Abstract

Educators' understanding of cognitive and non-cognitive diagnostic assessment instruments impacts the achievement of student competencies. To overcome this problem, cognitive and non-cognitive diagnostic assessment instruments are needed to identify learning needs, learning styles, and the potential and challenges of each student. This study aims to produce valid and practical cognitive and non-cognitive diagnostic assessment instruments in differentiated learning. This study is a type of Research and Development (R&D) research, its development is carried out referring to the theory of Borg & Gall. The sample in this study consisted of class IV A with 22 students and class IV B with 22 students at SDN 2 Sumur, Ketapang District, South Lampung Regency. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The data analysis technique used was the validity and practicality test of the cognitive and non-cognitive diagnostic assessment instruments. The results of the validation test of evaluation experts, material experts, and language experts on the cognitive and non-cognitive diagnostic assessment instruments obtained an average score of 82% with very valid criteria. The results of the practicality test of students' responses to the cognitive and non-cognitive diagnostic assessment instruments developed were stated to be practical with an average value of 89% and categorized as very practical. Conclusions: (1) The cognitive and non-cognitive diagnostic assessment instruments were proven to be valid in differentiation learning, and (2) The cognitive and non-cognitive diagnostic assessment instruments were proven to be practical in differentiation learning.

Abstract

This study aims to develop E-LKPD teaching materials based on project-based learning by utilizing Thunkable as a learning media for science material on metamorphosis, with a focus on improving critical thinking skills among third-grade elementary school students. This research is a type of development research (Research and Development). The research process includes data collection through validity sheets and practicality sheets in the form of questionnaires containing feedback from teachers and students. The validation team consists of three experts: a subject matter expert, a language expert, and a media expert. The validation results indicate that the feasibility of the E-LKPD is in the very good category, with scores of 96.0% from the media expert, 89.0% from the language expert, and 90.0% from the science subject expert. Student responses to the use of E-LKPD reached 91.5%, while teacher responses reached 96%, both of which fall into the very suitable category. The average effectiveness of using E-LKPD is 89.6%, indicating that the product meets the expected criteria. The results of this study prove that the project-based learning-based E-LKPD is feasible to use in learning and effective in enhancing the critical thinking skills of third-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of instructional video media on critical thinking skills. The population of this study were all seventh grade students at SMPN 25 Bandar Lampung. The research design used in this study is a quasi-experimental design in the form of a non-equivalent control group design. The sample in this study were students from 2 classes, namely class VII C and VII D, which were selected using cluster random sampling technique. The research instrument used a pretest-posttest research sheet. Data on the average value of pretest-posttest, n-gain as a result of increasing students' critical thinking skills were analyzed by statistical tests, namely the Mann Whitney test. The results showed that students' critical thinking skills were in the "Medium" category with n- gain in the experimental class of 0.66 and students' critical thinking skills in the "Medium" category with the n-gain value in the control class lower than the experimental class, which was 0.43. From the statement above, it can be concluded that the results of the average data analysis of students' critical thinking skills between the experimental class and the control class were significantly different. This is because video media is able to display all phenomena, especially environmental pollution that occurs in detail into its types so that it can increase students' understanding of concepts which then affect students' critical thinking skills. Abstract

This study aims to create a student worksheet based on the Problem-based Learning (PBL) model in science learning, test its feasibility, and identify student and teacher responses to the implementation of the student worksheet. The instruments were validation sheets and student and teacher response questionnaires. The research data were descriptively and qualitatively analyzed based on the criteria score. Material expert validation obtained an average of 0.8409 with "high" criteria. An average of 0.8036 with "high" criteria was obtained for language expert validation. Media expert validation obtained an average of 0.7522 with "moderately high" criteria. According to the findings of the field trial, the average response of teachers was 86% with the criteria "excellent," and the average response of students was 85% with the criteria "excellent and highly suitable." Furthermore, the n-gain value obtained was 0.7 in the "moderate" category. As a result, the developed student worksheet can be used to improve students' critical thinking skills. Thus, teachers are advised to create student worksheets based on other materials.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and examine the effectiveness of an animated video based on the Discovery Learning model to improve Indonesian language learning outcomes among third-grade students at UPTD SDN 2 Adijaya. The research employed the 4D development model, consisting of the Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate stages. A total of 30 students participated in the study. The problem identified in the classroom was the students’ low understanding of the use of capital letters, which was attributed to the less engaging conventional teaching methods. To address this issue, a Discovery Learning-based animated video was developed as a learning medium. The product was validated by content, language, and media experts, who found it feasible for classroom use with several revisions to improve visual clarity and language accuracy. Trial results showed an improvement in student learning outcomes and engagement during the learning process. Therefore, the Discovery Learning-based animated video proved to be effective in supporting students’ understanding of Indonesian language material, particularly the correct use of capital letters, and serves as an innovative and engaging learning media alternative for third-grade primary school students

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) dengan materi makanan sehat dan bergizi untuk siswa kelas 5 SD, menggunakan metode Discovery Learning. Penelitian ini dilakukan karna permasalahan rendahnya hasil belajar siswa akibat keterbatasan bahan ajar kontekstual dan kurangnya keterlibatan aktif siswa. Metode ini mendorong siswa untuk lebih aktif dalam eksplorasi dan penemuan pengetahuan secara mandiri melalui eksperimen dan diskusi kelompok. Penelitian menggunakan model Research and Development (R&D) yang meliputi analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Hasil validasi ahli materi, media, dan bahasa menunjukkan kelayakan tinggi (rata-rata 0.89). Uji kepraktisan oleh guru dan siswa mencapai 92% dan 88%, sementara efektivitasnya tercermin dari peningkatan N-Gain sebesar 0,79 (kategori tinggi). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan LKPD yang dikembangkan valid dan praktis, serta efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, tercermin dari peningkatan nilai rata-rata dan persentase ketuntasan belajar setelah implementasi. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya inovasi bahan ajar berbasis Discovery Learning dalam mendukung pemahaman konsep dan keterampilan berpikir ilmiah siswa. LKPD ini dapat dijadikan alternatif bahan ajar inovatif dalam pembelajaran IPA di sekolah dasar. LKPD berbasis Discovery Learning ini berhasil meningkatkan partisipasi siswa, pemahaman materi, motivasi, dan hasil belajar secara signifikan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar melalui penggunaan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) pada pembelajaran IPA, khususnya materi suhu dan kalor. Permasalahan yang ditemukan di lapangan adalah rendahnya keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa akibat pendekatan pembelajaran yang masih bersifat pasif dan kurang melibatkan siswa dalam proses eksploratif. Untuk menjawab tantangan tersebut, dikembangkan LKPD berbasis inkuiri terbimbing yang memuat aktivitas pengamatan, pengumpulan data, analisis, dan penarikan kesimpulan secara sistematis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan model ADDIE,yang mencakup tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Implementasi dilakukan di kelas V SDNegeri dengan 28 siswa sebagai subjek. Hasil pretest dan posttest menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata nilai dari 56,8 menjadi 83,4. Uji statistik menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan (p < 0,05), dengan nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,71 yang tergolong dalam kategori tinggi. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan LKPD berbasis inkuiri pada materi suhu dan kalor efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. LKPD menjadi sarana belajar aktif yang mendorongsiswa untuk memahami konsep secara mendalam dan menerapkannya dalam konteks kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

One of the scientific approach activities is asking questions but not every student is actively asking questionswhich can trigger curiosity about learning. This study aims to measure the making questions ability of fifth-grade elementary school students in the city of Bandar Lampung on the subject matter of respiratory organsand functions in animals and humans. This descriptive survey research used a multistage cluster samplingarea combined with the stratification. The design of this research is cross-sectional. The type of data in thisstudy is quantitative data obtained by measuring the ability of students in making questions and the resultswill be interpreted in the form of a percentage which is then categorized based on the category of students'ability in making questions. The making questions ability of students in this study can be measured accordingto the indicators of assessing the quality of the questions. The results of the calculation of the data that havebeen obtained show that the ability of grade V elementary school students in making questions is in highcategory with a final percentage of 70.97%. The results of quality of student questions based on 4 indicatorsobtained the percentage from the highest to the lowest, which is 24.6% on the focus indicator, 17.1% onthe grammar indicator, 15.6% on the relevance indicator, and 13.6% on the cognitive level indicator. Thecognitive level is influenced by age and level of education, grammar is influenced by the limited vocabularyfactor that is owned. It can be concluded that the difficult to arrange questions with good and correctvocabulary relevance with influenced of students' inability to think more critically and deeply so it is difficultfor them to make questions that are relevant to everyday life or other fields of science and the focus isinfluenced by interesting learning media and interactive learning methods

Abstract

Education is a means of forming a generation that is intelligent and has character. This means that education plays an important role in creating and improving the quality of human resources. However, in reality, the FKIP Information Technology Education Study Program does not have adequate facilities, especially in terms of classrooms. This results in lecturers and students having to optimize online learning by using Unila's platforms, namely VClass, Zoom, and g-meet, including WhatsApp Group. This study aims to: (1) Analyze the recognition of online learning in the Information Technology Education Study Program; (2) Analyze the type of online learning applied in the Information Technology Education Study Program; and (3) Analyze the factors that cause lecturers and students to not optimally use online learning. The design of this study is qualitative descriptive. The population in the study is students of the Information Technology Education Study Program (PTI) FKIP University of Lampung. The sample in this study is PTI students who take online courses for the 2023-2024 Academic Year. Answering the research question, qualitative data was analyzed using descriptive statistics. The data from the questionnaire is presented as frequency and percentage. Data from the interview are described. The findings obtained from the questionnaire were then analyzed with interview data. Based on the results of the research, it is concluded that: (1) The recognition of online learning in the Information Technology Education Study Program has not been implemented optimally; (2) The type of online learning applied in the Information Technology Education Study Program is not optimal because there is no overall awareness of lecturers and students to carry out online learning; (3) The factors that cause lecturers and students to not optimally use online learning are that lecturers have not prepared learning tools as a whole and students are less independent in carrying out online learning.Kata kunci: Pembelajaran Online, Pendidikan Teknologi Informasi, Rekognisi

Abstract

Creative thinking ability is one of the High Order Thinking Skill (HOTS). This ability is an important part of developing learning in the 21st century based on technological advances, especially communication and information technology. IPAS is one of the new subjects contained in the Merdeka curriculum, providing teachers with the opportunity to develop teaching materials to answer the challenges of changing the 21st century learning mindset. One of the teaching materials developed is Discovery Learning-based LKPD which aims to improve students' creative thinking skills. The purpose of this study was to determine the process of developing Discovery Learning-based LKPD IPAS. The development model used is a modified 4D model, while the research subjects are fourth grade students of SDN 02 Tambahrejo Pringsewu. From the results of the validity and effectiveness tests conducted, it was found that the Discovery Learning-based IPAS LKPD was valid and effective for use in improving students' creative thinking skills.
