Abstract

Malnutrition or undernutrition is a condition of someone who has nutrients below the average number. Lack of nutrition is caused because a person lacks the intake of carbohydrates, proteins, fats, and vitamins that are needed by the body. A good nutritional status of children can meet growth and development, and good child health. This study was conducted to determine the relationship between feeding patterns and the nutritional status of toddlers. The method used in this study is a literature review of the results of the 2016-2022 research that has been published in electronic media such as Google Scholar, Pubmed, Science Direct, and Pro-Quest. The number of full-text articles searched that meet the inclusion criteria is 10. The results of this study found that feeding patterns are closely related to the nutritional status of toddlers. The conclusion of this study is the relationship between feeding patterns and the nutritional status of toddlers. It is expected for parents or caregivers to better understand and apply nutritious food for toddlers to grow and develop optimally.

Abstract

ABSTRACTVarious obstacles can be experienced by students in completing scientific papers. One of the obstacles that often occurs is the lack of students' ability to manage research reference sources. This activity is a training given to final year students at Program Studi Kebidanan Kediri. The theme of the activity is the use of the Zotero application to manage research reference sources. The purpose of this activity is to increase students' understanding of managing research reference sources using the Zotero application. Activities are held online. The results of the activity showed an increase in understanding about the use of this application and the majority of participants' understanding was in a good category, the impact of this activity was that 100% of participants were by managing references with a bibliography in their scientific writings. It is necessary to develop similar training for students to strengthen their scientific body to support the preparation of scientific papers. ABSTRAKBerbagai kendala dapat dialami  mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan karya tulis ilmiah. Salah satu kendala yang sering terjadi adalah kurangnya kemampuan mahasiswa dalam mengelola sumber rujukan penelitian. Kegiatan ini merupakan pelatihan yang diberikan kepada mahasiswa tingkat akhir di Program Studi Sarjana Terapan Kebidanan Kediri. Adapun tema kegiatannya adalah penggunaan aplikasi zotero untuk mengelola sumber rujukan penelitian. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa dalam mengelola sumber rujukan penelitian dengan menggunakan aplikasi zotero. Kegiatan diselenggarakan secara daring. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan terjadinya peningkatan pemahaman tentang penggunaan aplikasi ini dan mayoritas pemahaman peserta berada pada kategori baik, dampak dari kegiatan ini adalah 100% peserta sesuai dalam mengelola rujukan dengan daftar pustaka pada karya tulis ilmiahnya. Perlu  adanya  pengembangan pelatihan-pelatihan sejenis bagi mahasiswa untuk memperkuat batang tubuh keilmuan mereka guna menunjang penyusunan karya tulis ilmiahnya.

Abstract

Reproductive health issues are always an interesting topic of discussion among youth groups, including junior high school students. This community service activities aims to realize SMPIT Bina Insani Kediri as a school with a "gempi kespro" perspective, namely a school that has concern for reproductive health. Activities have started in 2021 with the formation of the Gempi Kespro Cadre and continued with training involving 35 students. This year (2022) is the 2nd year of implementing community service activities with the target of student mentoring activities by the Gempi Kespro Cadre to provide information and education on adolescent reproductive health issues under the supervision of the Gempi Kespro Advisor. Each cadre is given the opportunity to accompany 1 student by using the module, pocket book and Gempi Kespro comic, as a medium of information and education. From the activities carried out, it can be seen that there was an increase in participants' knowledge about adolescent reproductive health, including: reproductive organ anatomy, physiology, puberty and adolescent reproductive health problems. From the evaluation results, it was also found that 91.43% of cadres and 85.71% of participants stated that they were satisfied and benefited from participating in this activity. The majority of participants stated that the benefits obtained were in the form of: information about reproductive health (92.86%), the ability to communicate with friends (97.14%), having an interest in the world of health (74.29%). This activity is expected to be continued in the 3rd year with the target of strengthening school infrastructure with the concept of Gempi Kespro.Keywords: students, cadres, mentoring, reproductive health

Abstract

When the adolescent girls have their period they are required to manage, their menstrual need in some material such changing sanitary pads more often during menstruation, access disposal, toilet, soap, and water to clean themselves. However, there are many adolescent girls who still having a lack behavior in Menstrual Hygiene Management. This study was a quantitative research used pre experimental designed one group pretest posttest. The sample was selected by simple random sampling with 19 adolescents as a sample. The data were collected by checklist observation and analyzed with Wilcoxon. A Statistical test in this study was shown z count equals to 3.83 is greater than z It could be concluded that Ha was accepted so, there is an influence of game based education on adolescents girl behavior in Menstrual Hygiene Management or MHM.

Abstract

This program aims to empower Ragam Kader in realizing a “Berseri” Organic Village in the Gang Balong Environment, Kediri City. The method is mentoring introspective surveys by kader, community deliberations, education and assistance in the implementation of a serial organic village. The activity assessment indicators include three components of the assessment, namely components of hygiene, health and independence. The results of this program showed that the people could use waste into organic fertilizer, the environment was cleaner, comfortable (100%). The people do not suffer from ARI, infectious diseases, or malnourished. The people willing to take care of the plant, no people stated that they were willing to take care of the plants or were going to increase the variety of the plants, all people stated that they were continuing to cultivate the plants, no people stated that they were increasing their income. The conclusion of the activity is that various cadres are able to actively participate in realizing the serial village, the community feels that the environment is cleaner, organic waste can be used and the environment becomes more comfortable. Suggestions need to be increased efforts to increase the variety of plant types and efforts to increase community income

Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding means breastfeeding until six months of age with no other additives except vitamins and medicine. Exclusive breastfeeding coverage in Kediri District (34.30%) is still below the national target (45%). Low breastfeeding coverage rates are influenced by many factors, including the history of childbirth and early initiation of breastfeeding. To prevent problems due to the failure of exclusive breastfeeding, this study was conducted to determine the relationship between the history of childbirth and early initiation of breastfeeding with exclusive breastfeeding. The sample size of the research was 49 respondents. The sampling method for this study used simple random sampling. The statistical test of chi square is used for data analysis. The results showed that most respondents had a history of spontaneous labor (69.4%) and early initiation of breastfeeding (69.4%), and also most respondents provided exclusive breastfeeding (51%). Statistical tests showed that there was no correlation between history of childbirth and exclusive breastfeeding (P 0.051) and there was a correlation between and early initiation of breastfeeding and exclusive breastfeeding (P 0.010). Therefore, it has been found that mothers who received early initiation of breastfeeding measures had a greater chance of being able to provide exclusive breastfeeding. Through early initiation of breastfeeding, babies were able to learn to suckle and become accustomed to sucking on nipples, and also helping mothers to prepare their bodies to produce breast milk so they could start providing breast milk to their babies as early as possible and increasing the chances of successful exclusive breastfeeding.

Abstract

Picky eaters, selective in their food choices, pose a challenge for parents particularly mothers in meeting nutritional needs. This study explores the role of mothers in meeting the nutritional needs of picky eater children. Utilizing a descriptive approach, data was gathered from 30 mothers through interviews and questionnaires.. The results indicate that mothers play a crucial role, including being providers of healthy food, models of healthy eating behavior, nutrition educators, mealtime managers, and creators of a positive eating environment. A total of 60% of mothers have a good role as providers of healthy food and as mealtime managers, while 46.70% of mothers have a sufficient role as nutrition educators. Furthermore, 40% of mothers have a satisfactory role in creating a positive eating environment, and 53.40% of mothers have a less substantial role in the category of modeling healthy eating behavior. While most mothers have good roles, there is a deficiency in the role of being a model of healthy eating behavior. An intensive approach is needed to enhance mothers' understanding and involvement in setting an example of healthy eating behavior for their children. The mother's role is highly significant in addressing the nutritional challenges of picky eater children. The mother's role is not the only factor influencing the success of dealing with picky eaters; the support and participation of other family members are also significant. A holistic approach involving the entire family is required for optimal results. ABSTRAKAnak picky eater, merupakan anak yang selektif dalam memilih makanan, menjadi tantangan tersendiri bagi orang tua khususnya ibu dalam memenuhi kebutuhan nutrisi. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi peran ibu dalam memenuhi kebutuhan nutrisi anak picky eater.. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif, data dikumpulkan dari 30 ibu melalui wawancara dan pengisian kuesioner. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa ibu memiliki peran krusial, termasuk sebagai penyedia makanan sehat, model perilaku makan sehat, edukator nutrisi, pengelola waktu makan, dan pencipta lingkungan makan positif. Sebanyak 60% ibu memiliki peran dalam kategori baik sebagai penyedia makanan sehat dan sebagai pengelola waktu makan, sebesar 46.70% ibu memiliki peran cukup sebagai edukator nutrisi. Selanjutnya  40% ibu memiliki peran cukup dalam menciptakan lingkungan makan yang positif dan terdapat 53.40% ibu memiliki peran dalam kategori kurang sebagai model perilaku makan sehat. Walaupun sebagian besar ibu memiliki peran baik, terdapat kekurangan pada peran sebagai model perilaku makan sehat. Diperlukan pendekatan intensif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterlibatan ibu dalam memberikan contoh perilaku makan sehat kepada anak-anak. Peran ibu sangat penting dalam mengatasi tantangan pemenuhan kebutuhan nutrisi anak picky eater. Peran ibu bukan satu-satunya faktor yang memengaruhi keberhasilan mengatasi anak picky eater, melainkan juga dukungan dan partisipasi anggota keluarga lainnya. Pendekatan holistik yang melibatkan seluruh keluarga diperlukan untuk hasil optimal.

Abstract

Tumbuh lebih cepat merupakan salah satu keuntungan menyusui bayi secara eksklusif selama enam bulan pertama kehidupannya. Pemberian ASI eksklusif selama minimal enam bulan merupakan tindakan terbaik untuk menjaga kesehatan ibu dan anak. Meskipun kegunaan ASI eksklusif jelas tetapi ambisi menyusui masih kurang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana wilayah operasi Puskesmas Papar di Kabupaten Kediri, kaitannya dengan fungsi kader dan dukungan keluarga dengan pemberian ASI Eksklusif. Desain studi cross-sectional digunakan. Jumlah sampel adalah 127 sampel dengan teknik simple random sampling dan memenuhi kriteria inklusi yaitu ibu menyusui yang memiliki bayi usia 7-10 bulan. Instrument penelitian yang digunakan kuesioner. Teknik analisis statistik bivariat menggunakan Continuity Correction. Hasil penelitian peran kader dengan pemberian ASI Eksklusif menunjukkan bahwa p value diperoleh 0,017 <0,05 dengan keeratan 0,222 maka H0 ditolak. H0 ditolak berdasarkan temuan penelitian dukungan keluarga dengan pemberian ASI eksklusif diperoleh nilai p value 0,037<0,05 dan korelasi 0,198. Dengan demikian dapat dikatakan bahwa di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Papar Kabupaten Kediri terdapat keterkaitan antara fungsi kader dan pendampingan keluarga dengan pemberian ASI Eksklusif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disarankan bagi kader agar membantu dalam memotivasi ibu dengan memberikan Pengetahuan informasi ASI ekslusif dan bagi keluarga dengan memberikan dukungan penuh guna mendukung keberhasilan ASI eksklusif. Abstract

Optimal growth and development in infants can be initiated by providing proper nutrition. Exclusive breastfeeding is suitable nutrition for babies aged 0-6 months to avoid various things that hinder their growth and development. To face the breastfeeding period, a pregnant woman needs to be prepared for her knowledge and attitudes about exclusive breastfeeding. Health education provided by health workers requires appropriate media so that messages are more easily conveyed. Leaflets are easy media to develop. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of health education using leaflets on the knowledge and attitudes of primigravida mothers about exclusive breastfeeding. The study design used one group pretest–posttest, with a sample size of 24 primigravida mothers. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The results of statistical calculations using the Wilcoxon Match Pairs Test obtained a sig 0.000 for differences in mothers' knowledge and a sig 0.001 for differences in mothers' attitudes about exclusive breastfeeding before and after being given health education using leaflet media. These results indicate that the research hypothesis is accepted. The use of leaflet media in health education can increase mothers' knowledge and attitudes about exclusive breastfeeding. ABSTRAKTumbuh kembang yang optimal pada bayi dapat diawali dengan pemberian nutrisi yang benar. ASI ekslusif merupakan nutrisi sesuai bagi bayi usia 0-6 bulan agar terhindar dari berbagai hal yang menghambat tumbuh kembangnya. Untuk menghadapi masa menyusui maka seorang ibu hamil perlu dipersiapkan pengetahuan dan sikapnya tentang ASI ekslusif. Penyuluhan kesehatan yang diberikan oleh tenaga kesehatan memerlukan media yang sesuai sehingga pesan lebih mudah tersampaikan. Leaflet merupakan media yang mudah untuk dikembangkan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penyuluhan kesehatan dengan media leaflet terhadap pengetahuan dan sikap ibu primigravida tentang ASI ekslusif. Desain penelitian yang digunakan one group pretest-posttest, dengan besar sampel 24 ibu primigravida. Teknik sampling yang digunakan purposive sampling. Hasil perhitungan statistik dengan menggunakan Wilcoxon Macth Pairs Test diperoleh masing-masing nilai sig 0.000 untuk perbedaan pengetahuan ibu dan nilai sig 0.001 untuk perbedaan sikap ibu tentang ASI ekslusif sebelum dan sesudah diberikan penyuluhan kesehatan dengan media leaflet. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan hipótesis penelitian diterima. Penggunaan media leaflet dalam penyuluhan kesehatan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan maupun sikap ibu tentang ASI ekslusif.

Abstract

Wasting in toddlers is one of the indicators of malnutrition that can impact serious growth and development in children. Improving nutritional status toddlers need role-important parents, especially mothers, to give intake balanced nutrition. Research This is aimed at evaluating the impact of mentoring a mother toddler on nutritional status children and improving understanding of mother about maintenance nutrition for toddlers. Research This uses a pre-experimental approach with a pre- and post-test design. Intervention mentoring was done during one month against 30 mothers and toddlers in region X, which was implemented through education about giving food, nutrition, and care to children. Nutritional status data of the of the child measured through index weight according to height (BW/H) before and after intervention. In addition, understanding Mother about nutrition for toddlers was measured through test knowledge before and after assistance. Data analysis was carried out with a paired t-test. Before intervention, most nutritional status toddler is on the verge of wasting (approximately -2 SD). After intervention, there is significant improvement, with an average BB/TB approaching the mean value (p < 0.05). Understanding Mother about nutrition also increases significantly after the mentoring program (p < 0.05). Improvements in nutritional status in toddlers show that mentoring mothers is effective in increasing balance nutrition in children. Education customized practical with condition socio-economic local mother becomes key success intervention. An approach that takes into account source Power local help Mother for more easy application of knowledge gained. These results are consistent with a study previously shown that education nutrition based on community can improve nutritional status of children and skills of mothers in parenting. ABSTRAKWasting pada balita merupakan salah satu indikator malnutrisi yang dapat berdampak serius pada pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak. Peningkatan status gizi balita membutuhkan peran penting orang tua, terutama ibu, dalam memberikan asupan nutrisi yang seimbang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi dampak pendampingan ibu balita terhadap status gizi anak dan peningkatan pemahaman ibu mengenai perawatan gizi balita. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan pre-eksperimen dengan desain pre dan post-test. Intervensi pendampingan dilakukan selama satu bulan terhadap 30 ibu balita, yang dilaksanakan melalui edukasi tentang pemberian makanan bergizi dan perawatan anak. Data status gizi anak diukur melalui indeks berat badan menurut tinggi badan (BB/TB) sebelum dan sesudah intervensi. Selain itu, pemahaman ibu tentang gizi balita diukur melalui tes pengetahuan sebelum dan sesudah pendampingan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji t berpasangan. Sebelum intervensi, sebagian besar status gizi balita berada di ambang wasting (mendekati -2 SD). Setelah intervensi, terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan dengan rata-rata BB/TB mendekati nilai mean (p < 0,05). Pemahaman ibu tentang gizi juga meningkat signifikan setelah program pendampingan (p < 0,05). Perbaikan status gizi balita menunjukkan bahwa pendampingan ibu efektif dalam meningkatkan keseimbangan nutrisi anak. Edukasi praktis yang disesuaikan dengan kondisi sosial-ekonomi lokal ibu menjadi kunci keberhasilan intervensi. Pendekatan yang memperhitungkan sumber daya lokal membantu ibu untuk lebih mudah mengaplikasikan pengetahuan yang diperoleh. Pendampingan ibu balita terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan status gizi anak dan pemahaman ibu tentang perawatan gizi, terutama dalam konteks sosial-ekonomi yang terbatas.
