Abstract

The footwear industry is one of the industry sectors that has a prospective influence on the growth of the Indonesian economy. The need for footwear is now transforming into a part of a lifestyle. The aim of this research is to look at and analyze what brand personality factors are appropriate in the context of developing countries, especially Indonesia, based on literary studies by Aaker (1997), Geuens (2009), and Davies. (2018). This research provides a new insight into brand personality in the context of Indonesia's perspective. The sample is a local shoe user with a set sample quota in the five provinces that have the most shoe companies registered with the Ministry of Industry. The study used a total of 225 respondents. The results show that the brand's personality dimension has formed. The study provides a new perspective on the brand personality dimension from an Indonesian perspective, given that no study specifically defines brand personality. This research has become interesting because there are still very few articles describing the concept of brand personality in developing countries, which limits researchers' preparation of research. In the future, it is expected that business owners will begin to consider the importance of the essence of a brand so that brand personality is created for local brands in Indonesia.

Abstract

Bali’s hospitality industry is facing increasing tension between rapid tourism growth and mounting environmental pressure, which may weaken the destination’s sustainable positioning. In this context, green marketing plays an important strategic role by integrating environmental considerations into product, price, place, and promotion. When sustainability signals are visible, credible, and consistent, green marketing can support hospitality rebranding while reducing the risk of greenwashing perceptions. This study examines the effect of green marketing on brand awareness and brand image, and tests the mediating role of brand awareness through the lens of Signaling Theory, where green marketing functions as the signal, brand awareness reflects signal reception, and brand image represents the cognitive outcome. A quantitative survey was conducted with 144 guests who had stayed between February 2025 and January 2026 at Ini Vie Hospitality villas or resorts in Bali holding Eco Climate Badge Gold or Silver certification from Eco Tourism Bali. The data were analyzed using PLS-SEM. The findings reveal that green marketing has a positive and significant effect on brand awareness (β = 0.764, p < 0.001) and brand image (β = 0.520, p < 0.001), while brand awareness also positively influences brand image (β = 0.411, p < 0.001). In addition, brand awareness significantly mediates the relationship between green marketing and brand image. These findings show that credible and verifiable sustainability signals can strengthen brand image through stronger brand awareness, while also offering practical guidance for hospitality managers in aligning environmental practices with consistent communication across guest touchpoints.

Abstract

Abstract

Education fairs are important service encounters in international higher education marketing because they connect prospective students with foreign universities through direct communication and information exchange. This study examines how communication quality and information quality at education fairs influence Indonesian digital natives' intention to study abroad, with student motivation as a mediating mechanism. A quantitative explanatory survey was conducted with 346 Indonesian respondents who had plans to study abroad and had attended an education fair within the previous 12 months. The data were analyzed using SPSS for respondent profiling and PLS-SEM with SmartPLS 4 for measurement and structural model evaluation. The findings show that communication quality positively affects student motivation (β = .256, p = .017), information quality positively affects student motivation (β = .422, p < .001), and student motivation strongly affects intention to study abroad (β = .800, p < .001). However, the direct effects of communication quality and information quality on intention are not significant. Motivation significantly mediates both relationships, indicating indirect-only mediation. The model explains 64.0% of the variance in intention to study abroad.

Abstract

The uneven adoption of digital marketing among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Tandes District, Surabaya, has become a significant challenge that limits business competitiveness in an increasingly digitalized economic environment. Although various government initiatives have promoted MSME digitalization, at the local level many business actors still experience limited digital literacy, inconsistent online promotional practices, and low utilization of digital platforms for market expansion. This condition highlights the urgency of implementing community service programs that focus on strengthening the digital marketing capacity of MSME actors. This community service activity aims to identify the level of knowledge and readiness of MSMEs in adopting digital marketing and to strengthen their digital marketing capacity through a participatory approach. The method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR) involving 63 MSME actors as active participants. The activities were carried out through several stages, including participatory problem identification, digital marketing training and mentoring, completion of a self-assessment instrument covering eight digital marketing competency indicators, and joint reflection and evaluation. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics to assess readiness levels and correlation analysis to examine the relationship between digital literacy, frequency of online promotion, number of online customers, and business turnover. The results indicate that the level of digital marketing adoption among MSMEs is at a moderate level, with mean scores ranging from 2.81 to 3.22. The highest competency is the ability to identify target markets (M = 3.22), while the lowest competency relates to conducting online competitor analysis and price benchmarking (M = 2.81). Correlation analysis also shows a positive relationship between digital literacy, the intensity of online promotion, the number of online customers, and increased business turnover.

Abstract

Social Customer Relationship Management (S-CRM) integrates traditional CRM with social media platforms, enabling more personalized and interactive communication between businesses and customers. In the hospitality industry, especially amid growing competition and digitalization, S-CRM plays a vital role in maintaining customer relationships and driving business outcomes. This study aims to analyze the effect of S-CRM on purchase intention and customer loyalty within 76 hotels under Azana Hospitality in Indonesia. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 395 respondents who had previously made reservations at Azana hotels, selected through convenience sampling. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS 4 was employed to test the measurement and structural models. The results show that S-CRM significantly influences both purchase intention and customer loyalty. Furthermore, purchase intention significantly mediates the relationship between S-CRM and customer loyalty. These findings highlight the theoretical implication that S-CRM enhances customer engagement and loyalty through increased intention to purchase. Practically, the study underscores the importance for hospitality businesses to invest in S-CRM strategies to build stronger customer relationships, improve brand loyalty, and ensure sustainable competitive advantage. This research contributes to the growing literature on digital CRM practices and offers valuable insights for hotel management and marketers.

Abstract

In the digital era, social media has become a powerful platform for brand promotion, with celebrity endorsers playing a key role in influencing consumer behavior. This study aims to evaluate celebrity endorsers' impact on enhancing Miracle Face Mist Sugarlab's brand awareness and examine the relationship between social media marketing efforts, brand awareness, and purchase intention. A quantitative approach was employed, and data were analyzed using Multiple Regression Analysis (MRA) through the SPSS Process tool to test the proposed hypotheses. The study focused on identifying how digital celebrity endorsements affect brand perception and consumer decision-making. The findings indicate that both social media marketing activities and the presence of celebrity endorsers significantly increase brand awareness. Furthermore, brand awareness was found to affect consumers’ intention to purchase the product strongly. These results highlight the importance of strategic influencer collaboration and effective social media engagement in driving brand visibility and consumer interest. The implications of this research suggest that beauty and skincare brands can optimize marketing outcomes by leveraging well-targeted celebrity endorsers in digital campaigns, thereby enhancing consumer trust and purchase likelihood.

Abstract

The workforce in a company has a career cycle that must be managed well, especially in the position of marketing staff. Marketing staff are involved in the internal dimensions of the organization as well as unique external elements every day. The function of marketing staff in a production or service company is very vital, considering that the success of a company selling products or services is highly dependent on the success of the marketing sector so that every phase that affects the productivity of marketers must be an important concern for the organization. Career Plateau is a phase in a professional career where the possibility of job promotion is getting smaller and the type and quality of work become monotonous. A situation where marketers feel trapped with no way to advance or move up in the company even though each individual has tried to improve their performance and develop their skills experiences structural career stagnation which can result in discomfort, discomfort can cause cynicism and cynicism can trigger inertia. In this study, Empowering leadership has a significant moderation of the relationship between discomfort and cynicism so that employees are more motivated to work, feel appreciated and participate in achieving organizational goals, however, Empowering leadership does not have a significant role in moderating the relationship between cynicism and inertia. Inertia cannot be reduced by empowerment patterns. Radical changes are needed to the corporate culture through cultural transformation, policy overhaul and renewal of the human capital system.
