Abstract

This study was based on the phenomenon of the students who still got lower grade point average. Those were thought to give the effect to the students’ grade point average. The objective of this study was to find out the correlation between self confidence in college with GPA (Grade Point Average) either individually or together. In the field, students’ self confidence were categorised as very good, good,fair, poor, and very poor. This quantitative research used ex post facto approach. The subjects of the study were the students of Guidance and Counseling, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sriwijaya University, with total population 145 students and samples 105 students. Sampling technique used Proportional Random Sampling. Instruments in this study was a questionnaire enclosed using Likertscale which has been in the validity and realibility. Statistical data analysis techniques used Pearson Product Moment Correlation and double regression used Statistical Product Service Solution (SPSS) version 17.00. Based on the results of the study revealed there was a significant correlation between self confidence and GPA.

Abstract

Basic competencies that teachers of Guidance and Counseling should have is the ability to use and to operationalize the Guidance and Counseling media. This capability is required because in her/his activities, a teachers of Guidance and Counseling should be able to design, to use, and to evaluate the effectiveness of the use of media in counseling and guidance services. Therefore it is required for the training of making Guidance and Counseling media to help teachers Guidance and Counseling in providing services to learners. Based on the results of the training of Guidance and Counseling media using Microsoft Power Point, 80% of teachers of Guidance and Counseling has been able to make a power point slide about preventing drug abuse through task independent. Through this training, teachers of Guidance and Counseling are expected to be more aware and understand that the needs of the times are getting changing and evolving, so that competence of technology and information should be improved also.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah melihat keefektifan model layanan konseling kelompok menggunakan teknik psikodrama untuk meningkatkan kepercayaan diri diri siswa SMP N 1 Indralaya. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif yaitu Quasi Experiment. Untuk mengukur keefektifan model layanan konseling kelompok menggunakan teknik psikodrama untukmeningkatkan kepercayaan diri siswa kelas VII di SMP N 1 Indralaya. Desain yang digunakan yaitu peneliti adalah pre-experimental: one group pretest-posttest design. Hasil Uji wilcoxon juga menunjukkan Model konseling kelompok menggunakan teknik psikodrama yang dikembangkan efektif untuk meningkatkan self efficacy siswa sebesar 0,005, dikarenakan nilai 0,005 < 0,05, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa “Ha diterima”. Artnya , terdapat perbedaan antara pretestposttest, sehingga dapat disimpulkan pula bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan metode teknik psikodrama dalam konseling kelompok terhadap Self-Efficacy pada siswa kelas VIII SMP 01 Indralaya dengan Sig. (2-tailed) < 0,05. Disimpulkan bahwa model konseling kelompok menggunakan teknik psikodrama terbukti efektif untuk meningkatkan kepercayaan diri siswa SMP N 1 Indralaya.

Abstract

This study was based on the phenomenon of the presence of students who were so afraid to express their opinions and who copied task in the execution of independent tasks friend as one indication of the lack of independent learning. It was thought to have an influence on problem solving skills in students. The purposes of research were to describe the correlation between independent learning with problem solving skills. This research used quantitative research correlational techniques. The subjects were the students of Guidance and Counseling Education Faculty of Sriwijaya University with a sample of 105 students from the population of 145 students. The sample was selected by proportional random sampling technique. The instrument used in this study was Likert scale models with reability as big as 0.916 (independent learning), and 0.923 (problem solving skills). Data analyzed using descriptive statistics, product moment correlation.The study revealed that: (1) there was a significant correlation between academic self-concept and problem solving skills (r= 0,590), (2) there was a significant correlation between the independent learning and problem solving skills (r= 0,601), (3) there was a significant correlation between academic self-concept and independent learning with problem solving skills (R= 0,716). The research’s implications to guidance and counseling are used as a input to create a guidance and counseling service programs.

Abstract

Free association is one of the major challenges faced by teenagers today. Changes in the era and technological advances have made the boundaries of social norms increasingly blurred. Many teenagers are trapped in a free lifestyle due to lack of supervision from parents, peer influence, and uncontrolled use of social media. This has an impact on declining academic achievement, even causing them to drop out of school. In conditions like this, the role of Guidance and Counseling (BK) teachers is greatly needed. BK teachers are expected to be able to provide individual and group counseling services, deliver material on moral and ethical values, and work together with parents in guiding students. With the right approach from various parties, teenagers are expected to be able to protect themselves from the bad influence of association and grow into responsible and characterful individuals.

Abstract

Fenomena sosial berupa kenakalan pada remaja semakin meningkat dan menjadi perhatian penting dalam berbagai bidang kehidupan. Penyimpangan perilaku yang terjadi pada masa remaja ini melibatkan tindakan individu yang melanggar norma sosial, aturan hukum, serta nilai-nilai keagamaan yang dianut masyarakat. Penelitian ini memakai metode studi literatur dengan tujuan mengkaji secara komprehensif definisi, jenis-jenis, faktor-faktor penyebab, serta dampak psikologis dari kenakalan remaja terhadap individu. Dari hasil telaah tersebut, kenakalan remaja dapat diklasifikasikan menjadi tiga tipe, yaitu kenakalan ringan, kenakalan yang mengarah pada pelanggaran, dan kenakalan khusus. Faktor utama yang memengaruhi berasal dari aspek internal remaja, lingkungan keluarga, masyarakat sekitar, dan lingkungan sekolah. Dampak yang timbul akibat kenakalan ini sangat beragam, termasuk gangguan psikologis, kecemasan, menurunnya rasa percaya diri, dan isolasi sosial. Selain itu, kenakalan remaja juga memberikan efek negatif bagi keluarga dan masyarakat, baik dalam dimensi moral maupun sosial. Kata Kunci: kenakalan remaja, faktor, dampak psikologis

Abstract

Media sosial telah menjadi bagian penting dari kehidupan remaja karena menawarkan banyak keuntungan, seperti kemampuan untuk tetap terhubung dan mendapatkan akses ke informasi. Namun, penggunaan yang berlebihan dan tidak bijak dapat menyebabkan efek kesehatan mental seperti kecemasan, depresi, dan rendahnya harga diri. Data dikumpulkan dan dianalisis dari berbagai kajian dan sumber terkait dalam penelitian ini melalui teknik observasi literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor yang berkontribusi terhadap efek negatif media sosial termasuk paparan konten negatif, komunikasi sosial, perundungan siber, dan kurangnya interaksi sosial secara langsung. Oleh karena itu, remaja, orang tua, sekolah, dan platform media sosial harus bekerja sama untuk mengurangi efek negatif dan memaksimalkan manfaatnya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kecemasan dan stres mahasiswa akhir dalam menyusun skripsi di Prodi Bimbingan dan Konseling Universitas Sriwijaya. Proses menyusun skripsi membutuhkan ketekunan dan kemauan dalam diri mahasiswa. Sehingga dalam mengerjakan skripsi mahasiswa mampu konsisten mengerjakan skripsi tersebut sampai penelitian selesai. Namun, dalam proses menyusun skripsi mahasiswa sering mengalami tekanan yang dapat memicu terjadinya kecemasan dan stres. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuanitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah instrumen DASS-42 (Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale) yang telah diterjemahkan dalam Bahasa Indonesia. Hasil uji reliabilitas instrumen penelitian pada variabel kecemasan menunjukkan nilai Cronbach’s Alpha sebesar 0,869, sedangkan untuk variabel stres mendapatkan nilai Cronbach’s Alpha 0,931. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 82 mahasiswa akhir yang sedang menyusun skripsi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden mengalami tingkat kecemasan sedang (30,5%) dan stres normal (51,2%). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa sudah memiliki coping mechanism yang baik untuk mengelola stres, akan tetapi kecemasan tetap muncul akibat tuntutan akademik yang bersifat kompleks.

Abstract

Cyberbullying is an increasingly worrying social problem in the digital era, especially among adolescents and students. This study aims to examine the behavior patterns, trigger factors, and psychological impact of cyberbullying behavior. The method used was literature review. The samples used were journals published on googlescholar, researchgate and garuda (national reference garba). Article findings are limited from 2020-2025. The results of the research reviewed show that cyberbullying is mostly influenced by social conformity, where a person tends to follow along without thinking. In addition, external factors such as the rapid development of technology and weak social control also exacerbate this phenomenon. The impact can be very serious, ranging from decreased self-confidence, excessive anxiety, to psychological disorders such as depression and a tendency to isolate oneself. Furthermore, an understanding of the behavior patterns, triggering factors, and psychological impact can be the basis for designing more effective interventions to prevent and address cyberbullying in the future.

Abstract

Teenagers, as the future generation of the nation, are facing significant challenges due to the rapid flow of globalization, technological advancements, and the weakening of social control and character education. This study aims to identify the factors contributing to the prevalence of promiscuity among teenagers, analyze its impact on social skills, and propose preventive and educational solutions. Using a literature review method, data were gathered from various relevant scientific sources published in the last five years. The results of the study show that promiscuity has negative effects on the physical and mental health, as well as the social relationships of teenagers, including teenage pregnancies, drug abuse, sexual deviation, and the decline of social skills. The minimal role of the family, the weakness of moral education, low self-control, and inadequate sex education are the main factors exacerbating this issue. On the other hand, the involvement of parents, religious education, and community-based approaches have proven effective in building the moral resilience of teenagers. The implications of this study highlight the importance of synergy between families, schools, and communities in instilling character values and equipping teenagers with healthy social skills to face the challenges of the era.
