Abstract

Timbal (Pb) bersifat toksik, karsinogenik, bioakumulator dan biomagnifikasi. Bioakumulasi Pb dapat terjadi pada kuku, hati dan rambut. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendeteksi apakah telah terjadi pencemaran timbal pada penduduk di kecamatan Semarang Utara dengan menggunakan rambut sebagai bioindikator. Penelitian deskriptif eksploratif ini menggunakan populasi seluruh penduduk di kecamatan Semarang Utara. Sampel diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling yaitu penduduk laki-laki berumur antara 17 sampai dengan 50 tahun yang tinggal di kelurahan Tanjung Mas dan Bandarharjo Semarang Utara, minimal selama 5 tahun terakhir terus menerus. Kadar timbal pada tubuh dideteksi dari kadar timbal yang terakumulasi pada rambut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat kandungan timbal pada rambut 56 sampel. Kadar timbal tertinggi sebesar 17,028 ppm dan rata-rata 8,304 ppm. Penyebabnya diduga bukan berasal dari emisis kendaraan bermotor di jalan raya mengingat profesi sampel sebagian besar adalah nelayan, tetapi kemungkinan berasal dari air minum yang mereka konsumsi. Sampel air minum yang dikonsumsi terdeteksi mengandung timbal rata-rata 6 ppm. Simpulan dari penelitian ini telah terjadi pencemaran timbal pada sebagian penduduk Semarang Utara dengan tingkat ringan sampai sedang. Pencemaran diduga berasal dari air minum yang dikonsumsi.Lead (Pb) are toxic, carcinogenic, bioaccumulator and biomagnification. Pb bioaccumulation may occur in the nail, liver and hair. The research aimed to detect whether lead pollution has affected the people in North Semarang, using hair as bioindicator. The population of this explorative descriptive research was all residents of Sub-District of North Semarang. Samples were taken using purposive sampling technique, i.e. male residents of Tanjung Mas and Bandarharjo aged between 17 and 50 years, who have stayed in the sites for at least 5 years without interruption. The lead level in their body was detected from their hair strand using AAS (Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometery). Research showed that lead substance was detected in hair strands from 56 people. The highest level was 17.028 ppm and the average level was 8,304 ppm. It was suggested that the lead pollutant was not from motor vehicles emisions on the roads cause most samples were fishermen, instead it was suspected that the drinking water was the source of the lead. It was supported by the fact that the drinking water consumed daily by the residents has been contaminated by lead at the level of 6 ppm. Conclusion the lead pollution has affected some residents of North Semarang, ranging from low level to medium level. Presumably, the pollution was originated from the consumed drinking water.

Abstract

As an organ that absorbs food, the intestine can be damaged when interacting directly with lead (Pb). Gamma Co-60 irradiated chitosan, and vitamin E combination potentially can help reduce free radical damage to intestinal organs. This study examines the efficacy of gamma Co-60 irradiated chitosan and vitamin E combination in protecting the intestinal tissue of rats exposed to Pb acetate. The 24 rats were grouped into 6 groups, each 4 rats; were induced with Pb acetate, except the control group. The negative control group was only induced Pb acetate. The positive control group had additional treatment of irradiated chitosan. The treatment group (1-3) was treated using the combination of gamma Co-60 irradiated chitosan at a dose of 64 mg/kg BW and vitamin E 1000 IU at a dose of 1.44; 2.16, 3.00 mg/kg BW, respectively, for forty days. The research parameters observed are edema, degeneration, necrosis, erosion of the intestinal villi, and lysis of the intestinal villi. Intestinal histology appearance data in all groups were analyzed descriptively. The result shows that a combination of Gamma Co-60 irradiated chitosan at a dose of 64 mg/kg BW and vitamin E at a dose of 1.44 mg/kg BW effectively reduced lead cytotoxicity in the intestinal tissue of Pb acetate-induced rats. The larger the dose of vitamin E has the potential to produce pro-oxidants, which will increase the toxic effect on intestinal tissue. Gamma Co-60 irradiated chitosan, and vitamin E combination at the right dose has the potential to be developed as a supplement to reduce the toxic effects of chronic lead exposure. Especially for people who, for some reason, cannot avoid chronic lead exposure.

Abstract

The activities of tomato juice’s antioxidant for the prevention of lung tissues damage in mice cigarette smoke induces endogen antioxidant is no longer effective on oxidative stress control towards cigarette consumer lung, thus exogenous antioxidant is a must. A kind of exogenous antioxidant is lycopen, a content of tomato. 40 mice is divided into 5 groups with 8 of each. Group I is the controlling group, group II is the negative control, and group III, IV, V are the group of mice that is supplied by tomato juice on the 1,7 g/100 g weight/day ; 3,4 g/100 g weight/day; and 5,1 g/100 g weight/day dozes. Each group, except the control one, is forced by cigarette smoke for 15 minutes per day in 54 days. On the 55th day, all mice is sacrificed. Specimens of their lungs are made in the way of histological by haematoxylin – eosin method. The data is about the comparison of lung tissue failed on each group, that is analyzed by Anava. The observation of each tissue on the group II showed emfisema pattern, that is alveolus membrane epithelia cell with no nucleus nor endothelium, with wide alveolus lumen and loose alveolus junction. The identical situation also found on group III. The failed tissue cannot be found on group IV and V. Antioxidant of tomato is capable of controlling lung tissue failed of mice of cigarette smoke. Abstract

Increasing accumulation of lead in body causes serious health problems. Chelation is widely used to decrease lead level in body. This research aims the effectivity of chitosan in chelating lead and their protective ability toward liver and kidney for lead acetate-induced rat. Thirty rats were divided into 6 treatment groups. All groups, except control group, were administered by 175 mgkg-1 BW lead acetate. Positive control group was treated using EDTA 50 mgkg-1 BW. Treatment group 1,2, and 3 were treated using chitosan in dose of 64, 32, and 16 mgkg-1 BW dissolved in 2% acetic acid, respectively in 30 days. The effectivity of chitosan was compared to blood lead level. ALT and AST level were measured to determine the protective ability of chitosan. Normal function of kidney was assessed using creatinine level. Results showed that blood lead level from all treatment groups, except negative control group, had no significant difference from control group. EDTA and chitosan ability in chelating lead were proven by low level of AST, ALT, and creatinine in treatment groups. This indicated that there was no significant difference from control group. Chitosan capable of chelating lead and protecting kidney and liver from heavy metal.

Abstract

One of the management of diabetics is to maintain stable glucose levels. Often diabetes treatment combines chemical drugs with medicinal plants. People have consumed a lot of Moringa leaves which are believed to be able to maintain body condition. One of the benefits of Moringa leaves with phytochemical components in it is as a hepatoprotector. The aim of this study was to analyze the role of Moringa leaf extract on liver function parameters of hyperglycemic rats. There were 4 groups, normal control (K0), hyperglycemic rats with induction of alloxan 125 mg/kg bw and divided into three groups treated with moringa leaf extract at a dose of 0 mg (K1), 200 mg (T1) and 400 mg/kg bw (T2 ) for 21 days. The variables measured were aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and alanine aminotransferase (ALT) levels, total cholesterol. Data were analyzed with Anova P0.05 and Least Significance Different (LSD) follow-up test. The results showed that the levels of AST and ALT were highest in the K1 group which then decreased significantly in the group that received Moringa extract (T1 and T2). Statistically there was a significant difference (p0.05) between the control and treatment groups. Cholesterol levels in the control group were significantly lower than the diabetes and treatment groups, but there was no significant difference between the treatment groups. The conclusion is that Moringa leaf extract has an effect on reducing liver enzyme levels and cholesterol in hyperglycemic rats. This research adds to the study of the hepatoprotective potential of Moringa leaf extract in hyperglycemic rats.

Abstract

The problem of free sex among adolescents is increasing from year to year, this is because teenagers do not understand and care less about the health of the reproductive organs. The research aims to increase understanding and caring attitude towards the health of the reproductive organs. The development of the sex education model is carried out using the ADDIE development model through 5 stages, namely Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Teaching materials use the Flipbuilder application, the use of the application is expected to make it easier for students to learn. This research also developed other learning tools in the form of lesson plans, syllabi, and other learning assessments. the results of device development obtained reproductive system teaching materials that are valid and suitable for use. The results of the questionnaire from material experts reached 89% (very high), while the validation of teaching materials experts reached 90.48% (very high). At the implementation stage, the effectiveness of the sex education model with teaching materials using the flip-builder application was obtained based on an understanding of 87 (very good). The attitude of students towards caring for the health of the reproductive organs is 65% (good). Students' responses during the biology learning process in class using the sex education model and flip-builder application teaching materials said the students were good to be implemented in class

Abstract

Metakognisi merupakan keterampilan berfikir yang penting untuk pengembangan profesionalisme calon guru dan guru pada era 5.0. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui berbagai jenis asesmen metakognisi melalui systematic review. Metode penelitian menggunakan proses seleksi mengikuti panduan Preferred Reporting of Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta Analyses (PRISMA) dengan menggunakan scientific databases atau search engine. Berbagai penggunaan instrumen penilaian metakognitif seperti menggunakan Metacognitive Awareness Inventory (MAI), Metacognitive Awareness Inventory for Teachers (MAIT), Metacognition Learning Inventory-Science (SEMLI-S), dan Metacognitive Problem Solving Skill. Instrumen penilaian lain menggunakan interview dan tes. Sampel penelitian dalam jumlah banyak biasanya untuk mengukur kesadaran metakognitif, sementara itu sampel paling sedikit untuk melakukan wawancara tentang metakognitif. Keterampilan metakognisi tersebut diperlukan oleh guru dan siswa untuk pembelajaran yang lebih mudah, efektif dan efisien dengan menguatkan kegiatan reflektif, pengaturan diri, pengaturan kognisi, dan strategi yang tepat. Guru yang memiliki kesadaran metakognitif dan kemampuan metakognitif akan menguntungkan dalam pembelajaran. Siswa belajar dengan menggunakan strategi metakognitif efektif untuk pencapaian akademik dan membuat pilihan terbaik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesadaran peserta didik terhadap krisis energi. Sumber data penelitian dilakukan melalui studi literatur.Pencarian artikel untuk mengumpulkan data memiliki beberapa tahapan. Tahapan tersebut diantaranya identifikasi, penyortiran 1, penyortiran 2, dan bagian yang masuk. Jumlah artikel 48 yang membahas kesadaran peserta didik terhadap krisis energi. Analisis difokuskan pada kesadaran peserta didik terhadap krisis energi dan tantangan pembelajarannya pada abad 21 dari berbagai artikel-artikel yang sudah terpublikasi secara nasional dan internasional. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, publish artikel dengan tema kesadaran peserta didik terhadap krisis energi terbanyak pada tahun 2020 total 12 artikel dengan persentase 25%. Sementara tahun yang paling sedikit pada tahun 2021 sebanyak 1 artikel dengan persentase 2.1%. Lima negara yang berkontribusi dalam kesadaran krisis energi di antaranya United States, Malaysia, Greece, Taiwan, dan Eropa. Pembelajaran abad 21 membawa bangsa Indonesia setara dengan bangsa lain dalam dunia global.Karakteristik abad 21 untuk mencapainya adalah sebagai berikut knowledge-based society, ICT and media literacy skills, critical thinking skills, problem-solving skills, effective communication skills, dan collaborative skills. Tantangan pembelajaran abad 21 antara lain pendidik harus menguasai ICT, mendesain model pembelajaran aktif, dan pengajar harus mampu menyesuaikan dengan lingkungan.

Abstract

Pendidikan kebencanaan di negara yang rawan bencana seperti Indonesia merupakan suatu keharusan. Pendidikan kebencanaan salah satunya dapat dilakukan di sekolah melalui integrasi dengan pembelajaran IPA. Penelitian naratif reviu ini akan menganalisis secara mendalam literatur terkait integrasi pembelajaran IPA dengan pendidikan kebencanaan. Sebanyak 25 artikel jurnal dan prosiding internasional bereputasi maupun nasional terindeks akan dianalisis guna mengetahui tentang urgensi dan tantangan yang dihadapi dalam pendidikan kebencanaan melalui integrasi dengan pembelajaran IPA. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan kebencanaan dapat dilakukan melalui pembelajaran IPA. Hal tersebut sangat urgent untuk dilakukan diantaranya karena kejadian bencana di Indonesia terus mengalami perubahan, seiring perubahan iklim; karena literasi kebencanaan siswa yang rendah; serta belum meratanya pendidikan kebencanaan. Integrasi tersebut pada akhirnya menjadi pilihan yang paling efektif. Meskipun begitu, dalam pengimplementasiannya ditemukan tantangan selama proses pelaksanaan pendidikan kebencanaan yang terintegrasi pendidikan IPA yaitu terkait aspek regulasi dan mandat, kemampuan guru, panduan dan bahan ajar, kemampuan inovasi dan kerja sama, pendanaan, serta partisipasi siswa.

Abstract

Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) is now recognized for teacher development and preparation programs. The purpose of the study was to evaluate the TPACK competence in microteaching of preservice teachers. The research approach uses qualitative research using the curriculum evaluation design of Stake Countenance Model with data collection including lesson plans, teaching practice activities, performance assessment, and in-depth semi structured interviews. The results of the microteaching evaluation program using an analysis of the ability to integrate pedagogy, content, and technology within the TPACK competency framework. In general, preservice teachers still use technology less, because the lesson plans design dont use learning technology. So for the development of TPACK competencies, preservice teachers provide opportunities for preservice teachers to apply technology in biology learning and use various learning strategies.
