Abstract

Edukasi berperan penting terhadap kesuksesan anak dimasa depan. Orang tua dituntut untuk menjadi pendamping di rumah dalam menanamkan nilai dan cara-cara edukasi bahasa inggris yang mearik dan kreatif sehingga anak akan menyenangi belajar bahasa inggris. Salah satu metode pembelajaran bahasa inggris yang dapat diterapkan oleh orang tua dalam mengarahkan anak-anaknya untuk mampu memahami bahasa inggris dengan baik adalah Didactive Learning. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah memberikan edukasi dan memberdayakan orang tua sebagai madrasah pertama untuk mengajarkan bahasa inggris. Metode pengabdian terdiri dari persiapan, pelaksanan, dan evaluasi. Terdapat 20 khalayak sasaran yang terdiri dari ibu rumah tangga yang berpartipasi dalam pengabdian ini dan bertempat di Ujong Tanjong Kecamatan Kaway XVI Kabupaten Aceh Barat. Hasil pengabdian menunjukan bahwa 85% ibu-ibu rumah tangga mengaku bahwa setelah menerapkan metode serta langkah-langkah pembejaran melalui didactive learning, anak terbukti lebih menyukai bahasa Inggris dari sbelumnya. Oleh karena itu, ibu rumah tangga disarankan untuk memberikan perhatian penuh dalam melakukan pendampingan belajar bahasa Inggris karena dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan semangat belajar siswa di rumah.

Abstract

Language politeness is the key to good communication, including in communication in student WhatsApp groups. However, violations of the principle of language politeness often occur among students, especially in WhatsApp course groups. This study aims to discuss violations of the principle of language politeness among students in Indonesian language course class groups. This study uses a qualitative method with research data in the form of WhatsApp message media. The results showed that there were four violations of the maxim of wisdom, one violation of the maxim of sympathy, five violations of the maxim of generosity, and one violation of the maxim of humility. These violations occur because students think that WhatsApp groups tend to be informal and pay less attention to language politeness. The results of this study are expected to increase students' awareness of the importance of language politeness in communication, especially in WhatsApp groups.

Abstract

Pregnant women with chronic energy deficiency (CED) are likely to have an increased risk of fetal death (stillbirths), premature birth, congenital disabilities, low birth weight infants (LBW), and infant mortality. CED also contributes to approximately 40% of stunting incidents in Indonesia. This study aimed to identify the nutritional content of local-based food consumed by pregnant women. This research was carried out in 3 stages; first, a descriptive approach to analyze the nutritional content of local foods. Second, a quasi-experiment was conducted to see the effect of local food consumption. Third, a qualitative approach to explore food consumption patterns was also be conducted. The results showed that the type of local Acehnese was wet food containing high energy, water, minerals, protein, fat and carbohydrates. This food can be used as an alternative for pregnant women to support their nutritional requirements. The present study also found a significant change in mid-upper arm circumference and weight gain of pregnant women after consuming wet food. Overall, the staple foods often consumed are rice, cassava and Indomie instant noodle because they are accessible and affordable for pregnant women and their families. The Acehnese local wet food can be used as a complementary food for pregnant women. Inappropriate consumption patterns can increase the risk of nutritional deficiencies among pregnant women, which will have short-term and long-term consequences on health. Abstrak: Ibu hamil dengan kekurangan energi kronis (KEK) cenderung memiliki peningkatan risiko kematian janin (lahir mati), kelahiran prematur, cacat bawaan, bayi berat lahir rendah (BBLR), kematian bayi. KEK juga berkontribusi terhadap sekitar 40% kejadian stunting di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kandungan gizi pangan berbasis lokal yang dikonsumsi ibu hamil. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam 3 tahap; pertama, pendekatan deskriptif untuk menganalisis kandungan gizi pangan lokal. Kedua, kuasi eksperimen dilakukan untuk melihat pengaruh konsumsi pangan lokal. Ketiga, pendekatan kualitatif untuk menggali pola konsumsi pangan juga dilakukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis makanan lokal Aceh adalah makanan basah yang mengandung energi tinggi, air, mineral, protein, lemak dan karbohidrat. Makanan ini dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif ibu hamil dalam menunjang kebutuhan gizinya. Penelitian ini juga menemukan perubahan signifikan pada lingkar lengan atas dan penambahan berat badan ibu hamil setelah mengonsumsi makanan basah. Secara keseluruhan, makanan pokok yang sering dikonsumsi adalah nasi, singkong dan mie instan Indomie karena makanan ini mudah didapat dan terjangkau oleh ibu hamil dan keluarganya. Makanan basah khas Aceh ini bisa dijadikan makanan pendamping ibu hamil. Pola konsumsi yang tidak tepat dapat meningkatkan risiko kekurangan gizi pada ibu hamil yang akan berdampak jangka pendek dan jangka panjang terhadap kesehatan.

Abstract

Both soft skills and hard skills are vital to competence graduates’ competence in developing their potential according to their respective interests and skills. In line with these demands, this research aimed at exploring the impact of implementing MBKM on the improvement of soft skills and hard skills of Teuku Umar University students. The object studied are aspects of soft skills including communication skills, responsibility, honesty, fairness, ability to work together, adaptation, tolerance, respect for others, decision-making abilities and problem-solving abilities. Meanwhile, the components of the hard skills studied were foreign language skills, IT skills, reasoning skills, problem-solving skills, collaboration skills, understanding skills and creative thinking skills. The subjects of this study were Teuku Umar University students who had taken the MBKM program. The data were analyzed descriptively by using the percentage of each aspect of soft skills and hard skills. It was found that after joining the MBKM Program, first: students’ soft skills regarding the ability to communicate, responsibility, honest attitude, ability to use technology, to adapt, to be fair, to have cooperative and tolerant attitude, attitude, o respect others, and to make decisions increased up to 98%. Second, regarding the hard skills such as the ability to understand, the ability to reason, problem-solving skills, the ability to connect with other people, the ability to think creatively, the increased is reaching 96.6%. It is concluded that after joining the MBKM programs, the students’ softskills excel as expected.

Abstract

AbstractHuman activities are inseparable from various risks, such as road activities that often cause accidents and deaths. Therefore the government established Law No. 33 and 34 of 1964 concerning liability for accident risk carried out by PT. Jasa Raharja . PT. Jasa Raharja is a state-owned enterprise (BUMN) that guarantees traffic accident insurance through compulsory contributions from passengers and mandatory donations from vehicle owners. But many people do not know yet, when an accident occurs the victims blame each other, burden each other or bear all the risks of the accident. Furthermore, many people do not yet clearly know the procedures, requirements and other provisions for obtaining accident compensation. PT. Jasa Raharja, representative of Meulaboh as the institution responsible for providing accident compensation, has carried out a coding program related to the delivery of information or the socialization of the insurance business. This service program was attended by 40 participants from State Administration Science Teuku Umar University students. This dedication targets all participants to understand the material well delivered and be able to be a liaison to the public related to accident recovery information.

Abstract

The phenomenon of regional language extinction, particularly in Indonesia, is clearly evident and experienced by the language users themselves. In order to prevent the extinction of regional languages, the government has long established a legal framework for regional languages in Indonesia. The Minister of Education has also introduced guidelines (Models A and B) for the revitalization of local languages, with the aim of preserving them in Indonesia. These guidelines are intended to support local governments in adopting strategies to maintain and preserve local languages. Consequently, researchers have shown interest in examining the role of the Regional Government of Nagan Raya Regency in preserving the local language. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method, utilizing data collection techniques such as observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews. The findings of this research indicate that 5 out of 6 approaches to regional language revitalization efforts have been implemented in line with the Language Development and Development Agency (2022). However, the Nagan Raya government has not yet implemented an immersion-based learning approach to language revitalization, as this program is still unfamiliar to them. Nevertheless, other approaches, such as one-day language practice, technology-based learning, religion, arts and culture, and creativity, have been successfully implemented.

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research is to understand the synergy pattern implementation of government policies in accordance with the qanun of traditional farmer institutions number 10 of 2008 in article 25 discusses about traditional farmer institutions have duties and functions that can be synergized by the government village. The rice farming community is always on the poverty line, the dynamics of the socio-economic layers of the farming community are still very attached to values and culture which are often ignored by the government and traditional institutions with unidirectional organizational communication patterns, there are conflicts of interest in increasing the productivity of rice agricultural products. The SDGs-18 Development Target for farming communities is an element of strengthening dynamic village institutions and an adaptive culture which is one of the development prospects in changing the direction of social policy and community empowerment for village development in overcoming poverty. The traditional institution "Keujreng Blang" is one of the roles and functions of rice farming governance which has the potential to create food security which can be integrated through village SDGs development based on farmers' traditional villages. This research method was implemented using a qualitative approach in the form of a phenomenological approach to the socio-economic conditions of society in a more in-depth and comprehensive way towards the problems being analyzed. The research results policy synergy show that rice farming governance cannot be properly integrated by regional governments because the dynamics of policy and the position of traditional institutions at the village level are still assumed by the government. Therefore, it is expected that the government can formulate inclusive policies for traditional institutions in improving agricultural governance in a sustainable way to overcome community poverty. Abstrak: Tujuan Penelitian ini ingin mengetahui pola sinergitas pelaksanaan kebijakan pemerintah sesuai dengan qanun lembaga adat petani nomor 10 Tahun 2008 dalam pasal 25 yakni lembaga adat petani adanya tugas dan fungsi yang dapat disinergikan oleh pemerintah desa. Masyarakat petani padi senantiasa berada digaris kemiskinan, dinamika lapisan sosial ekonomi masyarakat petani masih sangat melekat dengan nilai dan budaya sering diabaikan oleh pemerintah dan lembaga adat dengan pola komunikasi organisasi yang tidak searah, terjadi konflik interest dalam peningkatan produktivitas hasil pertanian padi. Sasaran Pembangunan SDGs-18 bagi masyarakat petani merupakan unsur penguatan kelembagaan desa yang dinamis dan budaya adaptif yang salah satu prospek pembangunan dalam mengubah arah kebijakan sosial dan pemberdayaan masyarakat untuk pembangunan desa dalam penanggulangan kemiskinan. Lembaga adat “Keujruen Blang” adalah salah satu peran dan fungsi tata kelola pertanian padi yang berpotensi menciptakan ketahanan pangan yang dapat diintegrasikan melalui pembangunan SDGs desa yang berbasis desa adat petani. Metode penelitian ini dilaksanakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan bentuk pendekatan fenomenalogis keadaan sosial ekonomi masyarakat secara lebih mendalam dan komprehensif terhadap permasalahan yang dianalisis. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan sinergitas kebijakan dalam tata kelola pertanian padi belum dapat diintegrasikan dengan baik oleh pemerintah daerah dikarenakan dinamika kebijakan dan kedudukan kelembagaan adat diperingkat desa masih semu di asumsikan oleh pemerintah. Maka dengan demikian diharapkan kepada pemerintah dapat memformulasikan kebijakan inklusif bagi lembaga adat agar peningkatan tata kelola pertanian dengan baik dalam penanggulangan kemiskinan masyarakat secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Functional food has emerged as a potential intervention to prevent stunting in toddlers, utilizing locally available ingredients such as tempeh and clams. These foods possess several favorable attributes, including ease of accessibility, affordability, have high nutritional value and excellent digestibility in the human body. This study introduces a novel approach by formulating tempeh broth as a substitute for clam flour, aiming to improve nutritional status and prevent stunting. The primary objective was to develop tempeh broth with substituted clam flour and evaluate the impact on organoleptic properties and nutritional value. The study involved a laboratory experiment where tempeh broth was substituted with varying amounts of claims flour: 15g (P1), 30g (P2), and 45g (P3). Organoleptic evaluation was conducted by 37 panelists using a hedonic scale technique. The analysis of the organoleptic test data comprised the normality, Friedman, and Wilcoxon Test. The findings revealed that the tempeh broth formula with a 15g clam flour substitution (P2) was the most preferred in terms of color, aroma, and taste. The substitution of clam flour in tempeh also led to an increase in the nutritional value, specifically higher protein, PUFA, vitamin A, vitamin E, vitamin B6, total folic acid, potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, ferrous and zinc. In conclusion, increasing the amount of clam flour substitution in tempeh broth resulted in higher nutritional value and had a significant effect on the organoleptic properties. The findings support the continued exploration of local functional food interventions to address nutritional deficiencies and improve public health nutrition.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini merupakan program inovasi dalam preventif stunting melalui adanya rumah gizi kampung (RGK) di Desa Purwodadi Kabupaten Nagan Raya. Melalui metode pendekatan sosialisasi, FGD, dan pemberdayaan, kegiatan ini berhasil mencapai perubahan positif dalam pemahaman masyarakat tentang RKG. Hasil pretest dan post-test menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam pemahaman mereka tentang konsep RGK yang berdampak pada ketahanan pangan keluarga yang berkualitas. Selain perubahan pengetahuan, hasil kegiatan ini juga mencerminkan perubahan positif dalam sikap masyarakat terhadap pentingnya RGK. Pendekatan sosialisasi dan edukasi telah berhasil mengubah pandangan masyarakat terhadap program RGK, yang diharapkan dapat mendorong partisipasi aktif dalam program tersebut. Selain itu, tindakan nyata masyarakat dalam pengolahan makanan bergizi dari bahan lokal juga meningkat secara signifikan. Ini menandakan bahwa masyarakat di Desa Purwodadi sekarang lebih aktif dalam meningkatkan kualitas makanan yang mereka konsumsi sehari-hari, dengan menggunakan tempe dan kelor sebagai bahan pangan bergizi lokal. Perubahan ini adalah bukti konkret dari efektivitas program RGK dalam merubah perilaku masyarakat. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan berharga tentang pentingnya pendidikan, sosialisasi, dan pemberdayaan dalam memerangi stunting dan meningkatkan gizi dan kesehatan masyarakat di tingkat desa. Upaya seperti RGK memiliki potensi untuk memainkan peran penting dalam mencapai tujuan tersebut di daerah-daerah yang masih menghadapi tantangan kesehatan dan gizi

Abstract

Tingginya kejadian stunting (balita pendek) di Indonesia (37,2%) merupakan permasalaha gizi yang berdampak serius terhadap kualitas Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM). Kabupaten Nagan Raya merupakan salah satu kabupaten penyumbang kejadian stunting di provinsi Aceh yaitu 33,2%. Kaldu tempe merupakan hasil ekstrak dari bahan dasar tempe yang mengandung zat gizi protein, energi, lemak, zat besi, vitamin, fosfor, kalsium, vitamin A, Vitamin B1 serta vitamin C. Olahan tempe dapat dinikmati dengan berbagai bentuk, diantaranya yaitu menjadikan tempe sebagai kaldu dalam bentuk bubuk. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengkaji efektivitas produk rumahan kaldu tempe sebagai upaya intervensi spesifik dalam pencegahan kejadian stunting pada balita. Penelitian ini menggunakan eksperimental design dengan subjek penelitian 75 orang balita yanng berasal dari keluarga miskin. Intervensi yang dilakukan adalah pemberian kaldu bubuk tempe produk rumahan dengan penambahan 5 gr bubuk kaldu tempe pada setiap balita makan (3 kali sehari). Intervensi ini menghasilkan peningkatan tinggi badan pada balita. Pemberian bubuk kaldu tempe dapat meningkatkan secara signifikan rerata tinggi badan balita sehingga dapat mencegah stunting pada balita dengan rerata peningkatan tinggi badan sebesar 0,5 ± 1 cm, 1 ± 1.5 cm, 1,6 ± 2 cm, dan diperoleh nilai uji statistik p-value=0.000, menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan yang signifikan tinggi badan pada pengukuran I atau pengukuran sebelum diberikan bubuk kaldu tempe produk rumahan dengan tinggi badan setelah diberikan bubuk kaldu tempe produk rumahan selama 3 bulan. Bubuk kaldu tempe merupakan olahan produk rumahan yang berasal dari kacang kedelai yang efektif dalam peningkatan tinggi badan pada balita, sehingga dapat mencegah stunting pada balita.
