Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan matematis tiga siswa kelas 8 MTs Islamiyah pada materi Systematic Listing and Counting dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dan teknik pengambilan data observasi. Penelitian dilakukan dengan mengujikan soal-soal matematis yang memiliki level mudah, sedang, dan susah. Dari analisis yang dilakukan oleh peneliti, didapat ketiga siswa mampu mengerjakan semua soal dengan tepat. Namun, hanya dua dari tiga soal yang dapat dikerjakan secara mandiri, yaitu soal mudah dan soal sedang. Sedangkan, sisanya, yaitu soal sulit, diperlukan arahan oleh peneliti dalam pengerjaannya. Hal ini disebabkan oleh minimnya informasi yang diberikan pada soal sulit. Hal tersebut membuat siswa kesulitan dalam memecahkan permasalahan soal. Peneliti menyadari bahwa perlunya penekanan aspek pemahaman konsep serta pengembangan berpikir kreatif di dalam pembelajaran. This study aims to analyze the mathematical abilities of three 8th grade students of MTs Islamiyah on Systematic Listing and Counting using descriptive qualitative methods and observational data collection techniques. The research was conducted by testing mathematical questions that have easy, medium, and difficult levels. From the analysis conducted by the researcher, it was found that the three students were able to do all the questions correctly. However, only two of the three questions can be done independently, namely easy questions and moderate questions. Meanwhile, the rest, which is difficult questions, require direction by researchers in the process. This is due to the lack of information provided on difficult questions. This makes it difficult for students to solve problems. Researchers realize that it is necessary to emphasize aspects of conceptual understanding and the development of creative thinking in learning.

Abstract

Proof of geometry is a topic that involves mathematical reasoning abilities and relates to perseverance involving hard work, the spirit of achievement, and self-confidence. The current important problem that occurs at this time is that students who are future teachers of mathematics still experience difficulties in compiling proofs, especially those who are not challenged to work hard. This qualitative research explores mathematics teacher candidates' reasoning abilities and perseverance in proving geometric theorems. Therefore, the research design used a case study. There were three participants in this study, and they were student prospective mathematics teachers' s taking geometry courses. Data were collected through working documents, open questionnaires, and semi-structured interviews and were analyzed using iterative techniques consisting of data condensation, data exposure, and verification. The study's results showed that students' prospective teachers did not prioritize proof in solving geometry problems, even though they worked hard to solve the problems independently until they were finished. The students' perseverance also impacts their mathematical reasoning in proving geometric theorems. Students with more hard work values tend to have more reasoning values. The results of this study have implications that there needs to be an effort from the teacher to get used to giving proof questions to support students' perseverance and mathematical reasoning abilities.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran PROLUCC (Proof of the Volume of Cylinders and Cones) yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. PROLUCC adalah media pembelajaran untuk membuktikan volume tabung dan kerucut. Model ADDIE yang terdiri dari analysis, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation digunakan sebagai model pengembangan dalam penelitian ini. Uji validitas media PROLUCC dilakukan dengan melibatkan para ahli pada tiap tahapan ADDIE, sedangkan untuk uji praktikalitas dan efektivitas media PROLUCC dilakukan melalui uji coba kepada mahasiswa pendidikan matematika dan siswa. Untuk mengumpulkan data hasil uji coba dilakukan wawancara dan observasi yang kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil pengembangan disimpulkan media PROLUCC valid. Sementara berdasarkan hasil uji coba diperoleh media PROLUCC praktis dan efektif. Media PROLUCC terbukti mudah digunakan dan dapat mendukung pemahaman siswa dalam membuktikan rumus volume tabung dan kerucut. Hal ini menunjukkan kemanjuran media PROLUCC. Oleh karena itu, media PROLUCC dapat dikatakan valid, praktis, dan efektif.

Abstract

[Bahasa]: Kurikulum merdeka menuntut para guru memahami komponen atau istilah yang ada di dalamnya, salah satunya yaitu ATP atau Alur Tujuan Pembelajaran. Untuk dapat merumuskan ATP, guru juga perlu penguasaan dalam menyusun mind mapping atau peta konsep matematika yang perlu dipelajari oleh siswa. Guru perlu memahami ATP sebagai panduan yang esensial dalam merancang pembelajaran yang efektif dan relevan. Tujuan utama kegiatan ini adalah memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan kepada guru dalam penyusunan mind mapping dan ATP berbasis Kikuduko dalam upaya meningkatkan kompetensi para guru. Metode yang digunakan adalah presentasi, workshop, diskusi dan pendampingan. Kegiatan dilaksanakan secara daring dan diikuti 21 orang guru SMP dari wilayah Kota Kayuagung. Hasil dari kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan penyusunan mind mapping dan ATP berbasis KIkuduko ini adalah peserta pelatihan sudah mampu menyusun mind mapping dan ATP berbasis KIkuduko. Hasil analisis angket respon kepuasan aspek pendampingan yang dapat membantu peserta menyusun mindmapping dan ATP sebesar 93.75%, aspek kedua terkait pengetahuan peserta tentang mindmapping dan ATP sebesar 94.375%, aspek ketiga tentang kepuasan peserta terhadap materi yang dikaji dan pendampingan yang diberikan sebesar 95%, dan aspek keempat mengenai keterampilan peserta dalam menyusun mindmapping dan alur tujuan mendapat respon dari peserta sebesar 88.75%. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini sangat efektif untuk membantu guru dalam memahami Capaian Pembelajaran dan menyusun Tujuan Pembelajaran dan Alur Tujuan Pembelajaran, serta mengenalkan guru pada mindmapping untuk memudahkan guru dalam menyusun ATP. Kata kunci: mind mapping, Alur Tujuan Pembelajaran (ATP), Kikuduko [English]: “Kurikulum Merdeka” requires teachers to understand the components or terms contained in it, one of which is ATP or Learning Objectives Flow. To be able to compile ATP, teachers also need to master compiling mind maps or maps of mathematical concepts that students need to learn. Teachers need to understand ATP as an essential guide in designing effective and relevant learning. The main objective of this activity is to provide training and assistance to teachers in preparing Kikuduko-based mind maps and ATPs in an effort to increase the competence of teachers. The methods used are presentations, workshops, discussions and mentoring. The activity was carried out boldly and was attended by 21 junior high school teachers from the Kayuagung City area. The results of the training and assistance activities in preparing KIkuduko-based mind maps and ATPs are that the training participants are able to prepare KIkuduko-based mind maps and ATPs. The results of the response questionnaire analysis of satisfaction with aspects of mentoring that can help participants prepare mindmapping and ATP is 93.75%, the second aspect is related to participants' knowledge about mindmapping and ATP is 94.375%, the third aspect is regarding participant satisfaction with the material studied and the assistance provided is 95%, and The fourth aspect regarding participants' skills in compiling mindmapping and goal flow received a response from participants of 88.75%. This community service activity is very effective in helping teachers understand Learning Achievements and compiling Learning Objectives and Learning Goal Flow, as well as introducing teachers to mindmapping to make it easier for teachers to prepare ATP. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan suatu alat peraga PanJarKuBa (Papan Jaring-Jaring Kubus dan Balok). Penelitian dilakukan terhadap beberapa orang siswa kelas 5 SD. Dalam penelitian ini, model penelitian yang diterapkan adalah model pengembangan ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement dan Evaluate). Prosedur yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah 1) analisis dan validasi ide, 2) mendesain produk/alat peraga, 3) validasi dan revisi produk/alat peraga, 4) uji coba produk/alat peraga, dan 5) evaluasi terhadap produk/alat peraga. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan hasil uji coba dengan bantuan instrumen tes dan hasil evaluasi memperlihatkan bahwa alat peraga PanJarKuBa (Papan Jaring-Jaring Kubus dan Balok) telah sukses dikembangkan dengan baik.

Abstract

NCTM revealed that one of the five process standards that learners must have is reasoning and evidence. One of the mathematical topics that is loaded with mathematical proof is trigonometry. Given the enormous contribution of computers to mathematics lessons, one of the media that can be used in this material is the geogebra media system. The purpose of the study was to describe the ability of high school students to prove mathematics of trigonometric material using evidence-based learning assisted by geogebra software. The subject of his research was a grade XI student of SMA Srijaya Negara Palembang. This type of research is descriptive with qualitative methods using research instruments including written tests and interviews. The results of research that have been conducted show that students' mathematical proof ability is classified as medium category. Students have raised indicators of mathematical proof ability including identifying data with a percentage of 77.5%, stating the relationship between data with conclusions with a percentage of 87.5%, using premises, definitions, or theorems with a percentage of 56.67%, and constructing proofs using geogebra software with a percentage of 30%.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the communication skills of class VIII students in problem-based learning on even number equations using AKM Counting questions at SMPN 53 Palembang. The subjects of this research were class VIII students with high, medium and low levels of mathematics learning ability. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research type. Data was collected through written tests and deepened further through interviews. In general, the findings of this research indicate that the communication skills of Class VIII students at SMPN 53 Palembang are still relatively low. This is based on the results of tests carried out on 62 students who were research subjects, of which 21 students were in the good category, 6 students were in the medium category, and 35 students were in the good category, people in the lower category. Students in the good category have shown indicators of communication skills, students in the medium category have not shown indicators of communication skills, while students in the low category have not shown indicators of communication skills

Abstract

Dukungan guru dalam pembelajaran terhadap pemahaman bahasa matematika oleh siswa dapat membantu siswa dalam mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir logis, analitis, dan kritis. Namun, guru masih kurang dalam menggunakan bahasa matematika pada proses pembelajaran. Hal ini berkaitan dengan masih minimnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru terhadap penggunaan bahasa matematika dalam pembelajaran. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM) pada kegiatan ini memiliki tujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru matematika Yayasan Maitreyawira dalam merancang strategi pembelajaran matematika melalui penggunaan bahasa matematika. Kegiatan pelatihan dilaksanakan dalam 3 level kompetensi, yaitu level 1 tentang pengertian bahasa matematika yang dari fenomena yang ada di sekitar; level 2 berkenaan dengan strategi pembelajaran menggunakan bahasa matematika; level 3 mengimplementasikan strategi pembelajaran yang dirancang guru ke dalam kelas simulasi. Pencapaian 3 level kompetensi ini dilakukan secara berjenjang. Metode pelatihan meliputi Focus Group Discussion (FGD), proyek, presentasi, dan implementasi pengajaran pemodelan matematika secara simulai. Tiga puluh guru matematika dari guru SD sampai guru SMA, dari Yayasan Cahaya Maitreyawira Palembang, mengikuti kegiatan yang dilaksanakan secara hybrid. Data dikumpulkan melalui pemberian angket yang bertujuan untuk melihat kepuasan peserta pelatihan dan dokumen hasil kerja guru untuk melihat kemampuan guru dalam merancang strategi pembelajaran matematika. Pelaksanaan pelatihan telah berjalan dengan baik. Respons peserta menunjukkan kepuasan terhadap pelatihan yang diberikan dan hasil pelatihan menunjukkan guru mampu merancang startegi pembelajaran matematika di topik bilangan pecahan melalui penggunaan bahasa matematika dengan baik. Peserta pelatihan mampu mengimplementasikan strategi pembelajaran pada topik pecahan yang dirancang kepada siswa di dalam kelasnya. Kemampuan guru dalam menggunakan strategi pembelajaran melalui penggunaan bahasa matematika di kelas menunjukkan penguasaan guru terhadap 3 level kompetensi dalam pelatihan ini.

Abstract

This research belongs to the type of development research, which consists of the main stages, including preliminary design and formative evaluation. This study aims to obtain valid and practical PISA-type development questions consisting of initial design, self-evaluation, expert review, one-to-one, and small group. The emergence of this research is due to the low mathematical literacy of students in Indonesia. This study took a particular research subject for grade IX junior high school students in Palembang City. From this study, the results obtained include the development of PISA-type questions and activities using the context of social distancing during the pandemic.
