Abstract

Abstract

Disasters pose serious threats to communities. Hospital preparedness is therefore essential to ensure effective emergency and disaster response services. This study assesses hospital preparedness using the Hospital Safety Index (HSI), focusing on structural, non-structural, and functional dimensions, and examines disaster management policies at SMC Regional General Hospital (RSUD SMC), Tasikmalaya Regency. A quantitative approach was applied by calculating HSI scores based on standardized indicators from Hospital Disaster Plan Management, covering seven management dimensions and three preparedness standards. The results show that RSUD SMC achieved an overall HSI score of 0.648, placing the hospital in Category A, indicating it is likely to remain operational during emergencies and disasters. Structural preparedness scored 0.822, non-structural preparedness 0.780, and functional preparedness 0.580. Although disaster management has been implemented, it has not been fully optimized, indicating the need for policy revisions and continuous capacity-building to strengthen hospital safety and disaster resilience.

Abstract

Amid the increasing complexity of cultural and religious diversity in public schools, maintaining the sustainability of inclusive Islamic values is becoming increasingly urgent. This study aims to examine how Islamic education in multiethnic schools can be a space for identity negotiation between Islam and Chineseness, especially for Chinese students at SMP Negeri 2 Pontianak City. This study uses an anthropological approach with qualitative methods, involving participatory observation and in-depth interviews with 9 informants, consisting of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers, homeroom teachers, Chinese students, and parents. The results show that the practice of Islamic education in this school is carried out through a humanistic approach that is open to diversity, without emphasizing cultural uniformity. Interethnic interactions run harmoniously and contribute to the formation of tolerance values and cross-cultural understanding. Islamic education not only functions as a medium for fostering religiosity, but also strengthens inclusive citizenship identity. This study contributes to the development of a pedagogical model based on local wisdom and universal Islamic values in creating a moderate, fair, and adaptive learning space in a multicultural formal education environment.

Abstract

The last few decades of the institutionalization of Islamic finance are notable for the fundamental controversies surrounding its institutionalization. These controversies can be seen rooted in the dual phenomena of the legalistic form taking Islamic finance as a practice and the overwhelming reliance on modern managerial paradigms. There are significant ethical gaps as consequence. The objective of the current research is to aim to help reconstruct the philosophy of Islamic financial management from the perspective of the maqasid al-shariah and, importantly, to treat it as a primary lens and not secondary. The research employs a qualitative conceptual and philosophical approach and attempts to engage the prevailing paradigms and contours of Islamic finance through the lenses of ontology, epistemology and axiology. The research finds that contemporary Islamic financial management suffers from a deficient ontology of profit, epistemology of compliance and an axiology that is instrumentally weak. In light of the above, the research articulates the philosophy of Islamic Finance in the direction of the maqasid and posits that finance as an instrument of maslahah, and so, in that order, integrate revelation, reason, and the socio-economic order, and it is, thereby, just to place the preeminent values of human dignity, justice and the welfare of the greater good (public) in the financing of maslahah. The research articulates a coherently formulated philosophy of Islamic financial management based on the maqasid for the Islamic financial management of practice and for empirical, policy and institutional Islamic finance reform, and so makes a significant theoretical contribution.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a philosophical reinterpretation of risk management and to examine its implications for organizational leadership. Using a conceptual and philosophical research design, the study is based on a systematic review and integrative synthesis of literature on risk management, leadership, and practical philosophy, particularly Aristotelian ethics and the concept of phronesis. The analysis indicates that dominant risk management models are largely grounded in instrumental rationality and are limited in addressing ethical ambiguity, contextual judgment, and moral responsibility in decision-making under uncertainty. As a result, this study develops a conceptual framework that emphasizes practical wisdom, ethical reasoning, and leadership sensemaking as core elements of effective risk governance. The study concludes that risk management is fundamentally a moral and interpretive activity embedded in leadership practice, and that integrating practical philosophy into risk management complements existing technical models while strengthening ethical accountability, strategic decision-making, and organizational resilience.

Abstract

This research investigates the Indonesian consumers’ adoption of Virtual Influencers (VIs) by extending the technology acceptance model (TAM) through the integration of relational constructs. This study examined the effect of perceived usefulness (PU) and perceived ease of use (PEOU) on attitude, the effect of attitude on behavioural intention (BI) and the mediating role of trust in consumer engagement. Data were collected through an online survey from 500 Indonesian social media users aged 18–35 years old who actively follow VIs on Instagram or TikTok. The analysis used structural equation modeling (SEM) using SmartPLS and AMOS. Reliability and validity were measured by using Cronbach's alpha, composite reliability, AVE, and discriminant validity, while the mediation analysis was tested by bootstrapping with 5,000 resamples. The results show that PU and PEOU significantly affect attitudes, which in turn affect behavioral intention. Behavioral intention is also a significant factor in the development of trust, and trust is found to be the strongest predictor of engagement. In addition, cultural aspects such as collectivism and religiosity are discussed as contextual factors. The model has good explanatory power with R2 of 0.42-0.56. The results show that trust is a significant element in the intention-to-engagement process in the context of VIs. Practically, brands can prioritize transparency and cultural relevance when developing virtual influencers to increase engagement among Indonesian Millennials and Gen Z. This study contributes to the limited empirical literature on VIs in Southeast Asia by extending TAM with trust and engagement.

Abstract

Amid the complexity of ethnic and religious diversity in public schools, religious moderation becomes essential in creating a safe and inclusive educational environment. This study aims to examine the practice of religious moderation within the context of multicultural education, focusing on the experiences of Chinese students at SMP Negeri 2 Kota Pontianak. In a multiethnic and multireligious society like Pontianak, students from minority groups often face challenges in expressing their cultural and religious identities, especially within formal educational settings dominated by majority values. The study explores how values of moderation, such as tolerance, respect for differences, and social harmony, are manifested in daily school practices. Using a qualitative approach and case study design, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving students, teachers, and school staff. The findings show that the school’s multicultural approach, implemented through curriculum content, interfaith activities, and a culture of dialogue among students, has successfully created an open space for identity expression among Chinese students. The integration of Islamic religious education with the values of religious moderation not only nurtures religiosity but also strengthens social cohesion and inclusive civic identity. This study contributes to the development of adaptive and equitable pedagogical strategies in addressing diversity in formal education.   Keywords: Religious Moderation, Multicultural Education, Chinese Students

Abstract

Healthcare access in Indonesia is challenged by an imbalanced doctor-to-patient ratio and an inefficient system, limiting service availability. Telemedicine offers a solution by improving efficiency, saving time for remote patients, and providing health information. Halodoc, one of Indonesia’s most popular telemedicine applications, actively uses social media to promote its services. Social media marketing (SMM) plays an important role in stimulating the intention to reuse Halodoc. Another key factor is perceived value (PV), which reflects users’ evaluation of the benefits and worth of Halodoc’s services. This study aims to examine the impact of Halodoc’s SMM and PV on the intention to reuse its services, both individually and jointly. A descriptive and verificative quantitative approach was employed, with purposive sampling of 97 respondents who had used Halodoc, lived in Bandung, amd have viewed or followed Halodoc’s social media. Data were analyzed using SPSS. The descriptive analysis showed that SMM, PV, and reuse intention were all rated very positively by respondents. The results indicate that SMM has a significant positive effect on reuse intention. Similarly, PV has a significant positive effect on reuse intention. Furthermore, when SMM and PV are analyzed together, they exert a significant combined influence on the intention to reuse Halodoc. These findings highlight the importance of SMM and PV in strengthening user loyalty toward telemedicine services. Keywords: telemedicine, social media marketing, perceived value,  reuse intention.
