Abstract

Pesisir Barat Regency in Lampung has abundant marine biological wealth that has not been widely known and utilized by the community, one of them is macro algae. The objectives of the research were to identify the types of macro algae and to explains the potential use of macro algae in the Pesisir Barat Lampung Region. The study used cruise method. The findings were identified by experts to validate the results of classification, morphology, and qualitative studies regarding the potential use and benefits of macro algae. From the results of this study, 15 species of macro algae were found on Tanjung Setia Beach included; 3 species of green algae (Chlorophyta) consist of  Halimeda opuntia L., Caulerpa racemosa F., Ulva lactuca L .; 7 species of brown algae (Phaeophyta) consist of  Padina pavonica L., Padina australis H., Sargassum vulgare C.A., Sargassum polycystum C.A., Turbinaria ornata J.A., Turbinaria ornata J.A., Fucus vesiculosus L.; and 5 species of red algae (Rhodophyta), consist of  Corallina officinalis L., Gigartina pistilla S., Gigartina disticha S., Gracilaria verrucosa, H., Rhodymenia pseudopalmat J.V.L.The benefits of this research for society to provide insight into the potential use of macro algae which can be utilized in many fields. For students, provide information on the biodiversity of macro algae in the sea.

Abstract

Improving learning quality in 21st can not be separated from contextual learning and student-centered learning paradigm. The contextual lesson study program conducted in learning-forest prototype to build a learning community. The objectives of this research were to improve learning activities of postgraduate students in Biology Education department and to build a learning community. The implementation of lesson study was conducted in the Biology Learning Innovation subject for postgraduate students while practicing to observe open lesson in the undergraduate students which used learning forest-prototype. The postgraduate students took roles as planner, observer, and reflector in the plan, do (open lesson), and see (reflection) activities. The implementation was done in three cycles in even semester of academic year 2015/2016. Students learned collaboratively and contextually. The postgraduate students’ learning activities were observed by six observers from lecturer colleagues. The research results showed that the students were able to implement planning, open lesson, and reflection properly. The average of student’s learning activity grade was 91.11% from all of students, with the grade averages for planning, open lesson, and reflection activities were 88.89%, 93.33%, and 91.11% respectively. The implementation of this lesson study in the learning forest-prototype can be done in other relevant subjects to strengthen learning activities.

Abstract

Augmented reality is a technology that connects the virtual and real world with the help of a camera. Augmented reality technology is very important to get an overview of the progress and the real impact of its use in biology learning. Furthermore, through systematic literature review analysis, we searched for biology learning publications that utilized augmented reality. The results of the study show that there are no biology journals on a scopus basis that discuss the use of augmented reality the most. The trend of using augmented reality in biology learning from 2012-2022 started in 2016 and was highest in 2020. Biological material that uses the most augmented reality media is heart and blood flow material. The level of education that makes the most use of augmented reality is college. The types of research which is most widely used are research and development. The obstacles that occur are the lack of facilities and the lack of teacher training in utilizing augmented reality. All levels of education can take advantage of augmented reality with teacher skills facilitating student learning. Abstract

Biology learning must strengthen the character of students caring for the environment concerning general and domestic waste. Domestic waste in the form of fecal sludge is a contextual environmental problem that must be managed properly. Sludge still has a fairly high concentration of nutrient content that can be utilized. The purpose of this study was to determine students' perceptions of the benefits of vermicompost as a source of contextual biology learning. As many as 239 public and private junior high school students in Metro City participated in filling out the online questionnaire. The questionnaire was developed by referring to the environmental care character criteria from the student's perspective which includes five main indicators, namely concern for the environment, responsible attitude, student knowledge about vermicompost, student motivation for contextual learning, and commitment to developing vermicompost. Data were analyzed descriptively referring to the critical success factors (CSFs). The results of the research showed that there were 5 student perceptions regarding the character of caring for the environment, namely students gave a strongly agree perception of 38.31%, a agree perception of 41.06%, a somewhat agree perception of 18.19%, a disagree perception of 2 .04, and strongly disagree at 0.40%. Students' perceptions of their environmentally caring character are influenced by many factors, namely students' knowledge and understanding of human fecal sludge and its benefits, a sense of responsibility for environmental sustainability, and students' level of education. Those who understand environmental sustainability and the benefits of fecal sludge have the perception that fecal sludge can be utilized through vermicompost and this process can be utilized as a contextual learning resource.

Abstract

The aquarium is a medium made of glass, which is currently favored by ornamental fish enthusiasts because apart from being easy to make an aquarium, it is also practical. Aquascape is the art of creating underwater scenery in an aquarium area. To ensure the success of creating a beauty from the art of aquascape, it takes many balance factors in the ecosystem of an aquarium. The objectives of this study include knowing whether there is an influence of pumakcal variation on the growth of Flame Moss in aquascape with poor sand media, knowing the most appropriate pumakcal variation for the growth of Flame Moss and analyzing the potential of learning resources for biology learning material for growth and development. From the results of this study, it was found that variations in pumakkal liquid fertilizer had no significant effect on the growth of flame moss plant height, and variations in pumakkal liquid fertilizer had a significant effect on water pH in flame moss plants. The variety of isolates of pumakkal fertilizer with P4 treatment which gave the best effect on the growth of flame moss plant height was the highest average of 6.88 cm. And the variation of pumakkal fertilizer isolate with P5 treatment was found to have the highest pH value of 7.4. And research results can be used as potential sources of learning biology material for growth and developmen. Kata kunci: aquascape, flame moss, organic fertilizer, pumakkal

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas variasi konsentrasi ekstrak daging buah bintaro (Carberra odollam) sebagai insektisida ulat grayak (Lepidoptera) pada tanaman bawang daun (Allium fistulosum L) Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian ini jenis eksperimen yang menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Dalam rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan 4 taraf yaitu perlakuan dengan,konsentrasi ekstrak 1%, 1,5%, 2% dan kontrol menggunakan insektisida berbahan aktif Tenano, tiap perlakuan dilakukan pengulangan sebanyak 3 kali sehingga jumlah percobaan yang akan dilakukan sebanyak 12 kali. Hasil analisis menunjukkan: (1) Pemberian variasi ekstrak buah bintaro berpengaruh tehadap pertumbuhan mortalias ulat grayak. Berdasarkan hasil analisi nilai sig. 0,000< 0,05 yang berarti pemberian variasi ekstrak buah bintaro dengan dosis berbeda berpengaruh terhadap mortalitas ulat grayak. (2) Variasi penambahan ekstrak buah bintaro menyebabkan mortalitas yang berbeda-beda. Mortalitas terbaik pada perlakuan P0V3 dengan pemberian variasi ekstrak sebanyak 2% dan terendah pada perlakuan P0V1 pemberian ekstrak 1%. (3) Aktivitas bioinsektisida ekstrak metanol buah bintaro terhadap mortalitas ulat grayak rendah. Semakin tinggi konsentrasi yang digunakan maka semakin tinggi pula mortalitas ulat grayak. Aktivitas bioinsektisida ekstrak metanol buah bintaro terhadap mortalitas ulat grayak rendah. Semakin tinggi konsentrasi yang digunakan maka semakin tinggi pula mortalitas ulat grayak.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pengembangan modul ini didasarkan pada proses pembelajaran yang sudah menggunakan media internet, namun pada kenyataannya pemanfaatannya selama proses pembelajaran belum maksimal dan media pembelajaran belum pernah dikembangkan berupa modul E-learning. tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan modul pembelajaran IPA (Biologi) pada materi sistem organisasi kehidupan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dan mengetahui aktivitas virtual siswa dengan memanfaatkan aplikasi Edmodo. Model pengembangan yang dijadikan dasar penelitian ini dikemukakan oleh Trianto (2011:189) model pengembangan perangkat yang dikemukakan oleh Thiagarajan, Semmel dan Semmel pada tahun 1974 adalah model 4-D, model ini terdiri dari 4 tahap pengembangan yaitu define, merancang, mengembangkan, dan menyebarluaskan. Berdasarkan penjabaran yang telah dijelaskan di atas, dapat dikatakan bahwa modul pembelajaran biologi (IPA) berbasis E-learning dengan edmodo pada materi sistem organisasi kehidupan kelas VII SMP untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa perlu diperhatikan sebagai penunjang dalam proses pembelajaran IPA. Abstract: The development of this module is based on the learning process that already uses internet media, but in reality its use during the learning process has not been maximized and the learning media has never been developed in the form of E-learning modules. the purpose of this study was to develop a science learning module (Biology) in the material system of life organizations to improve student learning outcomes and find out virtual activities of students by utilizing Edmodo application. The development model used as the basis for this research is stated by Trianto (2011: 189) the device development model suggested by Thiagarajan, Semmel and Semmel in 1974 is a 4-D model, this model consists of 4 development stages, namely define, design , develop, and disseminate. Based on the elaboration that has been explained above, it can be said that the biology learning module (IPA) based on E-learning with edmodo on the material system of life organization class VII SMP to improve student cognitive learning outcomes need to be considered as a support in the learning process of Natural Sciences

Abstract

Limbah diapers terdapat urin yang mengandung unsur nitrogen mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan limbah diaperspada media tanam terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman bawang daun (Allium fistulosum. L) sebagai sumber belajar biologi dalam penyusunan brosur edukasi materi Pertumbuhan dan Perkembangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 1 kontrol dan 3 perlakuan dengan 8 kali pengulangan. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama 5 minggu.Parameter yang digunakan dalam peneltian ini meliputi tinggi tanaman, diameter batang semu dan helaian daun bawang (Allium fistulosum.L), dengan data pendukung dianalisis menggunakan aplikasi SPSS 25.0 yang meliputi One Way ANOVA. Hasil dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penambahan limbah diapers pada media tanam berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman bawang daun. Hasil peneltian ini dapat dijadikan sebagai sumber belajar berupa Brosur edukasi materi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan. PenelItian ini masih terbatas dalam menemukan referensi tentang pemanfaatan limbah diapers sebagai media tanam. Sumber belajar berupa brosur hendaknya dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber informasi untuk para peseta didik dan dapat diaplikasikan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran di Sekolah.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is an experimental research, which aims to determine the effect of variation dosage in of organic pineapple liquid waste fertilizer, on the growth and productivity of red lettuce (Lactuca Sativa L) and its potential as learning resources of biology learning. This research uses a Completely Randomized Design with 1 control and 3 treatment combinations and 5 repetitions. This research was conducted for 30 days. The parameters which is used in this research include plant height and wet weight of lettuce (Lactuca sativa L), with supporting data in the form of number of leaves and stem diameter. The main data is tabulated and analysed using the SPSS 25.0 application which includes Multivariate Analysis of Variance. The results of this research can be concluded that the application of organic fertillizer from pineaplle liquid waste has a significant influence on the growth and product of lettuce (Lactuca sativa L). The results of the research be used as a practical guide on plant growth and development materials.

Abstract

Pendidikan memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam rangka pembangunan bangsa dan negara. Pendidikan merupakan bagian dari pembinaan mental yang diarahkan pada upaya mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa dan pembangunan segenap pribadi untuk mengisi kemerdekaan bangsa dan Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia. Potensi lokal sekolah merupakan wahana pembelajaran biologi yang dapat diangkat sebagai sumber belajar dan hasil penggalian dapat disusun dalam bentuk bahan ajar yang dikemas dalam bentuk media pembelajaran berupa modul biologi. Penyusunan kegiatan pembelajaran didasarkan pada potensi sekolah berupa potensi lingkungan sekolah. Objek permasalahan biologis yang ada pada potensi lokal sekolah antara lain: (1) Struktur fungsi tumbuhan di sekitar halaman sekolah, baik morfologi maupun anatomi; (2) Fisiologi tumbuhan, misalnya proses fotosintesis jika dikaitkan dengan intensitas cahaya dan kandungan klorofil daun; (3) Penyakit tanaman dan penyakit di sekitar halaman sekolah; (4) Ekosistem. Untuk memanfaatkan peluang besar tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pentingnya pengembangan modul pembelajaran. Pembuatan modul pembelajaran ini menggunakan model 4D yang merupakan model pengembangan yang terdiri dari 4 tahap. Abstract: Education has a very important role in the framework of building the nation and state. Education is part of mental development that is directed at efforts to educate the life of the nation and the development of the whole person to fill the independence of the nation and the Republic of Indonesia. The local potential of the school is a vehicle for learning biology, which can be appointed as a source of learning and the results of the excavation can be organized in the form of teaching materials, which are packaged in the form of instructional media in the form of biology modules. The preparation of learning activities is based on the potential of the school in the form of the potential of the school environment. The objects of biological problems that exist in the local potential of schools include: (1) The structure of plant functions around the school grounds, both morphology and anatomy; (2) Plant physiology, for example the process of photosynthesis if associated with light intensity and leaf chlorophyll content; (3) Plant diseases and diseases around the school grounds; (4) Ecosystems. To take advantage of this great opportunity, this study aims to analyze the importance of developing learning modules. The making of this learning module uses the 4D model which is a development model consisting of 4 stages.
