Abstract

Coffee is a type of plant that contains caffeine and can be processed into a delicious drink. In the process of making coffee usually used artificial sweeteners and natural sweeteners. People prefer artificial (synthetic) sweeteners because they are relatively cheap and easy to obtain. The artificial sweetener that is often used by traders is cyclamate. Cyclamate is highly soluble in water and has a sweetness level of 30 times that of sugar. According to research conducted by Indoforum, 2008 in Sebayang, et.al. 2015, Artificial sweeteners (cyclamate) can have negative effects on human health. This study aims at Cyclamate Analysis of Various Brands of Coffee Sachets Sold at Pasar Keputih Surabaya. This type of research is descriptive with a total sample of 30 samples, with qualitative analysis. Using the deposition reaction test method, namely if there is a white precipitate of BaSO4, it means that the sample contains cyclamate / the sample is positive. The results of the cyclamate analysis study on 30 samples of sachet packaged coffee drinks taken from the Surabaya keputih market were not detected or did not contain cyclamate, this was because no white precipitate of BaSO4 was formed when analyzed with the BaCl2 reaction. It can be concluded that the 30 samples of coffee drinks that were The cyclamate has been examined and does not contain artificial sweeteners (cyclamate).

DHF is an acute infection caused by the dengue virus and transmitted by Aedes aegypti mosquitoes. In 2024, the prevalence of DHF in East Java reached 32,156 cases, with 231 cases reported in Surabaya. A major issue frequently encountered is the low level of family knowledge regarding prevention, early detection, and initial management of DHF, causing cases that could have been prevented or treated promptly to progress into more severe conditions. This community service activity aimed to improve family knowledge through educational interventions using a family-centered care approach. The activity was conducted over a two-week period from May 19 to June 1, 2025, involving 139 families in RW 04, Dukuh Sutorejo Subdistrict. Education and assistance were provided not only to individuals but also involved all family members through lectures and discussion methods, enabling collective improvement in knowledge related to DHF prevention and management. Questionnaire results showed that prior to the intervention, the majority of respondents had a moderate level of knowledge (59.7%), which increased to a good level of knowledge (74.8%) after the intervention. Following this community service activity, families are expected to have improved abilities to prevent, recognize, and appropriately manage DHF, thereby reducing the risk of complications. Keywords: Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF); education; family-centered care

Abstract

Islam indeed requires wives to be obedient to their husbands. However, is this obedience absolute, such that all decisions and commands of the husband must be followed by the wife, including in choosing a presidential candidate? Meanwhile, the state guarantees the right to vote and be elected for all citizens, and any form of restriction constitutes a violation of human rights. This study can provide both theoretical and practical benefits, especially in the context of conflict management and preventing domestic violence arising from differences in political views. This is a qualitative study employing a descriptive analysis approach in the context of a case study. The research predominantly uses secondary data sources obtained from published scholarly works relevant to this study. Data analysis was conducted by gathering information from various secondary literature sources such as journals, articles, and other academic works related to the topic discussed. The data was then analyzed by compiling an initial description from the collected data, followed by further analysis to answer the research questions. The findings of this study conclude that the obligation of a wife’s obedience to her husband is not absolute. Similarly, in determining a presidential candidate, the wife may vote according to her conscience. A wife will not be classified as disobedient or rebellious to her husband solely because of differing political preferences. If household conflicts arise due to differences in presidential candidate preferences, solutions include open communication, setting privacy boundaries regarding politics, not easily believing hoaxes, and reminding each other that household harmony is more important than politics.
