Abstract

This community service program aims to strengthen students’ digital literacy skills in addressing the challenges of 21st-century learning at SMA Labschool Palu. The program was implemented using a participatory and collaborative approach through socialization, training, and interactive mentoring activities that directly engaged students in the practical use of digital media for learning, particularly in history education. The program involved 35 students and was conducted over a four-day period. Evaluation instruments included documentation, interviews, observations, and pre-test and post-test assessments. Data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative techniques. The results indicate that the program was implemented effectively and had a positive impact on improving students’ digital literacy skills. This improvement is reflected in an increase in the average pre-test score from approximately 76.4 (moderate category) to approximately 85.2 (high category). In addition, students were able to produce high-quality digital history posters, demonstrating a deep understanding of the learning materials and effective application of digital literacy in history learning.

Abstract

The flap control system is a critical subsystem in aircraft that directly affects aerodynamic performance and flight safety. One of the key mechanical components in this system is the bellcrank, which functions to transmit and redirect loads from the actuator to the flap mechanism. In this study, structural optimization of bellcrank 3 in the flap control system of the N219 aircraft was performed using the Finite Element Method (FEM). Three design configurations were analyzed, namely the base model, optimization model 1 with thickness reduction, and optimization model 2 with the addition of holes in non-critical areas. Structural evaluation was conducted based on mass reduction, displacement, von Mises stress, and margin of safety (MS). The simulation results show that both optimization approaches successfully reduce structural mass compared to the base model. Optimization model 1 achieves the largest mass reduction but results in higher stress levels and lower margin of safety. Optimization model 2 provides a more balanced structural performance, with stress, displacement, and margin of safety values comparable to the base model while maintaining mass reduction. All analyzed configurations exhibit positive margin of safety values, indicating that the structures remain safe under the applied operational loads. Based on the overall structural performance, optimization model 2 is considered the most suitable design for application in the flap control system of the N219 aircraft.

Abstract

Mikroplastik merupakan polutan baru yang menjadi perhatian global karena keberadaannya yang persisten dan berpotensi menimbulkan dampak terhadap lingkungan perairan serta kesehatan manusia. Waduk Sermo di Kabupaten Kulon Progo merupakan perairan tawar yang dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber air baku, irigasi, perikanan, dan pariwisata, sehingga berpotensi terpapar pencemaran mikroplastik akibat aktivitas antropogenik di sekitarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi keberadaan, kelimpahan, karakteristik bentuk, ukuran, serta jenis polimer mikroplastik pada perairan Waduk Sermo. Pengambilan sampel air dilakukan pada tiga titik, yaitu inlet sungai, tengah waduk, dan inlet PDAM. Analisis mikroplastik dilakukan melalui pengamatan morfologi menggunakan mikroskop serta identifikasi jenis polimer menggunakan Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mikroplastik ditemukan pada seluruh titik pengamatan dengan kelimpahan tertinggi pada area inlet sungai. Mikroplastik berbentuk pellet merupakan bentuk yang paling dominan, diikuti oleh fiber, fragment, film, dan foam. Hasil analisis FTIR mengindikasikan bahwa mikroplastik yang ditemukan didominasi oleh polimer polyamide (nylon), yang diduga berasal dari aktivitas perikanan dan limbah domestik. Parameter kualitas air (suhu, pH, dan dissolved oxygen) berada dalam kisaran baku mutu kelas I sesuai PP No. 22 Tahun 2021, namun tidak menunjukkan hubungan yang signifikan dengan kelimpahan mikroplastik. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan informasi ilmiah mengenai kondisi pencemaran mikroplastik di Waduk Sermo dan dapat menjadi dasar dalam pengelolaan serta pengendalian pencemaran mikroplastik pada perairan tawar.

Abstract

Aircraft structures are subjected to repetitive cyclic loading that may induce fatigue damage and crack propagation, potentially compromising structural integrity and flight safety. This study examines the damage tolerance and durability of the rear back-up fitting, a critical structural component of the aircraft vertical tail. The analysis combines the Finite Element Method (FEM) to identify stress concentration regions with crack propagation simulations using D-CRACK software under representative operational loading spectra. The results indicate that the most critical locations occur at the fastener holes of PSE V03-A and PSE V03-B. PSE V03-A reaches a critical crack length of 287.646 mm after 328,801 flight cycles, while PSE V03-B reaches a critical crack length of 283.427 mm after 756,190 flight cycles. The longer fatigue life observed in PSE V03-B is primarily attributed to the presence of a stiffener, which effectively reduces stress concentration and slows crack growth rates. In accordance with FAR 25.571, the first inspection is recommended at 12,294 flight cycles for PSE V03-A and 15,000 flight cycles for PSE V03-B, followed by periodic inspections every 2,000 cycles. These results provide a quantitative basis for determining inspection intervals and support the development of a damage-tolerance-based maintenance manual to enhance structural reliability, operational safety, and long-term aircraft durability

Abstract

Dalam pengelasan FSW kecepatan putaran rotating tools merupakan salah satu faktor penting yang menentukan kualitas sambungan las. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan material aluminium AA 2024-T3 dengan kecepatan putar rotating tools sebesar 900 rpm, 1500 rpm dan 2280 rpm, serta kedalaman pin sebesar 3,5 mm dan kecepatan feed rate 18 mm/menit. Selanjutnya terhadap hasil sambungan las FSW dilakukan pengujian kekuatan tarik, pengujian kekerasan dan struktur mikro. Berdasarkan dari hasil pengujian sifat mekanik tersebut dapat dilihat bahwa kecepatan putaran rotating tools mempengaruhi nilai kekuatan tarik, nilai kekerasan dan struktur mikro dari sambungan las. Semakin tinggi putaran menyebabkan meningkatnya kekuatan tarik dan kekerasan. Namun peningkatan tersebut tidak berjalan kontinyu karena pada putaran yg tinggi perlu dilakukan penyesuaian terhadap feed rate pengumpanannya. Dalam penelitian ini hasil optimal diperoleh pada putaran rotating tools 1500 rpm dimana kekuatan tarik sebesar 236,93 MPa dan nilai kekerasannya sebesar 137,3 VHN. Dari pengamatan struktur mikro menunjukan adanya perubahan butiran pada area nugget zone akibat pengaruh putaran rotating tools. Kata kunci : aluminium 2024-T3; FSW; kekerasan; kekuatan tarik; struktur mikro.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of history teachers in shaping the character of students in class 2A at SMA Negeri 2 Palu and to identify the obstacles encountered in the process. The study uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method to understand the experiences of teachers and students regarding the effectiveness of history learning in instilling character values. Data collection techniques included observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, while data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that history learning was effective in shaping student character when the material was integrated with moral values such as discipline, responsibility, religiosity, nationalism, honesty, and social awareness. The strategies used by teachers included emphasizing discipline, setting an example, religious habits, group discussions, the use of visual media, and the proportional giving of rewards and punishments. The school's support through learning facilities also strengthened the process of internalizing values. Despite challenges in the form of environmental influences and the negative behavior of some students, history learning was proven to contribute significantly to shaping students' positive attitudes, responsibility, and national awareness.
