activity was evaluated based on the radical 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) scavenging activity. The ability of gel formulation to release GMP extract and promote skin delivery was estimated based on DPPH scavenging method and also compared to that of suspension form. The results showed that the GMP extract gel showed characteristics for topical application. The radical DPPH scavenging activity was confirmed both in GMP extract and GMP extract gel. In vitro study release showed that the GMP extract was released from gel. Some degree of GMP extract was also delivered into the shed snakeskin in vitro. When compared with the suspension form, GMP extract gel provided a more profoundly lower release.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to provide insight and knowledge of microlearning learning media for teachers in laboratory elementary schools. The training and mentoring approach is used in this community service activity. This community service activity is carried out through the stages of socialization, training, technology application, mentoring and evaluation, and program sustainability. At the evaluation stage, it was carried out with pre-test and post- test sheets which were then analyzed using the SPSS 24.0 program. Based on the results of post-test calculations, there was a significant improvement in the skills of participants before and after participating in training activities. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a need for regular training and mentoring activities, especially in increasing the instructional capacity of teachers in the current digital era. Through this community service activity, it is hoped that it will be able to produce a teaching module and post-activity monitoring.

Abstract

The MSME sector plays an important role in the development of the national and regional economy. MSMEs can increase income, reduce unemployment rates in villages and can increase entrepreneurial experience. Mekarsari Village has a variety of MSMEs which have great potential to improve community welfare. However, the problem faced by MSME in Mekarsari Village is a lack of knowledge about creating packaging designs, labels and registering trademarks to protect intellectual property rights. The aim of this service is to provide assistance in creating and updating packaging and labels so that the products produced are more attractive and have a higher selling price, as well as providing knowledge about how to register trademarks so they can compete with competitors. The methods used in this service are direct observation, interviews and discussions and implementation. The results obtained from this service are the creation of understanding among MSME players in Mekarsari village about how to make packaging and labels so that the products produced are more innovative. This service also increases the legal awareness of the MSME community regarding the importance of registering trademarks and how to register these brands.

Abstract

The increasing use of gadgets among Indonesian teenagers, with 98.3% using mobile phones, has raised concerns about its impact on mental health. Studies indicate that excessive gadget use can lead to anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, social isolation, poor academic performance, and problematic behavior. However, public awareness of these risks remains low, particularly in Ciamis Regency, where no definitive data on gadget addiction and mental health exists. This study aims to assess the prevalence of gadget addiction and its impact on adolescent mental health in Ciamis Regency through a cross-sectional observation of 100 teenagers aged 13-18 years. Socio-demographic factors such as age, gender, school type, parental occupation, and academic performance were analyzed, along with variables like gadget type, usage duration, internet activity, and parental or teacher supervision. To measure gadget addiction, the SASSV Scale was used, while mental health was assessed through the Generalized Anxiety Disorder Scale (GAD-7) and the Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9) for depression. The study found a strong correlation between gadget dependence and mental health, with anxiety (correlation coefficient of 0.794) and depression (0.619) both significantly linked to gadget use. The findings highlight the negative effects of uncontrolled gadget use on adolescent mental well-being, particularly regarding anxiety. Key influencing factors include the frequency, type of application used, and duration of gadget use. The study emphasizes the need for effective strategies to manage gadget use among adolescents to mitigate these mental health risks.

Abstract

Stingrays are a type of fish that has experienced a reasonably high population decline in nature due to their relatively low reproduction, overfishing, and habitat degradation, so it is feared that they could become extinct. This study analyses the length-weight relationship, condition factors, and growth patterns of Himantura uarnacoides stingrays landed at TPI Dumai Riau Province. This study was conducted in May–July 2023 and June–July 2024. The number of samples analyzed was 48 (24 females and 24 males). The results showed that the length of H. uarnacoides stingrays that landed at TPI Dumai ranged from 32.5–78 cm. The smallest fish size was in the 27.5–35.5 cm class range. The size of the fish most often caught was in the 51.5–59.5 cm class range. The highest condition factor value of 1.40 was found in the 28–25 cm class range. The length-weight relationship shows the equation W = 0.000059L2.869 with a coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.911. The growth pattern of the H. uarnacoides stingray is negative allometric
