The population of this study were all workers in the small brick-making industry in South Jambi District, Jambi City. The number of samples was 66 workers who were taken by proportional random sampling. The data obtained were analyzed with the chi-square test. Workers who experience work postures with a RULA value of 7 must implement changes as quickly as possible as many as 10 workers (15.2%), workers who experience work postures with a RULA value of 5-6 must carry out investigations and immediate improvements as many as 17 workers (25.8) , Workers who have a work posture with a RULA value of 3-4 may need a change of 21 workers (31.8%), Workers who have a work posture with a RULA value of 1-2 good work postures and can be accepted as many as 18 workers (27.3% ). Workers as many as 50 workers (75.8%) and 17 people (25 , 8%) have an abnormal BMI and are at risk. The factors associated with pain relief under work posture obtained p-value: 0.054 (˃0.05) with a PR value: 1.768 (95% CI: 0.961-3.253), age obtained p- value: 0.014 (< 0, 05) with PR value: 2,240 (95% CI: 1,059-4,738) and BMI obtained p-value: 0,322 (˃0,05) with PR value: 1,237 (95% CI: 0835-1,826). There were relationship between work posture and complaints of low back pain in workers, but there is no close relationship between BMI and complaints of low back pain in brick-making workers in The South Jambi District.

Abstract

Hypertension in pregnant women is a factor in the occurrence of illness and death in the mothers or fetus. The causes of hypertension during pregnancy are influenced by various factors including maternal age, family history of hypertension, obesity, physical activity and parity. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors associated with hypertension in pregnant women at Sukarejo Public Health Center, Tanjung Jabung Barat District. The design of the research was Cross Sectional. The population was all pregnant women in Sukarejo Village, Tanjab Barat Regency with a sample of 71 pregnant women (total sampling). The independent variables are maternal age, maternal occupation, parity, family history of hypertension, food consumption patterns and physical activity. Data collection was carried out by interview using questionnaires and measurements. The data obtained were analyzed by univariate and bivariate analysis using the Chi Square test. The proportion of hypertension in pregnant women is 54.9%. The proportion of mothers who had a family history of hypertension among pregnant women with hypertension was 86.2%, the proportion of poor food consumption patterns among pregnant women with hypertension was 69.7% and the proportion of active mothers in pregnant women with hypertension was 87.5%. Statistical analysis showed a relationship between family history of hypertension (p = 0.000, PR = 2.58), diet (p = 0.036, PR = 1.65) and physical activity (p = 0.000, PR = 0.43) with hypertension in pregnant women. The dominant cause of hypertension in pregnant women is a family history of hypertension. Pregnant women need to always check blood pressure and pregnancy checks so that they can detect early signs of hypertension.

Abstract

Disease (acute respiratory infection) Ari is one type of Environmental-based infectious diseases. In Indonesia, cases of Ari always ranks first cause of infant mortality and the prevalence of Ari disease in Jambi province amounted to 3.2% and in Tanjung Jabung Timur amounted to 4.44%. ISPA in East Tanjung Jabung regency is a disease trend every year. In general, the risk factors for ARI are physical environmental factors, host/host factors, agent factors and social environmental factors. The type of research used is quantitative research with cross sectional design. This study aims to find the relationship between the variable occupancy density, floor type, wall type, ceiling of the house, lighting, smoking family members, maternal knowledge with the incidence of ARI in toddlers. The population in this study were toddlers in the Working Area of the Simpang Pandan Health Center and the sample of this study was 103. Sampling technique in this study using Stratified Random Sampling technique. How data collection is done by interviews, observations, and measurements using tools. The results showed that there is a relationship between : occupancy density (P - value=0.003 and PR = 1.976), floor type (p= 0.014 and PR = 1.874), wall type (p=0.020 and PR = 1.852) lighting (p=0.018 and PR = 1.790), smoking family members (p= 0.020 and PR = 1.852 ) and maternal knowledge (P-value=0.035 and PR = 1.678) with acute respiratory infections in toddlers. While the variables that are not related to the incidence of ARI in this study is the variable ceiling of the House (p-value = 0.968 and PR = 1.080). It is recommended that family members do not smoke in the house, pay attention to the residential density of the House, home lighting, and the type of floor in the House.

Abstract

The increase in the incidence of COVID-19 has caused quite a bad impact on the whole world in various complex fields. The incidence of COVID-19 cases is high and the case fatality rate (CFR) is high in the world, nationally and in Jambi province and the incidence of COVID-19 cases is high even in Puskemas Paal V also has a fairly high CFR rate. The purpose of this study was to determine risk factors based on the application of health protocols for the occurrence of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the working area of the Paal V Health Center in Jambi city in 2021. This type of research is analytical and uses a case control study design with a large sample in this study as many as 82 respondents with a ratio of 1:1 so that 41 respondents for the case Group and 41 respondents for the control group using simple random sampling from COVID-19 case data in January-February. It was found that respondents who sometimes avoid crowds (OR: 6.86 95% CI 0.79-59.76) and reduce mobility (OR: 8.24 0.96-70.31) are at high risk of Covid-19. It is necessary to try to keep implementing health protocols while outside the home, especially using masks and limiting official (domestic) travel, especially in groups aged 18-40 years.
