Abstract

This research explores the relationship between using TikTok as a learning medium and the Project Based Learning model with music learning outcomes. With the growing popularity of TikTok among children, this research aims to understand how the social media platform can be used effectively in an educational context, particularly in music learning. This study aims to determine the relationship between the use of TikTok and the project-based learning model with the learning outcomes of music art of grade IV students at SD Gugus Kemuning, Ngaliyan District. This research was a type of correlational research with a population of 306 people and a sample of 122 people taken using the quota sampling technique. Data on the use of TikTok and project-based learning models were collected through questionnaires, while data on music learning outcomes were obtained through practical tests. Data were analysed using regression analysis. The results of data analysis show that the relationship between the use of TikTok and project-based learning models with music learning outcomes is 0.408 with a coefficient of determination of 16.6%, meaning that there is a significant relationship between the use of TikTok and project-based learning models with music learning outcomes. This research provides evidence that social media, when used wisely, can be a tool or medium to support education and increase student engagement in music learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the contribution of Lembu Creation Dance in extracurricular dance activities at SD Negeri Gondangrawe to the development of students' kinesthetic intelligence. Lembu Creation Dance is a modern dance art rooted in Indonesian culture, depicting the symbolism of the ox as an animal with significant historical and spiritual value. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method based on case studies. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation of 15 students who participated in extracurricular dance activities. The results showed that Lembu Creation Dance significantly increased students' kinesthetic intelligence through structured exercises involving body coordination, balance, flexibility, and understanding of symbolic meaning in dance movements. In addition to physical benefits, this activity also contributes to psychological aspects, such as increased self-confidence, courage to appear in public, and social skills. Participation in dance activities also shapes students' character, such as discipline, patience, and perseverance. However, several obstacles affect the effectiveness of this program, including limited facilities, short practice time, and variations in students' interests and abilities. To optimize this program, it is necessary to provide adequate facilities, flexible schedules, and innovative learning approaches involving technology. This study confirms that Lembu Creative Dance is not only a medium for preserving local culture but also a holistic educational tool to develop the physical, mental, and emotional potential of students as a whole

Abstract

The lack of innovative technology-based learning media has an impact on student learning outcomes. This study aims to develop practical, feasible, effective mobile learning media for fourth-grade elementary school dance lessons that can improve student learning outcomes. The implication of this study is that the learning process will be more enjoyable due to the use of technology-based learning media. The learning method used in this study was the Research & Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model. This study involved subjects including 1 subject matter expert, 1 media expert, 1 teacher, and 36 fourth-grade students. The data collection techniques used were tests in the form of pre-tests and post-tests, non-test techniques in the form of observation, teacher interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. Meanwhile, the data analysis techniques used were normality tests (Shapiro Wilk), T-tests, and N-Gain tests. The results of the analysis of the feasibility of TERBATIK media were considered very feasible by subject matter experts at 100% and media experts at 93%. The response questionnaires distributed to teachers and students obtained results of 93.7% and 93.1% in the very positive category. The normality test results were normal with pretest results of 0.098 and posttest results of 0.096. The results of the media effectiveness analysis through the T-test showed a significance of 0.000, with a pretest average score of 55.6944 and a posttest average score of 87.3611. The N-Gain score obtained was 0.7313, indicating a high category. From these results, it can be concluded that the TERBATIK media is feasible, practical, effective, and can improve the learning outcomes of fourth-grade dance classes.

Abstract

Art learning on the exploration of primary and secondary colors in elementary schools is still dominated by conventional media. Learning in the Gatot Subroto cluster of Blora Regency has not yet utilized digital media integrated with an optimal learning model. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to analyze the effectiveness of the digital media IbisPaint X based on PjBL (Project-Based Learning) on learning outcomes. This study uses a quantitative research design with a true experimental approach. The research method involves a pretest-posttest control group design using cluster random sampling techniques. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and tests. Data analysis in this study uses inferential statistics to test the research hypotheses. The results show a difference in learning outcomes between the use of IbisPaint X based on the PjBL model and conventional media. The average N-gain scores for the experimental and control classes were 59.8% (moderately effective) and 32.1% (not effective), respectively. It is concluded that IbisPaint X media, based on the PjBL model, has an influence on students' learning outcomes in the exploration of primary and secondary colors.

Abstract

Semarangan style dance as an identity of Semarang City is essential to be introduced in order to preserve local culture through innovative teaching materials. This study aims to explore the characteristics of Semarangan style dance, identify strategies for enhancing students’ critical thinking skills related to local culture through digital encyclopedias, and examine the improvement of students’ critical thinking abilities. The research employs a qualitative descriptive phenomenological approach involving 30 elementary school students and teachers in Semarang City. Data were collected through observation, interviews, focus group discussions, and document analysis, and analyzed using interactive analysis techniques. The findings indicate that Semarangan style dance embodies geographical conditions, socio-cultural values, and the multi-ethnic character of Semarang society. Strategies to enhance critical thinking are implemented through stages of dance appreciation, practice, analysis, and evaluation. In conclusion, the use of digital encyclopedias is effective in improving students’ critical thinking skills in cognitive, kinesthetic, and character dimensions. The implications of this study suggest that Semarangan style dance-based digital learning media can serve as an effective model for integrating local cultural content into elementary education, supporting culturally responsive pedagogy and character education. Furthermore, this research provides a pedagogical framework for educators to utilize digital encyclopedias as innovative tools to foster critical thinking while strengthening students’ cultural identity. At a broader level, the findings contribute to efforts in local cultural conservation by positioning traditional dance as a dynamic learning resource within contemporary digital education contexts

Abstract

Limited use of interactive learning media in elementary schools had contributed to low student engagement and unsatisfactory music learning outcomes, particularly in learning about musical instruments diversity. Therefore, technology-based learning media appropriate to students’ characteristics were required. This study aims to develop and evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of a musical instruments diversity application to improve students of Grade IV music learning outcomes. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method adapted from the Borg and Gall model. The research subjects were Grade IV students at Protomulyo 1 Elementary School, Kendal Regency. Data were collected through interviews, observations, documentation, questionnaires, and tests, then analyzed using descriptive analysis, normality testing, N-gain score, and paired sample t-test. The results showed that the application was very feasible, with media expert validation of 96.8% and material expert validation of 95.3%. The paired sample t-test showed a significant value (2-tailed) of 0.000, and the N-gain score was 0.815, indicating high effectiveness. The study concluded that the developed application was feasible and effective in improving Grade IV students’ music learning outcomes, offering a practical model for integrating technology into elementary music education.
