Abstract

Apoptosis is one of the anticancer targets. Currently, the concomitant use of phytotherapy products and chemotherapy regimens is common in breast cancer patients. The purpose of this study was to examine the apoptotic effect of adding beetroot extract to the neoadjuvant Adriamycin Cyclophosphamide (AC) regimen by observing the expression levels of p53 and caspase 3 in tumor tissue from mammary adenocarcinoma rats. Twenty-four rats that succeeded in growing tumor nodules were randomly divided into 4 treatment groups: without treatment, AC only treatment, AC plus beetroot extract at dose of 25 and 100 mg/kg BW, respectively. AC was given 4 cycles in doses of 5 and 50 mg/kg body weight intraperitoneally every week. Tumor tissue was dissected at 4th week for examination of p53 and caspase 3 expression levels using the qRT-PCR method. The addition of beetroot extract at doses of 25 and 100 mg/kg BW in the neoadjuvant AC regimen showed significantly higher levels of p53 and caspase 3 expression than those with AC treatment alone. These results proved that beetroot extract has a synergistic effect with neoadjuvant AC regimen by increasing tumor cells apoptosis.Keywords: Beetroot extract, Adriamycin, Cyclophosphamide, apoptosis, p53.

Background: Standard low of suckle on the breast in some countries because decrease of support breastfeeding for mother in around area. The problem often come at 2012, in global giving exclusive breastmilk still under50%. Family support for breastfeeding that know breastmilk good food for baby is better supported for successbreasfeeding. Study preface in Sidoarum Village mention one of factor about giving exclusive breastmilk is a familysupport.Goal: The goal of the research to know about the relation of family support with sucessful giving exclusive breastmilk in Sidoarum Village Godean Sleman 2016Method: This research is quantitative research, design with descriptive correlation, use cross sectional research.The subject of the study is mother who has baby between 6 to 11 month at February 2016. In selecting sample,its research use cluster random sampling with 48 respondents. It is analyzed by chi-square and the instrument isused questionnaireResult: The result from 48 responden family support at offer bresfeeding exclusive there are 26 respondent (54,2%).The mother was success give breastfeeding such as 38 responden (79,2%). There is any relation between familysupport with sucessful giving exclusive breastmilk (p-value=0.000).Conclusion: There is any relation between familly support to sucessful giving exclusive breastmilk in SidoarumVillage Godean Sleman 2016. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh lama simpan yoghurt dengan penambahan sari kurma (Phoniex dactylifera) ajwa dalam suhu refrigerator terhadap kualitas organoleptik, pH dan viskositas. Metode penelitian adalah eksperimen dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), dengan 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Perlakuannya adalah lama simpan yang terdiri dari P0 (Kontrol), P1(5 hari), P2 (10 hari) dan P3 (15 hari). Variabel yang diamati pada penelitian ini yaitu kualitas organoleptik, pH dan viskositas. Data penelitian dianalisis ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) dan dilanjutkan dengan uji BNT (Beda Nyata Terkecil). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lama simpan yoghurt dengan penambahan sari kurma ajwa berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap kualitas organoleptik (aroma dan rasa), nilai pH dan viskositas. Lama simpan yoghurt dengan penambahan sari kurma ajwa berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap kualitas organoleptik (tekstur dan kesukaan). Lama simpan yoghurt dengan penambahan sari kurma ajwa tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap kualitas organoleptik (warna). Rerata nilai organoleptik terhadap aroma pada (L0) 2,50a, (L1) 2,58ab, (L2) 2,60ab, (L3) 2,68b. Rerata nilai organoleptik terhadap rasa pada (L0) 2,56a, (L1) 2,56a, (L2) 3,00b, (L3) 3,06b. Rerata nilai organoleptik terhadap tekstur pada (L0) 2,00a, (L1) 2,46b, (L2) 2,42b, (L3) 2,58b. Rerata nilai organoleptik terhadap warna pada (L0) 2,00, (L1) 2,12, (L2) 2,14, (L3) 2,16. Rerata nilai organoleptik terhadap tingkat kesukaan pada (L0) 2,80b, (L1) 2,70b, (L2) 2,48b, (L3) 2,02a. Rerata nilai pH yoghurt (L0) 4,15a, (L1) 4,17ab, (L2) 4,21ab, (L3) 4,24b. Rerata nilai viskositas (mpa.s) yoghurt (L0) 1191,2a, (L1) 1225,4ab, (L2) 1273,4b, (L3) 1301,6b. Kesimpulannya adalah lama simpan optimal yoghurt dengan penambahan sari kurma ajwa 20% dapat disimpan selama 10 hari dalam refrigerator bersuhu 9°C memiliki kualitas organoleptik, pH dan viskositas terbaik.

Abstract

Studi penulis dijalankan tanggal 8 Juli sampai 28 Juli 2025 dalam Laboratorium Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Islam Malang. Studi berikut tujuannya menganalisiskn pengaruhny penggunan larutan kayu secang (Caesalpinia sappan L) pada kandungan air albumen telur asin serta kualitas organoleptiknya, melingkupi taraf kesukaan, rasa, tekstur, aroma, juga warna. Materi penelitian berupa 24 butir telur itik Mojosari segar umur 1 hari. Bahan yang diterapkan yakni garam grasak, air, dan kayu secang. Peralatan yang digunakan meliputi oven, cawan porselen, desikator, timbangan analitik, pinset, spatula, baskom plastik, kompor, panci, toples, amplas/sabut kelapa, lap kain, ember, serta form uji organoleptik. Metode penelitiannya dengan bereksperimen mengintegrasi Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) disertai 3 perlakuan dan 8 pengulangan, maksudnya P0 = tidak disertai larutan kayu secang (kontrol), P1 = larutan kayu secang 5%, dan P2 = larutan kayu secang 10%. Variabel yang diamati adalah kadar air albumen dengan metode gravimetri, beserta pengujian organoleptik berskala hedonik 4 poin oleh 10 panelis. Data dianalisiskan melalui sidik ragam (ANOVA), jika ada disparitas nyata berlanjut dengan pengujian Beda Nyata Terkecil (BNT). Perolehan studi membuktikan penggunaan larutan kayu secang pengaruhnya nyata (P<0,05) pada kadar air albumen. Selain itu, larutan kayu secang juga memberikan pengaruh sangat nyata terhadap warna dan aroma (P<0,01), serta pengaruhnya nyata pada tekstur sekaligus rasa (P<0,05), akan tetapi tiada pengaruhnya secara nyata pada tingkat kesukaan panelis (P>0,05). Rataan kadar air albumen yaitu P0 = 82,44% a, P2 = 83,73% ab, dan P1 = 84,66% a. Pada uji organoleptik, warna dan aroma menunjukkan pengaruh sangat nyata, dengan rataan warna P2 = 3,00 a, P1 = 3,20 a, P0 = 4,00 b dan rataan aroma P0 = 2,60 a, P1 = 3,00 b, P2 = 3,00 b. Sementara itu, tekstur dan rasa berpengaruh nyata, dengan rataan tekstur P0 = 2,90 a, P2 = 3,00 ab, P1 = 3,30 a dan rataan rasa P1 = 3,20 a, P0 = 2,60 a, P2 = 3,30 b. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, penggunaan larutan kayu secang dengan konsentrasi 10% pada proses pembuatan telur asin menghasilkan kualitas terbaik. Pada konsentrasi tersebut, diperoleh kadar air albumen yang optimal serta mutu organoleptik yang paling baik dibanding atas perlakuan lain. Kata Kunci : Kayu secang, Telur Asin, Kadar Air, Organoleptik, dan Albumen THE EFFECT OF THE USE OF SECANG WOOD SOLUTION ON THE WATER CONTENT OF SALTED EGG ALBUMEN AND ORGANOLEPTIC TESTINGABSTRACTThis research was conducted from July 8 to July 28, 2025, at the Laboratory of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Islamic University of Malang. The purpose of this research was to analyze the effect of using sappan wood solution (Caesalpinia sappan L) on the water content of salted egg albumen and its organoleptic quality, including color, aroma, texture, taste, and level of preference. The research materials were 24 fresh 1-day-old Mojosari duck eggs. The materials used were grasak salt, water, and sappan wood. The equipment used included an oven, porcelain cup, desiccator, analytical balance, tweezers, spatula, plastic basin, stove, pan, jar, sandpaper/coconut fiber, cloth, bucket, and organoleptic test form. This research method is an experiment using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 8 replications, namely P0 = without sappanwood solution (control), P1 = 5% sappanwood solution, and P2 = 10% sappanwood solution. The variables observed were air albumen levels using the gravimetric method, as well as organoleptic tests using a 4-point hedonic scale by 10 panelists. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA), and if there were significant differences, continued with the Least Significant Difference (LSD) test. The results showed that the use of sappanwood solution had a significant effect (P<0.05) on the albumen water content. In addition, the sappanwood solution also had a very significant effect on color and aroma (P<0.01), and a significant effect on texture and taste (P<0.05), but did not significantly affect the panelists' preference level (P>0.05). The average albumen water content was P0 = 82.44% a, P2 = 83.73% ab, and P1 = 84.66% a. In the organoleptic test, color and aroma showed a very significant effect, with the average color P2 = 3.00 a, P1 = 3.20 a, P0 = 4.00 b and the average aroma P0 = 2.60 a, P1 = 3.00 b, P2 = 3.00 b. Meanwhile, texture and taste had a significant effect, with the average texture P0 = 2.90 a, P2 = 3.00 ab, P1 = 3.30 a and the average taste P1 = 3.20 a, P0 = 2.60 a, P2 = 3.30 b. Based on research results, the use of a 10% sappanwood solution in the salted egg production process yielded the best quality. This concentration resulted in optimal albumen moisture content and superior organoleptic properties compared to other treatments.Keywords: Red Sandalwood, Salted Eggs, Water Content, Organoleptic, and Albumen.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to examine the relationship between sexual behavior and semen production in Bali and Madura bulls. 4 Bali bulls and 4 Madura bulls were used in this observational study. Sexual behavior observation included the duration of libido, duration of ejaculation, and false mounting. Semen production variables observed were total sperm and total motile sperm. All of these observations were replicated 10 times. Results showed that there was a significant correlation (p<0.05) between duration of ejaculation and total sperm in Bali bulls with the regression equation of Y = 8874-302x and R2 = 0.12 (r = -0.34). Bali bulls also had a significant correlation (p<0.05) between duration of ejaculation and total motile sperm with the regression equation of Y = 6218-215.1x and R2 = 0.11 (r = -0.34). Madura bulls had a significant correlation (p<0.05) between duration of ejaculation and total motile sperm per ejaculate with the regression equation of Y = 1812+268x and R2 = 0.11 (r = 0.34). In conclusion, Bali bulls had undesirable correlated response for the duration of ejaculation toward total sperm and total motile sperm. While Madura bulls had desirable correlated response for the duration of ejaculation toward total motile sperm.
