Abstract

This study explores management transformation at Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) through a Pondok Pesantren Syaikh Zainuddin NW Bintan case study. The research addresses the urgent need for pesantren to adapt to contemporary educational demands while preserving their traditional identity. Previous studies have highlighted the challenges of integrating classical Islamic education with modern curricula. However, few have examined comprehensive management transformations, including curriculum development, leadership restructuring, and internal quality assurance systems. This study aims to fill that gap by analyzing how pesantren management adapts to these challenges. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with foundation leaders, school principals, teachers, and caregivers, direct observations, and document analysis. Findings reveal three key transformations: first, the integration of the traditional Salafiyah curriculum with the national curriculum and 21st-century competencies; second, a leadership shift from a centralistic to a decentralized model that empowers institutional units; and third, the establishment of a Quality Assurance Team (TPMPP) to ensure sustainable institutional development. These changes indicate a significant movement toward modern, participatory, and quality-oriented pesantren governance. The implications of this study highlight the need for pesantren to balance tradition with innovation to remain relevant in a rapidly evolving educational landscape.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis interaksi biochar dan mikroba terhadap pertumbuhan padi melalui pendekatan bibliometrik. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan aplikasi Publish atau Perish dan dianalisis dengan VOSviewer, yang menghasilkan enam klaster utama serta tiga bentuk visualisasi, yaitu jaringan, overlay, dan kepadatan. Analisis ini mencakup rentang waktu tertentu yang mengungkapkan lintasan perkembangan penelitian dan kontribusinya terhadap produksi padi yang berkelanjutan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan tren global pemanfaatan biochar dan mikroba dalam mendukung praktik pertanian ramah lingkungan, dengan kata kunci dominan seperti amendment, activity, dan emission. Temuan juga menyoroti bahwa penelitian mengenai fungsi biochar dan mikroba dalam aspek remediasi dan bioavailabilitas masih terbatas. Secara keseluruhan, eksplorasi bibliometrik ini memberikan wawasan strategis bagi peneliti, praktisi, dan pembuat kebijakan dalam memahami kondisi terkini sekaligus mengarahkan masa depan riset biochar–mikroba pada budidaya padi.

Abstract

Background: The implementation of hospital information systems is expected to improve employee performance, particularly among doctors as key users. Previous studies have shown that the effectiveness of such systems can positively influence individual performance. Purpose: To analyze of Mental Health and Performance of Doctors Using the Hospital Information System (HIS). Method: This quantitative study used a total sampling technique involving 41 doctors at PRIMA Hospital Pekanbaru. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to assess the influence of various factors on doctors’ performance in using HMIS. The independent variables included knowledge, attitude, experience, doctors’ perception, ease of use, system security and reliability, feature–need suitability, data quality and accessibility, hospital policy, training and supervision support, as well as incentives and performance evaluation. Results: The analysis revealed that only the doctors’ perception variable had a statistically significant effect on doctors' performance (p = 0.010 < 0.05). Other variables including knowledge, attitude, experience, ease of use, system security, hospital policies, training, and incentives showed no significant influence (p > 0.05). Conclusion: Doctors’ perception of HMIS is a key factor in enhancing their performance in using the system. To optimize HMIS implementation, hospitals should focus on improving doctors’ understanding and acceptance through strategies such as targeted education and socialization, simplifying and customizing system features, enhancing system speed and interface, and offering performance-based incentives for HMIS utilization. Abstract

The soil that classified as CL-ML soil have range of plasticity index around 4% s/d 7%, and liquid limit with range 12% s/d 30% according to the Casagrande Plasticity graph, this soil condition is very susceptible to the addition of water content so that cause soil at winter season being easily melted as a porridge and cracked as of existed at retrieval specimen location at dry season. This retrieval specimen location located at Government Office of Pekanbaru Area, Indonesia. This situation being problem if there is construction work above it such as road construction. Soil restoration is necessary for stabilizing soil. In this case used stabilizing soil chemically. Ihis research focuses to cycle process of wet-dry toward soil mechanical characterize effect that stabilized by cement. This research result showed that value of unconfined compressive strength toward wet-dry cycle have different values. Cement addition to CL-ML soil get very significant increasing of unconfined compressive strength. Highest increasing unconfined compressive strength is on 7 days curing, 3x 24 hours, drying second cycle about 1.636,51 kPa, this thing caused by cement that contained in 7 days cured soil reacted and turned into paste dan eventually cement that contained in soil start hardened, so that is able to increasing unconfined compressive strength value high enough.Keywords: Wet-dry cycle, UCS, CL-ML, cement stabilization.

Abstract

The ability and professionalism of the waqf manager (nazhir) is one aspect that determines the success of waqf empowerment, which means it will be related to the process or value chain of waqf empowerment. One of the waqf empowerment capabilities in this study is aimed at the development of halal tourism. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to formulate a value chain model and manage waqf-based halal tourism development. The research method used is descriptive-qualitative, and the type of data needed is primary data obtained through interviews with halal tourism managers and visitors who come to the tourist attraction. Meanwhile, other data is obtained from relevant references related to the unit of analysis in this research discussion. Based on the information and data obtained, an analysis is carried out using the value chain model, followed by a description. The results show that nazhir has an important role in managing waqf assets. Therefore, in order to manage assets properly, a nazhir must have both managerial and entrepreneurial skills. From the value chain model, it is known that many aspects determine the success of halal tourism management, including the role of the government, investors, or business people, as well as individuals or communities that have contributed to building waqf-based halal tourism. The results of this study recommend that nazhir plays an important role in the value chain of halal tourism development and is one of the main keys to the success of waqf-based halal tourism management, so the ability and professionalism of nazir must continue to be built.

Abstract

This study was meant 1) to partially analyze the influence of leadership style, organizational culture and motivation on the performance of Educators in State Vocational High Schools in East Lombok Regency. 2) to analyze whether the variables of leadership style, organizational culture and motivation simultaneously influence the performance of Educators in State Vocational High Schools in East Lombok Regency. 3) to analyze the variables of leadership style, organizational culture and motivation, which variables had the most dominant influence on the performance of Educators in State Vocational High Schools in East Lombok Regency. This study was a causal associative research. This study was also a population research where the respondents who returned the questionnaire were 78 respondents. Quantitative analysis technique was used in this study along with the assistance of the SPSS 20 aplication. It showed that 1) Leadership Style had a positive influence on the performance of educators. 2) Organizational culture had a positive influence on the performance of educators but was not significant. 3) Motivation had a positive influence on the performance of educators. 4) Leadership Style, Organizational Culture and Motivation simultaneously influence on the Performance of Educators. 5) Among the three independent variables, motivation variable had the most dominant influence in improving the performance of Educators in State Vocational High Schools in East Lombok Regency.

Abstract

Penyedia layanan kesehatan terus mengalami pertumbuhan dan perkembangan dari waktu ke waktu. Perkembangan tersebut menyebabkan kompetisi antara penyedia layanan kesehatan meliputi klinik gigi. Sebagai klinik gigi yang memiliki konsep baru dibanding dengan praktik dokter gigi konvensional, klinik gigi seperti Bandung Dental Center memerlukan strategi pemasaran yang tepat agar pasien mau berkunjung dan melakukan perawatan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis strategi segmentasi, target, dan posisi (STP) Bandung Dental Center serta pengaruh marketing mix atau bauran pemasaran yang meliputi product, place, price, ­dan promotion yang telah diterapkan terhadap keputusan kunjungan pasien di Bandung Dental Center. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif yang mencakup 95 pasien sebagai sampel dilakukan pada periode awal 2023. Berdasarkan analisis STP didapatkan bahwa pasien mayoritas berjenis kelamin perempuan, berusia remaja hingga dewasa, bekerja sebagai pelajar, mahasiswa, serta karyawan BUMN/swasta yang bertempat tinggal di Kota Bandung. Hasil penelitian juga ditemukan bahwa dari empat variabel yang diuji hanya variabel product dan price memiliki hasil T-statistik >1,96 dan nilai-p 0 sehingga kedua variabel tersebut diangggap berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keputusan kunjungan pasien di Bandung Dental Center.AbstractHealthcare providers continually undergo growth and evolution over time, leading to increased competition among them, including dental clinics. Bandung Dental Center (BDC), positioned as a comprehensive dental service clinic catering to individuals seeking aesthetic dental services and specialized care for children and adolescents, operates amidst this competitive landscape. In order to attract and retain patients in the face of this competition, BDC requires an effective marketing strategy. The objective of this research was to assess the effectiveness of BDC's STP strategy (segmenting, targeting, and positioning) and examine how the marketing mix elements (product, place, price, and promotion) influence patients' decisions to visit and receive treatment at BDC during carried out in the early 2023 period. The study, conducted as a descriptive quantitative analysis with a sample size of 95 patients, revealed that the majority of patients were female, adolescents to adults, and were engaged as students, university students, or employed in BUMN/private sectors, residing in the city of Bandung. The research findings indicated that among the tested variables, only the product and price variables demonstrated T-Statistic results > 1.96 and P-Value 0, signifying a positive and significant impact on patients' decisions to visit the Bandung Dental Center

Abstract

Rumah Sakit A sebagai rumah sakit swasta yang cukup berkembang di Bandung mengalami penurunan jumlah pasien beberapa tahun terakhir sejak tahun 2014. Penurunan jumlah pasien ini diduga sebabnya adalah penurunan kinerja dokter. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji faktor-faktor budaya organisasi etos kerja islami yang secara parsial dan simultan memengaruhi kinerja dokter di Rumah Sakit A. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus dengan jenis penelitian analisis kuantitatif menggunakan rancangan cross sectional verifikatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah dokter yang bekerja di Rumah Sakit A baik itu di Instalasi Rawat Jalan, Instalasi Rawat Inap dan Intersive Care Unit, yaitu sebanyak 90 orang yang terdiri dari dokter, dokter gigi, dan spesialis. Waktu penelitian dilaksanakan Juli–Desember 2016. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan membagikan kuesioner, melihat rekam medik, dan melalui observasi. Model analisis data pada penelitian ini, yaitu path analysis atau analisis jalur. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa dari faktor-faktor budaya organisasi (inovasi, perhatian terhadap detil, orientasi kerja, keagresifan, stabilitas) dan etos kerja islami (berorientasi waktu/Wal’Ashri, bekerja sebaik-baiknya/Itqan, kepemimpinan/Khalifah Fil’Ardh) berpengaruh terhadap kinerja dokter. Hasil analisis jalur menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan parsial antara budaya organisasi dan kinerja dokter sebanyak 0,493 dan etos kerja islami terhadap kinerja dokter sebanyak 0,467. Juga terdapat hubungan simultan budaya organisasi dan etos kerja Islami secara simultan dengan kinerja dokter sebanyak 0,756 di RS A. Simpulan menunjukkan budaya organisasi dan etos kerja Islami meningkatkan kinerja dokter di RS A.AbstractThe A Hospital is one of the leading private hospitals in Bandung had been experiencing a decrease in numbers of patients since 2014, that’s possibly caused by the doctor’s performance. This study was conduct to understand organizational culture and Islamic work ethic that affected doctor’s performance partially and simultaneouly in the A Hospital. The research method was to study cases with quantitative analysis using a cross sectional and verified design. The research population here are the doctors of the inpatient care unit, outpatient care unit, intensive care unit, and emergency care unit in the A Hospital. 90 samples were taken consist of doctors, dentists and specialized. During July – December 2016. The data analysis technique used in this research was path analysis. The data analysis showed that all dimentions organizational cultures (innovation, job detail job orientation, agressivity, stabilization), Islamic work ethic (time orientation/wal’ashri, hard work/itqon, leadership/khalifah fil’ardh) affected the doctors performances. The result of the path analysis showed that organizational cultures affected partially to performance as much as 0.493, Islamic work ethic affected partially to performance as much as 0.467, and simultaneously affected the doctor’s performances as much as 0.756 in the A Hospital. In conclusion, organizational culture and Islamic work ethic improved doctor performance.

Abstract

Hospital management is a process of organizing the available resources to support the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare services provided. The main functions of hospital management include operational management, cost and financial management, materials management, and human resource management. This literature study aims to review each hospital management function based on previous studies within the last five years (2019-2023) obtained from scientific database searches. The inclusion criteria were studies with topics correlated to the four categories of hospital management functions and written in Indonesian/English. Articles that were published from books were excluded. A total of eight studies which were published in accredited journals and can be accessed in full-text form, were analyzed. The results of this study demonstrate that good management will improve overall hospital performance. High-quality financial management will support optimizing the availability of supporting materials for clinical and diagnostic services in hospitals. In addition, adequate human resources planning and organizing, as well as an appropriate work system design, will acknowledge the need for human resource development to increase the professional competence needed to provide health care in the hospital.
