Abstract

In the 2013 curriculum (K-13) there was a paradigm shift in learning that initially centered on the teacher (teacher-centered) to be centered on students (student-centered). Based on the results of observations made to teachers in the Cagak District Subang District, West Java, the application of the scientific approach is not maximally carried out, this is because according to the narrative of the teachers in the area the use of science in the learning process takes a long time. To facilitate the steps of the scientific approach carried out by teachers in the Subang District of West Java and the material learned is easily understood by students, ICT will be very helpful, at the stage of identifying students can use the internet to find information and then formulate a problem, compile a problem, testing hypotheses, collecting data, processing, and analyzing data can be easily carried out with the help of internet media, then at the stage of compiling reports students can use laptops to store the results of material that has been sought and studied, at the presentation stage students can use PowerPoint media to makes it easy to present the material so that the material presented is more interesting

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the ability to write persuasive speech text and learning motivation of junior high school students whose learning uses a scientific approach assisted by powtoon media compared to those using a scientific approach, to determine whether there is a relationship between learning motivation and the ability to write persuasive speech text of junior high school students, and to Knowing student performance in implementing the scientific approach, solving knowledge questions, and completing practical assignments to write persuasive speech texts. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental type nonequivalent control group design. The sample in this study were 50 junior high school students. Based on the research data, it was found that the experimental class was better at writing persuasive speech texts than the control class. In the association test data between the ability to write persuasive speech text and learning motivation, it turns out that in the experimental class the Sig value is 0.058> 0.05 and in the control class the sig value is 0.357> 0.05. These results mean that there is no association between the ability to write persuasive speech texts and learning motivation in either the experimental class or the control class. The performance of students when implementing the scientific approach assisted by the powtoon media was 86.66%. These results meant that the student's performance was very good. The student's performance in his ability to write persuasive speech texts in the experimental class was in the good category, while in the control class it was in the poor category. AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian yaitu untuk mengetahui kemampuan menulis teks pidato persuasif dan motivasi belajar siswa SMP yang pembelajarannya menggunakan pendekatan saintifik dengan bantuan media Powtoon dibandingkan dengan yang menggunakan pendekatan saintifik, untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya hubungan antara motivasi belajar dengan kemampuan menulis teks pidato  persuasif siswa SMP, dan untuk mengetahui kinerja siswa dalam implementasi pendekatan saintifik, menyelesaikan soal-soal pengetahuan, dan menyelesaikan tugas praktik menulis teks pidato persuasif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah quasi eksperimen dengan tipe nonequivalent control group design. Sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu siswa SMP yang berjumlah 50 orang. Berdasarkan data penelitian diperoleh hasil bahwa kelas eksperimen lebih baik dalam menulis teks pidato persuasif dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Pada data uji asosiasi antara kemampuan menulis teks pidato persuasif dengan motivasi berlajar ternyata pada kelas eksperimen diperoleh nilai Sig 0,058> 0,05 dan di kelas kontrol diperoleh nilai  Sig 0,357 > 0,05. Hasil tersebut bermakna bahwa tidak ada asosiasi antara kemampuan menulis teks pidato persuasif dan motivasi belajar baik di kelas eksperimen ataupun kelas kontrol. Kinerja siswa pada saat mengimplementasikan pendekatan saintifik dengan bantuan media powtoon diperoleh hasil 86,66 % hasil tersebut bermakna bahwa kinerja siswa sangat baik. Adapun kinerja siswa dalam kemampuannya dalam menulis teks pidato persuasif di kelas eksperimen yaitu ada dalam kategori baik, sedangkan di kelas kontrol yaitu dalam kategori kurang.

Abstract

The background of this research was based on the intereset in reviwing the langguange style in the poem using a semiotic approach. The poem a analyzed titeld “DEBU” by Abdul Wachid B.S. The purposes of this research is; 1) knowing the use of language styles of the poem analyzed, 2) knowing the meaning and marker using a semiotic approach. 3) Describe the contents of the poem analayzed. In this research using a qualitative descriptive method, namely the method used to describe the analysis of the object research by paying anttention to researchers as a key instrument in the data collection. In addition, this research uses a semiotic approach. The subjects of this study were “DEBU” poem by Abdul Wachid B.S. The results of this research can be seen from the use of language styles in these poem using several varied language and styles ranging from allegory, antitesis, metaphors, simile, repetition, and hyperbole. In addition, the semiotics approach is used to provide signifier and signified to find out the meaning contained in the phrase. The outline the meaning contained in the poem is; lifelike in the world only temporarily there is no need to be arrogant and humans also live only bring good attitude. The poem has a romantic religious friend with a bland of beautiful phrases. The topic in this research was able to be a motivation to make a literary work of poetry.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fakta bahwa kesulitan yang dihadapi siswa ketika menuangkan ide dan gagasan dalam memproduksi teks cerpen dengan menentukan struktur dan kebahasaan teks cerpen. Lebih banyak siswa yang belum mengerti dibandingkan siswa yang sudah paham mengenai cara menulis teks cerpen. Maka penulis mengujicobakan metode estafet writing sebagai solusi untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut. Metode estafet writing merupakan metode pembelajaran yang melibatkan siswa belajar aktif secara bersama-sama, berkelompok maupun individu untuk menghasilkan sebuah teks cerpen. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui 1) apakah metode estafet writing dapat menumbuhkan kemahiran menulis teks cerpen 2) apakah terdapat perbedaan sebelum atau setelah menggunakan metode estafet writing. Tujuan peneliti untuk keterampilan menulis ini untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam pembelajaran menulis teks cerpen. Metode yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen tipe one-group pretest-posttest design. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI dengan jumlah 25 siswa. Rata-rata test pretest siswa sebesar 63,08 dan rata-rata hasil posttest sebesar 79,96. Berdasarkan hasil analisis tersebut terlihat perbedaan sebelum dan setelah diberikan perlakuan. Kesimpulannya pengunaan metode estafet writing efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis teks cerpen.

Abstract

In the development of this era, literary works are easier to enter in the lives of literary connoisseurs, literary works that are often encountered in society, one of which is short stories or we often call short stories. A short story but has a very important meaning in life, has moral and social values related to today's era. As in the short story "The True Man" by Putu Wijaya, which has a high imagination, and the process of telling a coherent story content needs to be given an appropriate assessment by familiar characters, namely a mother and her daughter who are conducting a question and answer process about the life of a real man. in this day and age. This study aims to analyze the moral and social values in the short story of the True Man by Putu Wijaya. This research can be useful for readers and can improve the ability to analyze the moral and social values contained in the short story. The method in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. The data source is taken from one of Hardiyanti Nurill's blogs on the Internet. The data were analyzed using a sociology of literature approach, namely analyzing and interpreting moral and social values. The results of the analysis found the moral and social values of the short story for a real man, namely, the moral value contained in Putu Wijaya's short story for a real man is in the part when the mother explains what a real man looks like to her teenage daughter. The social value contained in the short story is in the section where a young woman asks her mother about what a real man is like.

Abstract

The main problem in this research is the low ability of students to write poetry in class X. To overcome the problem is offered one of the learning method that is project based learning method. The purpose of this research is to know the implementation of learning to write poetry by using project based learning method in class X to know the result of the students about learning to write poetry before and after being treated by using project based learning method. Research conducted in the field using experimental research methods. The data processing using SPSS. The instruments prepared are the observation and test sheets. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of learning to write poetry in class X by using project based learning method is in accordance with the stages of learning planned. The result of learning to write poetry using project based learning method looks good because it can be seen from the average initial test score is 47.2 and final test 61,4 so that there is 36% improvement from initial test to final test. This means that learning poetry writing is effectively applied by using problem based learning method.

Abstract

Song is part of the music in the form of the text that is sung. Song lyrics are also an inspiration that comes from thoughts and feelings accompanied by tones and rhythms. There is a meaning or message that musicians convey through the lyrics of the songs they make. Likewise with the song lyrics See, Listen, Feel from Sheila On 7. Therefore, this research was conducted to find out the meaning contained in this song by using a descriptive method which was carried out by describing each of the lyrics, then studied using a semiotic approach so that You can interpret it by giving a signifier and signified so that the meaning in this song can be known. This research was conducted in several steps, namely: (1) choosing a song, (2) analyzing the song by dividing the lyrics into several verses, (3) analyzing the verse with Saussure's semiotic theory, (4) determining the signifier and signified ), and (5) describe the results. The results of this study which became the signifier were the lyrics of the song "See, hear, feel" and the sign (signified) was the result of the meaning of the lyrics.

Abstract

Researchers assess children's language acquisition occurs in the environment where the child lives. A child who grows up in a talkative family will influence the child's speech development. In this case, the aim of the research was to find out how to pronounce children aged 2.5 years from the phonological aspect. This research was conducted for 7 days using descriptive qualitative methods. The data obtained were obtained from direct observation, daily notes, and interviews with the mother. The data obtained came from F, the second son of the pair N and B. The findings in this study were that F was able to pronounce vowels clearly. Meanwhile, the consonant letter F still has difficulty pronouncing it and replacing it with another letter. For example, F still pronounces the letter [S] with 'tc'. This happens because the tool for saying F is not yet mature and is not yet familiar with the letter in question.

Abstract

The study is based on the unique nature of each creation of lyrics that contain both intrinsic and extrinsic elements in each line. The goal of this research isn't to analyze the language style on a dazed lyric antology book by icsan scooter. Researchers analyze the lyrics using a descriptive approach. The source of the data used by researchers is that of 5 lyrics from a total of 60 lyrics. Researchers focused 6 figures of speech on the study: metaphor, personification, hyperbole, anafora, epistrophur and asonansi. Research data is summed up: (1) lyrics with the most grammatical usage are those that are entitled confused with a total of 25 different language styles. The lyrics with the least grammatical usage are those titled shankara with a total of 9 different language styles. (2) the metaphorical style is 11, as many as 10 personified, 11 of hyperbole, anafora as many as 8, epistrofa as 4, and 23 as of assonance. With a total of 67 figures of speech on the five lyrics that have been analyzed.

Abstract

The use of figure of speech in poetry is very important, because poetry is a work that contains beauty. Language style in poetry makes language in poetry different from literature in general. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing what comparative figures are contained in one of Juniarso Ridwan's poems entitled "Rock Climbing". This research was conducted using descriptive qualitative methods and then examined using a stylistic study. Where the process of studying this poetry uses text analysis techniques by: reading poetry, understanding every meaning in the poem, finding and interpreting words that contain figure of speech, connecting with types of figure of speech and describing it. From the research that has been done, it is concluded that in the poem entitled "Rock Climbing" by Juniarso Ridwan, almost every line contains comparative figures, including personification, synesthesia, symbolic and simile figures.
