Abstract

This study aims to produce mathematics learning tools in the form of Lesson Plans (RPP) and Student Worksheets (LKPD) with Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) Approaches in Junior High Schools that have been tested valid. This study uses the development or R&D method using the ADDIE model, namely: 1) Analysis, 2) Design, 3) Development, 4) Implementation, and 5) Evaluation. The data collection technique used is validation data from experts. The data analysis technique is validation data analysis. From the study results, the results of the RPP validation were 86.77% in the very valid category, and the LKPD validation results were 85.41% in the very valid category. This study obtained that the mathematics learning tools with the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) Approach in Junior High Schools were very valid.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian adalah membuat instrumen tes kemampuan literasi numerasi berbasis HOTS yang tervalidasi untuk materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel. Model 4-D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) merupakan model pengembangan yang digunakan dalam jenis penelitian penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) yang dilakukan. SMPN 34 Pekanbaru menjadi lokasi penelitian semester genap tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Fokus penelitian adalah instrumen penilaian berbasis HOTS untuk evaluasi kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa kelas VIII pada materi SPLDV. Lembar validasi instrumen digunakan sebagai alat pengumpul data. Berdasarkan analisis data, validasi instrumen penilaian kemampuan literasi numerasi menghasilkan rata-rata nilai indeks Aiken sebesar 0,78 dengan kategori cukup valid dan rata-rata sebesar 0,76 dengan kategori valid untuk validitas isi. Berdasarkan daya pembeda soal, dapat dilihat bahwa satu butir soal mempunyai daya pembeda yang cukup, dan ada lima soal yang dapat digunakan untuk menguji pemahaman literasi numerasi siswa. Dengan demikian, dapat dikatakan bahwa proses pembuatan instrumen tes kemampuan literasi numerasi akan menghasilkan instrumen yang sudah terbukti validitasnya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan setiap soal uraian kalkulus integral yang disusun berdasarkan indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis dan berdasarkan level akademik mahasiswa. Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif.  Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester 2 tahun ajaran 2014/2015 Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika FKIP UIR Pekanbaru yang sedang mengikuti mata kuliah kalkulus 2 berjumlah sebanyak 115 orang. Subjek dibagi atas tiga kelompok yaitu mahasiswa pada level kemampuan tinggi (10 orang), mahasiswa pada level kemampuan sedang (88 orang), dan mahasiswa pada level kemampuan rendah (17 orang). Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik tes dan wawancara. Pengolahan keabsahan data menggunakan teknik triangulasi (mereduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa: (1) Mahasiswa pada level kemampuan tinggi yang menjawab dengan benar soal pada indikator 1 sebanyak 4 orang (40%), indikator 2 sebanyak 8 orang (80%), dan indikator 3 sebanyak 5 orang (50%); (2) Mahasiswa pada level kemampuan sedang yang menjawab dengan benar soal pada indikator 1 sebanyak 5 orang (5,68%), indikator 2 sebanyak 75 orang (85,23%), dan indikator 3 sebanyak 8 orang (9,09%); (3) Mahasiswa pada level kemampuan rendah yang menjawab dengan benar soal pada indikator 1 sebanyak 0 orang (0%), indikator 2 sebanyak 13 orang (68,42%), indikator 3 sebanyak 5 orang (26,32%); (4) Secara keseluruhan, indikator 1 sebanyak 9 orang (7,69%), indikator 2 sebanyak 96 orang (82,05%), dan indikator 3 sebanyak 18 orang (15,38%). This research aims to describe the ability of students to solve any problem at integral calculus course which is based indicators of mathematical critical thinking ability and  level mathematical ability of students. Research method used in this study is a qualitative research. Subjects in this study were students of the 2nd semester 2014/2015 academic year at Mathematics Education FKIP UIR Pekanbaru. This population of this study were 115 students participating in  integral calculus course. Subjects were divided into three groups: students in high-level abilities (10), students in medium-level (88), and students in low-level (17). Data collection techniques in this study using the test and interview techniques. Processing of data validity using triangulation techniques (data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion). Based on the results of the study are found that: (1) Students at a high-level correctly answering questions on the indicator 1 of 4 students (40%), indicator 2 of 8 students (80%), and 3 indicators as much (50%); (2) Students at the level of ability is being correctly answering questions on the indicator 1 5 students (5.68%), indicator 2 many as 75 students (85.23%), and indicators 3 of 8 persons (9.09%) ; (3) Students at a low level ability correctly answering questions on a first indicator from 0 (0%), indicator 2 as many as 13 students (68.42%), indicator 3 by 5 votes (26.32%); (4) Overall, the indicators one by 9 votes (7.69%), indicator 2 as many as 96 students (82.05%), and a third indicator as many as 18 students (15.38%).

Abstract

This study aims to find out the improvement of students’ mathematical critical thinking viewed from curiosity through teaching materials with Problem Based Learning model. This is quasi-experimental research. The samples are, where the overall population consists of 75 samples divided into two classes.  This research employed a simple random sampling technique.  The instruments were the mathematical critical thinking skill test and curiosity questionnaire. The technique of data collection was carried out with test and non-test techniques. The data were analyzed through a two-way Anova test. Based on the analysis and interpretation of the research findings, it was found that: there was an improvement in students’ mathematical critical thinking skill from High curiosity by using teaching materials with Problem Based Learning model; 1) There was an improvement from  Average curiosity through learning with Integral Calculus teaching materials; 2) There was an improvement from Low curiosity; 3) There was no improvement from the level of curiosity (High,  Medium,  Low) through Problem-based Learning. 4) There was no influence between the level of curiosity and learning in improving students’ mathematical critical thinking skills. Do more in-depth studies related to improving mathematical critical thinking skills by reviewing other affective aspects.

Abstract

The large number of studies on madrasas on Scopus means that madrasas can be used as an option for researchers in conducting research. This research aims to look at the grouping and novelty of keywords using Vosviewer. This research used 323 documents that had been sorted according to keywords. From the results of the analysis, there are fourteen research groups based on keywords in madrasa research in the Scopus database, namely improving educational practices in madrasas, developing madrasa education in rural areas, preserving architectural heritage in madrasas, improving the Arabic language curriculum in Aliyah madrasas, Islamic pedagogy and practice. memorization, heritage preservation and restoration techniques, Islamic boarding school management, integration of character in online learning during the pandemic, madrasas and maktab religious education and national training, teacher performance and academic achievement, development of religious character, leadership in moral education, environmental learning in Muslim communities, as well as the study of Islamic history. Meanwhile, the novelty of keywords such as mausoleum, Islamic boarding schools, learners, character building, online learning, emotional intelligence, critical thinking skills, and learning outcomes indicates the novelty of the keywords so that these keywords can be used as research recommendations in research on madrasas in the Scopus database.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kepraktisan bahan ajar persamaan diferensial biasa berbasis Wankat and Oreovocz Problem Solving Strategies yang ditinjau berdasarkan gaya kognitif. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika FKIP Universitas Islam Riau pada semester genap 2023/2024. Mahasiswa semester 5 yang berjumlah sebanyak 47 orang. Penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dipilih untuk mewujudkan tujuan penelitian tersebut. Lembar GEFT dan lembar praktikalitas bahan ajar digunakan untuk mendapatkan data dalam penelitian ini. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa persentase praktikalitas bahan ajar menurut gaya kognitif field dependent lebih besar (98%) dibandingkan dengan persentase praktikalitas bahan ajar menurut gaya kognitif field independent. (97%). Persentase pada setiap aspek praktikalitas (tampilan bahan ajar, penyajian materi, pembelajaran, dan manfaat bahan ajar) menurut gaya kognitif field dependent lebih besar (98%, 94%, 97% dan 91%) dibandingkan  dengan persentase pada setiap aspek praktikalitas (tampilan bahan ajar, penyajian materi, pembelajaran, dan manfaat bahan ajar) menurut gaya kognitif field independent (97%, 91%, 94%, 85%).

The existence of teaching materials that can make students learn actively independently, encourage curiosity, and improve their mathematical abilities is needed. This research aims to produce teaching materials for ordinary differential equations that contain the steps of Wankat and Oreovocz Problem Solving Strategies (I can explore, plan, do it, check, and generalize). This research was conducted in the odd semester of 2023/2024 at the FKIP UIR Mathematics Education Study Program by involving 5th-semester students as product test subjects. Development research was used in this study, using a 4D design (define, design, development, and dissemination). The research instrument consisted of validation sheets and the practicality of teaching materials. Validation of teaching materials was carried out by 3 validators, while the practicality trial of teaching materials was carried out by using teaching materials in the learning process. Data obtained from validators and students will be analyzed descriptively quantitatively, while information related to suggestions, input, and student responses will be analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The teaching materials developed received an assessment with a score of 0.9 or with very valid criteria. While 95% or almost all responses stated that the teaching materials used were very practical, it was still found that students could not learn quickly in completing the tasks.

Abstract

Rendahnya hasil belajar yang diperoleh mahasiswa pada mata kuliah persamaan diferensial biasa menjadi indikasi untuk dilakukan proses penelusuran learning obstacles yang dialami oleh mahasiswa pada pembelajaran persamaan diferensial biasa. Penelitian kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus digunakan untuk menjawab tujuan yang telah ditetapkan. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 14 orang mahasiswa semester 5 Pendidikan Matematika FKIP UIR yang memiliki gaya kognitif field dependent, 3 orang mahasiswa yang memenuhi kriteria yang telah ditentukan diberikan tindakan lanjutan yaitu wawancara mendalam. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan teknik tes angket, dan wawancara. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari lembar GEFT, soal tes hasil belajar, lembar angket learning obstacle, dan lembar wawancara. Analisis data di lakukan melalui tahapan pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hambatan ontogenik dialami oleh mahasiswa yaitu materi yang disajikan terlalu sulit dan cepat, mahasiswa belum menguasai materi prasyarat dengan baik; hambatan didaktik ditemui pada rencana pembelajaran yang belum sempurna dan materi yang digunakan dalam perkuliahan; hambatan epistemologis ditemukan dengan ditandai dengan belum adanya interaksi yang maksimal antara mahasiswa dengan dosen

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengidentifikasi ada atau tidak dampak yang diberikan oleh implementasi metode penemuan terbimbing terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP PGRI Pekanbaru tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Quasi Eksperimen (eksperimen semu) yaitu penelitian yang bertujuan untuk menyelidiki hubungan sebab akibat dengan cara memberikan perlakuan pada salah satu kelas dan membandingkan hasilnya dengan salah satu kelas yang diberikan perlakuan yang berbeda. Desain penelitian adalah Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian yaitu seluruh siswa SMP PGRI Pekanbaru. Sampel dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Kelas VIII B dipilih sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan 20 orang siswa dan kelas VIII A dipilih sebagai kelas kontrol dengan 18 orang siswa. Pengambilan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan tes soal pretest dan posttest. Tes digunakan untuk melihat pengaruh perlakuan yang berbeda terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis statistik inferensial diperoleh dimana = 4,24 >  = 2,03 dan Hal ini berarti  ditolak dan  diterima, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh metode penemuan terbimbing terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP PGRI Pekanbaru.
