Abstract

Poorly managed organic waste often accumulates, becoming a significant source of pollution. A major challenge is the low utilization rate of waste management facilities. This ongoing issue of organic waste has negative impacts on both public health and quality of life. This initiative aimed to enhance community awareness of waste management and provide guidance on creating composter tools as a solution for organic waste management. The methods employed included waste management sensitization focusing on waste segregation, alongside training on composter construction and usage. Evaluation results indicate that 93% of participants understood the importance of waste segregation, and 93% were able to construct a simple composter after the activity. This program can serve as a sustainable model for waste management, particularly organic waste, at the hamlet level.

Abstract

Based on general provisions, mothers are more entitled to have hadhanah rights for children who are not yet mumayyiz. However, in Supreme Court Decision Number 406K/AG/2016, the judge decided to transfer the hadhanah rights for children who have not yet mumayyiz from the mother's side to the father's side. This makes the Supreme Court's decision a Contra Legem decision which is not based on formal legal normative rules. So the aim of this research is (1) to analyze the considerations of the panel of judges in the Supreme Court decision number 406K/AG/2016 (2) to a nalyze the decision from the perspective of maslahah murlah. The research method used is normative juridical, namely legal research by reviewing library materials or secondary data. The results of this research: (1) The judge's considerations in deciding the case are based on the welfare and best interests of the child. (2) Even though the Supreme Court Decision Number 406K/AG/2016 is contra legem, the decision aims to eliminate harm and create benefits, from a fiqh perspective this does not conflict with the rules of Maqashid syari’ah . Abstract

Abstract

Background Injuries frequently occur within school environments, ranking as the second most common location for injury incidents due to unsafe conditions and limited first aid preparedness. Children aged 5–14 years exhibit a high prevalence of injuries, reaching 13% in school-related incidents. Teachers, as front-line responders, must possess adequate first aid knowledge and skills to manage common injuries—such as falls, bruises, nosebleeds, fainting, and seizures—before professional medical care is available. Objective This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of a first aid training program in improving teachers’ skills in managing school-related injuries. Methods A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design (pretest–posttest without a control group) was conducted among 49 teachers at Al Islam 3 Gebang Elementary School, Surakarta. Total sampling was used. Skill levels were assessed before and after the training using standardized evaluation tools. Results The Wilcoxon signed-rank test showed a statistically significant improvement in teachers’ first aid skills after the training intervention (p = 0.01; p < 0.05). Conclusion First aid training significantly enhanced teachers’ skills in managing injuries among school children. Continued collaboration between schools and health professionals is recommended to maintain and further develop these essential competencies.

Methods: This study used the pre and post-test method without control group design. The measuring instrument for this study used SOP green color breathing therapy and evaluated blood pressure with a sphygmomanometer. The research sample used a total sampling of 31 respondents. Bivariate data analysis using the Wilcoxon test. Results: Based on statistical tests with analysis of the Wilcoxon Test (p=0.001). This shows that the p value <0.05, there is a significant effect of green color breathing therapy on the blood pressure of patients at risk of hypertensive crisis. Conclusion: Green color breathing therapy can reduce blood pressure in patients at risk of hypertensive crisis.

Abstract

Mental health frequently receives inadequate attention and is often disregarded by individuals who tend to prioritize physical health over mental well-being. The occurrence of mental disorders in adolescents (aged 15-24 years) is associated with a depression rate of 6.2%. Severe depression tends to lead to self-harm and suicide. Approximately 80-90% of suicide cases can be attributed to depression and anxiety. A comprehensive understanding of adolescent mental health is essential for determining appropriate actions to make adolescents aware that mental health is equally essential. Preventing mental health issues in adolescents is crucial for avoiding further mental disorders or psychological problems. Prevention can be effectively achieved through health education for adolescents, enabling them to comprehend the significance of their mental health. E-modules provide an ideal medium for reaching adolescents, as they adapt conventional modules by incorporating information technology, making them more engaging and interactive. This enhances their appeal as an engaging and interactive learning resource. Digital modules (e-modules) enriched with audiovisual technology are expected to apprehend students' interests and create a conducive learning environment. The research objective was to investigate the effect of E-modules on adolescents' understanding of mental health. The study adopted a quantitative approach, using a quasi-experimental research design with a pre-posttest without control, conducted through intervention with a single group. The study was conducted at SMP 8 Surakarta and data were collected before and after the intervention. Data analysis employed the Wilcoxon test was used to obtain a significant result with a p-value of 0.01 (p < 0.05). Based on these findings, E-modules affected adolescents' mental health acquaintances.
