Abstract

Establishing authorized partners for telecommunication providers puts human resource management at odds, as their inherent externalities require further effort to manage. This study delves into this complex management by focusing on the mediating role of organizational commitment in job performance, with organizational culture and motivation as the predictors. The sample (N: 157) is drawn from the authorized partners of the largest telecommunication company in Indonesia, for the analysis employing the partial-least-square structural-equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings show a moderate acceptance of the proposed research model, as indicated by the R2 revelation. The study reveals that organizational commitment can mediate the effects of organizational culture and motivation on the performance of authorized partners. This underscores the importance of organizations having sufficient control over their external distributors by enhancing the positive culture experience and motivational factors in extensive training and engagement settings, thereby providing valuable insights for human resource management.

Abstract

The escalating concern over the green gap phenomenon, which underscores a discord between consumers' environmental concerns and purchasing behaviours, has accentuated the importance of exploring eco-friendly consumption patterns. This study delves into the multifaceted factors influencing the purchasing behaviour of eco-friendly household products, focusing on the dynamic interplay among consumer knowledge, values, subjective norms, and perceived behavioural control. Specifically, it aims to elucidate how these variables collectively inform housewives' attitudes towards eco-friendly products and purchasing behaviours. The research gathered data from 300 respondents across Jambi City and Sungai Penuh City within Jambi Province, employing principal component analysis and structural equation modelling to scrutinize the hypothesized relationships between the constructs. The findings underscore consumer values, subjective norms, and perceived behavioural control significantly and positively influence consumer attitudes towards eco-friendly household products. Moreover, a pronounced positive correlation between consumer attitudes and eco-friendly purchasing behaviour was identified, whereas the impact of consumer knowledge on consumer attitudes emerged as negligible. This research enriches the theoretical discourse on eco-friendly purchasing behaviour, particularly concerning household products. It offers critical insights for marketers, policymakers, and environmental advocates aiming to foster sustainable consumption practices by pinpointing the pivotal factors that shape consumer attitudes and behaviours. Additionally, the study lays a robust groundwork for subsequent research endeavours to bridge the green gap and advance environmental sustainability through enlightened consumer decisions.

Abstract

This comprehensive literature review critically examines the pervasive influence of Electronic Word of Mouth (E-WoM) on consumer decision-making. Distilling insights from over a hundred scholarly articles spanning the last decade, this paper aims to map out how E-WoM impacts purchasing behaviors across diverse sectors. Methodologically, the review adopts a systematic approach to identify, analyze, and synthesize existing research, providing a robust evaluation of E-WoM's effects through both quantitative and qualitative lenses. Findings indicate that E-WoM significantly shapes consumer perceptions and buying decisions, moderated by source credibility, message sentiment, and consumer involvement. The study's major contributions include a proposed integrative model that links E-WoM dynamics with consumer decision-making processes, offering a nuanced understanding of the mechanisms at play. This model clarifies the pathways through which E-WoM exerts its influence and highlights the role of digital platforms in amplifying consumer voices. Furthermore, the paper identifies critical gaps in current research, particularly in the areas of cross-cultural variations and the influence of emerging technologies. By bridging these gaps, this review serves as a foundational resource for academics and practitioners alike, guiding future research trajectories and informing strategic marketing practices in the digital era.

Abstract

This systematic literature review provides a comprehensive exploration of the role of psychological, human, and social capital in shaping entrepreneurial intentions within the context of higher education. The study synthesizes findings from a wide range of empirical studies to assess how these capitals influence students’ aspirations to engage in entrepreneurial activities. An online search was conducted on 125 reputable articles in the 2012-2021 period on entrepreneur intention and psychological, human, and social capital. Our review encompasses a detailed analysis of the psychological constructs that motivate entrepreneurial intentions, such as personal attitude, perceived behavioral control, and subjective norms. Furthermore, we examine human capital elements, including education, skills, and experience, alongside social capital aspects like social networks and family support systems. This review highlights the complex interplay between individual capabilities and contextual factors by integrating insights from multiple theoretical frameworks, including the Theory of Planned Behavior and Social Cognitive Career Theory. The findings suggest that while psychological capital is crucial in forming entrepreneurial intentions, human and social capital are equally significant in providing the necessary resources and networks to act on these intentions. This review contributes to academic discourse by clarifying the roles and relationships of different types of capital in entrepreneurial intention formation among higher education students, offering implications for educators and policymakers in fostering a conducive entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has forced rapid changes. To support this acceleration of change, employees' innovative behavior is essential. Innovative behavior serves as a construct for generating ideas and implementing them. This study aims to develop a model of innovative behavior influenced by job design, with a moderating perspective of knowledge sharing and a mediating perspective of intrinsic motivation. The sample in this study consists of 258 respondents, with data analysis techniques using SEM-PLS and WarpPLS 7.0. The findings indicate that job design has a significant positive effect on intrinsic motivation, knowledge sharing, and employees' innovative behavior. Intrinsic motivation serves as a mediator, influencing the indirect relationship between job design and innovative behavior, partially mediating this relationship. Meanwhile, knowledge sharing as a moderator strengthens the relationship between job design and innovative behavior among employees. This suggests that knowledge exchange among employees generates information related to the pandemic, facilitating opportunities and changes through creative solution concepts that promote and implement their innovative ideas in the workplace.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of price and service quality on customer loyalty toward internet service providers in Jambi City, with digital dependency as a moderating variable. The rising penetration of internet usage has intensified competition among service providers, making pricing strategies and service quality critical factors in retaining customers. A quantitative approach was employed through a survey of 384 customers, and data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that both price and service quality have a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty, with service quality exerting a stronger influence than price. Digital dependency significantly moderates the relationship between price and customer loyalty, weakening its impact, whereas in the relationship between service quality and customer loyalty, it significantly strengthens the effect. These findings indicate that among customers with high levels of digital dependency, service quality becomes a more dominant factor than price. The implications of this study emphasize the need for internet service providers to combine competitive pricing strategies with continuous improvement in service quality, while also considering customers’ levels of digital dependency when designing effective retention strategies.

Abstract

Natural resource potential plays a crucial role in supporting the development of the tourism sector in the global economic era. Natural resources such as beaches, mountains, forests, lakes, and biodiversity are key attractions that drive both domestic and international tourist visits. This article aims to analyze the potential of natural resources in advancing the tourism sector and their impact on community economic growth. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method with a literature study approach, collecting data from relevant journals, books, and other scientific sources. The study's findings indicate that optimal natural resource management can enhance the competitiveness of tourist destinations, create jobs, increase community income, and encourage regional development. However, challenges such as environmental damage, lack of infrastructure, and low public awareness of the importance of nature conservation remain obstacles to the development of sustainable tourism. Therefore, synergy between the government, communities, and the private sector is needed to manage natural resource potential sustainably so that the tourism sector can develop optimally amidst global economic competition.
