Abstract

Economic growth and a more even distribution of income are needed to improve social welfare. One of the most important indicators for measuring the economic growth of a region is the growth value of the gross regional domestic product (GRDP). The size of the gross regional domestic product (GRDP) in Central Java can be predicted using a regression model. One of the estimation methods used in linear regression models is the LS method. The use of LS method becomes less appropriate if there is a violation of classical assumptions caused by outliers in the data. The M-estimation robust regression method can be used to solve outliers problem in the data. In this study, the M-estimation robust regression method was applied to the case of district or city GDP per capita data in Central Java Province in 2021. The weighting functions used were the Tukey bisquare weighting function and the Huber weighting function. The adjusted R-squared value and mean squared error (MSE) are used to determine the criteria for the best model. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that robust M-estimation regression with the Huber weighting function is the optimal parameter estimate for determining the best model. This is because the Huber weighting function has a higher adjusted R-squared value than the bisquare Tukey weighting function, and the Huber weighting function has a lower MSE than the bisquare Tukey weighting function

Abstract

This article explores the underlying factors contributing to early divorce in the city of Tasikmalaya, with a specific focus on couples who ended their marriages within the first five years. The aim of this study is to identify and analyze the main triggers of early divorce based on the perspectives of individuals who have directly experienced it. The research employs a qualitative method through in-depth interviews with three participants who went through early divorce. In addition, a literature review of academic and religious references supports the findings. The results indicate that early divorce is generally caused by couples’ unpreparedness in facing the challenges of married life, a lack of understanding regarding marital roles and responsibilities, poor communication, and financial pressures. A significant factor is the absence of sufficient knowledge, emotional maturity, and readiness prior to marriage, which increases the vulnerability to conflicts in the early years of marriage. This issue is often exacerbated by societal tendencies to prioritize the ceremonial aspects of weddings over the substantive preparation for family life. While Islam permits divorce under certain conditions, it remains an act that is disliked by Allah SWT. Therefore, to prevent early divorce, it is crucial to strengthen the foundations of marriage through comprehensive premarital education—emotionally, spiritually, and financially—in order to build a harmonious and resilient family characterized by sakinah, mawaddah, and rahmah.

Abstract

Environmental awareness among elementary students is essential for fostering sustainable behaviors from an early age. This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of local wisdom-based e-module on ecosystem concepts in enhancing environmental awareness among fifth-grade students. The research was conducted at a private elementary school in Bogor, Indonesia, involving 30 students through a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest model. The developed e-module integrated traditional ecological knowledge and local cultural values from the Bogor community, such as nature conservation, the sustainable use of resources, and ecosystem preservation. Results revealed a significant improvement in students’ environmental awareness, with an average pretest score of 52 and a posttest score of 58 out of a maximum of 64. The normalized gain (N-Gain) was 0.55, indicating a moderate level of effectiveness. Among six measured indicators, the highest gain was observed in “appreciating nature and ecosystems” (N-Gain = 0.73), while the lowest was in “participating in conservation efforts” (N-Gain = 0.20). These findings highlight the potential of integrating local wisdom into digital learning materials to strengthen character education and environmental values in primary education. Future research is recommended to incorporate community-based conservation activities for more comprehensive learning outcomes.

Abstract

Demographic changes and the acceleration of digital transformation have presented new challenges in leadership practices, especially in the healthcare sector of ASEAN countries. Generation Z, who grew up in a digital environment, brings different values and preferences to leadership styles. This study aims to identify the leadership model that best suits the characteristics of Gen Z in the context of healthcare, as well as analyze the contextual factors that influence it in the Southeast Asian region. This study uses a qualitative approach based on literature studies from various academic publications and empirical findings in ASEAN countries. Data are analyzed thematically to reveal the leadership patterns that are most relevant to the needs of Gen Z in the health sector. The study results show that transformational, participatory, and digital-based leadership styles are more effective for leading Gen Z healthcare workers. This generation rejects leadership models that are tightly controlled or micromanaged, and prefers leaders who support autonomy, collaboration, and innovation. Local cultural factors, such as traditional values and social collectivity, also reinforce the importance of adapting leadership styles to diverse cultural contexts. Leadership success is also greatly influenced by the leader's ability to bridge cross-generational differences and manage communication effectively. These findings contribute to the development of a generationally and contextually relevant leadership model, as well as serve as a reference in formulating HR development strategies and leadership training programs in multigenerational health organizations in Southeast Asia.

Abstract

Logistic regression (LR) is a model that associates the relationship between category-type response variables with quantitative or quantitative and qualitative predictor variables. The prediction of the LR model is in the form of probability. This research studied logistic regression (LR) models and Classification Trees in the case of ordinal response variable types. The data used in this research from The Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The research variables used are Human Development Index (HDI), gross enrollment rate for high school, percentage of poor people, open unemployment, and percentage of married age <17 years and some of the related predictor variables in Central Java Province in 2018. The HDI data is categorized into three levels, namely very high, high, and moderate. The results of the ordinal LR model show that there are three factors that influence the HDI, they are the gross enrollment rate for high school (GER), the percentage of the poor, and the proportion of women who married at the age of less than 17 years. Comparison of the accuracy LR model and Classification Tree in classification analysis shows that if the training data used is 60%-70% the LR model is better than Classification Tree, while the training data used is more than 70% and less than 86% then the Classification Tree model is better than LR.

Abstract

Hyperbilirubinemia is a problem that often occurs in newborns. The cause of hyperbilirubinemia is multifactorial including maternal, perinatal or environmental factors that can be risk factors in newborns. Hyperbilirubinemia that occurs in infants is usually due to high bilirubin levels. High bilirubin can be a poison that causes brain damage so hyperbilirubinemia must be treated appropriately so as not to cause chronic complications. This study aims to identify significant factors affecting hyperbilirubinemia in infants at Santo Joseph Mother and Child Hospital, North Jakarta using binary logistic regression. This research was conducted at Santo Joseph Mother and Child Hospital for the first time. Factors that are thought to influence are gestational age, birth weight, childbirth, breastfeeding, and infection status. The results showed that the significant factors affecting hyperbilirubinemia in infants were the process of childbirth, milk feeding and infection status. Based on the odds ratio value for each variable, it can be concluded that babies with abnormal birth processes have a risk of hyperbilirubinemia of 2.9628 times greater than babies with normal births. Meanwhile, formula-fed infants have a risk of hyperbilirubinemia of 4.2854 times less than breastfed babies. Furthermore, infants affected by infection have a risk of developing hyperbilirubinemia of 5.5752 times greater than infants who do not get infection.

Abstract

This research examines the saving intentions of millennials in Bandung City toward Islamic banking by applying a descriptive quantitative method. The study targets individuals aged 29–44 who have not yet opened an Islamic bank account and are distributed across 30 districts in Bandung. The main purpose is to analyze how lifestyle patterns, financial literacy, and demographic characteristics influence their willingness to save in Islamic banks. The analysis shows that female millennials between 24–28 years old express a stronger intention to save compared to other groups. Educational background, whether high school or university level, presents no significant differences in saving interest. By contrast, occupational status provides clearer distinctions: male civil servants and female employees in the private sector exhibit higher levels of intention. Income data reveal that most respondents earn between IDR 2–5 million monthly, placing them in the lower-middle income bracket. The findings also suggest that saving preferences are shaped more by individual information seeking rather than by family expectations or peer influence. Although their comprehension of Islamic financial principles is relatively limited reducing their level of trust, millennials demonstrate considerable digital literacy and confidence in using Islamic banking services. Overall, the study concludes that millennials make financial choices in a rational and independent manner but still require more accessible digital financial education. To capture this market, Islamic banks are advised to integrate Islamic values with digital literacy initiatives and foster closer engagement with millennial communities to build long-term trust and loyalty.
