Abstract

This article departs from the Freidrich W. Nietzsche's issue on misunderstanding of God. He ‎thought that God was the product of poets (human engineering results). Thus, disassembling the order of truth existing in modern era with his adagium “God Is Dead.” This provides a new discourse of thought, which ‎arises from an anti-God view i.e. “anti-Christ” and hatred of absolutism which result the ‎truth relativism. Nietzsche's ideas greatly influenced the mainstream of liberalist; among them are the students of State Islamic university of Indonesia who declare an ignorance expression of Islam is not only the true religion. More over their claim about the God-freezone institution when welcoming new students. It is surely inappropriate exclamation cames from Muslim students in the country with majority Muslim in the world. Their attitude is the result of a thought that has been affected with the thoughts of Friedrich Wilhm Nietzsche "God is death." This work attempts to elaborate Nietzsche’s influence toward those Muslim collegers as well as the basic thought of their acts. In order to achieve the purpose, the author does not forget to describe the concept of God in Nietzsche's view and its influence on liberal thinking.

Abstract

The issue of integration of science, in fact, is not only interesting to follow as a scientific discourse, but even more is viewed within the framework of the philosophy of science. The establishment of the Islamic universities after the long process of conversion, cannot be denied, making the issue more than just a discourse, but it has become a scientific building. Of course, it is not necessarily noticed, which one is better, or which one is correct, but should be noticed as an option, as the result of the dialectic of the initiators’’ mind with the social, Islamic, and scientific environment surrounding them, as well as precipitated thought which could be formulated. Philosophical that appears is the possibility of the science-based on religion becoming scientific. If it is according to its history, the study of the Philosophy of Science is related to two issues, they are the scientific criteria and the development of science, then the discourse of integration of science, requires the Philosophy of Science to notice it as the latest issues, associated with the possibility of the birth of new scientific tradition and scientific culture, even with the advent of methodology, scientific activity, scientific work and new products of science, which are in a religious context, which puts religion as an integral part of a scientific building.

Abstract

This article intends to look at the latest issues of Philosophy of Science related to the ‎issue of scientific integration, especially those that developes in Islamic State University ‎‎(UIN) Malang and Yogyakarta. In some way, the scientific dynamics of UIN are ‎interesting to study regarding UIN’s success that has been done in building a new ‎scientific paradigm accompanying long-period process of institutional development from ‎Institute to University as its most crucial issue. It is understandable that such a ‎development is a very brilliant stage of scientific achievement recorded in history. The ‎scientific dynamics of UIN also continues to be in a spotlight along with the great ‎expectations -and even a concern- of the community. It is on account that in fact, the ‎development of any scientific paradigm connect or impact broadly on religious ‎understanding of general public. If religion (with all its teachings) is understood as being ‎contrary to science all the time, accordingly, it is impossible for science (with all its ‎characteristics and criteria) to meet with religion. Coming through an advanced scientific ‎paradigm, UIN reconstructs both religious and scientific understanding so that they can ‎meet and even negotiate. Moreover, the two Universities have developed new academic ‎traditions as well, characterized by development patterns in the field of research and ‎scientific works of their academic communities.‎
