Abstract

Exploratory laparotomy surgery is a procedure that is often found in patients with adhesive obstruction ileus. In the intraoperative phase, exploratory laparotomy takes a long time and exposure to cold environments and anesthetic drugs often causes hypothermia which has an impact on serious complications. The purpose of this study was to analyze intraoperative hypothermia management interventions in patients undergoing exploratory laparotomy surgery with adhesiolysis and jejunal diverticulectomy. The study design used a case study with a nursing care approach. The research sample was Mr. S with a diagnosis of adhesive obstruction ileus taken using the convenience sampling technique. Data collection was carried out by observation during surgery and documentation studies with a perioperative nursing care format. Hypothermia management was carried out by providing warm irrigation interventions of the gastrointestinal organs with 0.9% NaCl fluid at a temperature of 380C and laparotomy gauze when starting exploration for 4 hours according to the duration of surgery. The results of the study showed significant clinical improvements in body temperature, skin, blood pressure, pulse and gastrointestinal motility. The irrigation method with warm NaCl 0.9% during exploratory laparotomy is very effective in overcoming intraoperative hypothermia and facilitating the adhesiolysis process in the gastrointestinal organs.

Abstract

Contohnya, AI mendukung analisis prediktif untuk mengidentifikasi pola sosial, sementara IoT memungkinkan pengumpulan data real-time guna pengelolaan sumber daya.

Abstract

Corruption and money laundering are global issues with significant economic impacts, particularly in Asia and Europe. This comparative study explores the relationship between national culture, public governance, and money laundering potential, focusing on cultural differences between the East and West. Utilizing a quantitative approach, the study analyzes secondary data from the 2023 Basel Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Index, covering 49 Asian and 47 European countries. Structural Equation Modelling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) is employed for analysis. The findings reveal that cultural dynamics significantly and positively influence public governance. However, public governance and cultural dynamics do not directly affect the potential for money laundering. Mediation tests indicate that public governance mediates the relationship between cultural dynamics and money laundering potential. A Multigroup Analysis (MGA) test highlights significant regional differences, particularly in the influence of public governance on money laundering potential. The study underscores the need for multifaceted strategies to combat money laundering globally, emphasizing international collaboration, public education, governance enhancement, and technological advancement. Recommendations for the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) include strengthening cross-country cooperation and improving public governance frameworks to mitigate global money laundering risks effectively.

Abstract

Purpose − Analyze the psychology of patients related to halal healthcare tools that impact their loyalty intentions to Sharia hospitals in Indonesia for health visits and the implications of word of mouth on the community.Methodology − The research employed quantitative techniques by utilizing cross-sectional survey information gathered from Sharia hospital patients in Indonesia, selected through convenience sampling methods. The study analyzed a total of 229 patient responses through the application of structural equation modeling.Findings − Sharia facilities, doctor-nurse services, medical expertise and administrative conduct as indicators of halal health services affect patient satisfaction in sharia hospitals. However, there is resistance to the influence of the medical facility atmosphere on satisfaction caused by the concentration of patients in medical services and solving health problems. Patient satisfaction affects loyalty which in turn gives a positive word of mouth effect.Implications − Islamic hospitals should prioritize patient assessment and satisfaction by reviewing their physical facilities, cleanliness, comfort, and spiritual needs. Medical personnel should enhance communication and sharia-compliant practices. Digitalization and improved service standards are essential, requiring adaptability and technology integration. Regular evaluations and external monitoring are vital. The government should collaborate with relevant ministries and organizations to intensively monitor and improve the quality of sharia hospitals. Originality − This study develops new knowledge on indicators of special services for sharia hospitals according to halal standards by integrating the outputs of satisfaction, loyalty and Word of Mouth (WoM) outputs which have been separated so far but have a chronological sequence in line with existing marketing theory.

Abstract

Food waste is a critical concern under SDGs 12 due to its global welfare implications. Islam, with its substantial following worldwide, can play a role in addressing this issue, particularly through the involvement of Muslim millennials. This study aims to explore the impact of religiosity, product usage efficiency, and intention to reduce food waste, with da’wah, Instagram, and Muslim eating manners as mediators. Quantitative research was conducted through an online survey of Indonesian millennials using purposive sampling. The research model, consisting of five hypotheses, was analyzed using the PLS-SEM analysis method. Results indicate that individual religiosity significantly influences Instagram proselytizing and eating behavior among Muslim millennials. Instagram proselytizing strongly affects millennial Muslim consumer behavior, particularly in terms of food consumption efficiency. Additionally, Muslim millennials’ eating etiquette impacts food consumption efficiency and environmental awareness. The efficiency of food consumption can shape millennials’ intention to reduce food waste. Implications of this study include promoting millennial involvement in food waste reduction, sustainable agricultural practices, improving literacy on food consumption efficiency, incorporating food waste education in Islamic religious curricula, and fostering collaboration among Muslim millennial organizations in Indonesia’s food waste reduction programs.
