Abstract

Education plays a significant role in humans in living their lives. Every individual needs and has the right to undergo education. Education in Indonesia is carried out in stages starting from primary, secondary and tertiary levels. Basic education is held at the elementary school level. Considering that basic education has a significant position, the role of teachers who have good basic teaching skills is necessary. Therefore, researchers are interested in conducting research on the application of teachers' basic teaching skills in Civics subjects in class VI at SDN Genengsari 03. The research uses qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach. Data collection instruments consist of observation, interview, questionnaires and documentation. The research results showed that the application of teachers' basic teaching skills had been carried out well. In the first and second observations the teacher had implemented 29 of the 32 components or a percentage of 90.62%. In the third observation, the teacher implemented 31 components with a percentage of 96.87%.. Furthermore, in the interview instrument, the teacher answered the majority of questions well. One question about verbal reinforcement was not answered optimally by the teacher. In the questionnaire instrument, teachers have obtained an average percentage of skills implementation of more than 50% of each component. The obstacles experienced by teachers during implementation are the components of non-verbal reinforcement, variation, and problem expansion. The theoretical implication of this research is that teachers know the extent of their mastery of basic teaching skills. Meanwhile, the practical implication is that teachers can use the research instrument data to find out the extent to which basic teaching skills are implemented in class VI at SDN Genengsari 03.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the critical thinking ability of students in terms of cognitive style on the material of division operations of fractions of grade V students of SD Negeri Sondakan. This research is qualitative research with a case study method. The source of data in this study came from fifth grade students of SD Negeri Sondakan. The sampling technique was done by purposive sampling by taking 3 subjects from each type of cognitive style. Data collection techniques used include observation, interviews, and documentation studies. Data validity techniques using triangulation techniques and time triangulation. Data analysis techniques used in this study using the analysis model according to Creswell. The results of this study indicate that students who have FI cognitive style can fulfil most of the indicators of critical thinking ability although there are students who do not meet the indicators of inference. Students who have FD cognitive style can only fulfil one indicator and some do not fulfil all indicators of critical thinking ability. Students who have FI cognitive style have better critical thinking ability than students who have FD cognitive style. This research implies that it can add insight into efforts to improve critical thinking skills in terms of cognitive style and become a guide for teachers in implementing learning by the cognitive style of students. Keywords: critical thinking ability, cognitive style, field independent, field dependent, and elementary school

Primary data from this study were the results of interviews with class I and IV subject teachers and students. While secondary data is in the form of research photo documentation, project implementation photo documentation, and project modules. Data collection techniques used are interviews and documentation. Test the validity of the data using technique and source triangulation. The data analysis technique used is the Miles and Huberman technique. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the Pancasila student profile strengthening project (P5) is to the guidelines. However, several components have not been implemented / attitude of learners. Barriers to students are mood swings, disruptive behavior in class, making dummy pancakes, and lack of self-motivation in learning. The solution to teacher barriers is to cooperate with IOM and teacher fees, carry out extra supervision, form team groups, and maintain emotional self-esteem. The student's solution is to ask for help from the project teacher and accompanying parents and to distribute tasks evenly within the group.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of online learning on civic education subjects for Class V Elementary School 1 Semali. The subjects of this study were class teachers and students of class V Elementary School 1 Semali, totaling 25 children. There are 3 discussions to determine the effectiveness of online learning, namely the implementation of online learning, the activeness of students when participating in online learning, and student learning outcomes. Data collection techniques in this study included interviews, observation, and document analysis. The data of this study indicate that the implementation of online learning in class V of the State Elementary School 1 Semali is going well, but the students are not active during learning. This results in the teacher's assessment being less than optimal so that student scores tend to decrease during online learning. Based on the data, it can be concluded that the effectiveness of online learning in the subject of Citizenship Education Class V Elementary School 1 Semali for the academic year 2021/2022 is less effective because of the 3 indicators only 1 aspect is in the good category while the other 2 aspects in the poor category and tends to decrease.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the pattern of implementing Social Emotional Learning (SEL) in mathematics learning for fifth grade students at SD Djama'atul Ichwan Surakarta. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The subjects of this research were class teachers and 28 students. This research uses observation, interviews, questionnaires and document study techniques. Testing the validity of the data uses triangulation of time and techniques. The data analysis model uses the Creswell model. Results showed teachers utilized supportive classroom environment approaches, integration of SEL and Academic Instruction, and explicit SEL Instruction. The teacher carries out several activities that have become routine, thus forming a clear pattern. The approach used can shape students' SEL competencies, including self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision making. The use of the SEL approach in mathematics learning indirectly influences mathematics learning outcomes. Therefore, it is important for teachers to integrate SEL into mathematics learning. The implication of this research is that it can increase scientific insight regarding the application of SEL to both teachers and students. The recommendation from researchers is that SEL can be further optimized in its implementation in a massive and structured manner.Kata kunci: social emotional learning, approach, competencies, mathematics, academic achievement, and elementary school
