Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the effect of the Teams Games Tournament model on conceptual understanding. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Teams Games Tournament learning model on conceptual understanding. This study uses the systematic literature review (SLR) method, employing a review procedure focused on selected reporting items for systematic review. The method involves reviewing various journal articles on Google Scholar from 2019 to 2025, using the keywords “Teams Games Tournament learning model” and “conceptual understanding ability.” A total of 985 articles were identified, with 26 main articles selected for use. The review process consisted of three stages: Planning, Conducting, and Reporting. The results of this study indicate that the Teams Games Tournament learning model has an impact on conceptual understanding ability. These findings suggest that the Teams Games Tournament learning model is effective in enhancing students' conceptual understanding ability. It is hoped that future researchers will not limit their focus to Google Scholar alone.

Abstract

This study investigates the efficacy of mobile media in enhancing students' paragraph writing skills, motivation, and behavioural involvement. This research seeks to reconcile traditional pedagogical approaches with students' digital practices amid the swift incorporation of technological devices in education. A quasi-experimental approach comprised two groups: an experimental group employing mobile-based media and a control group using conventional methods. Data were gathered via writing evaluations, motivating surveys, and classroom observations. The findings indicate that students in the experimental group exhibited considerably enhanced writing performance compared to the control group. Furthermore, their motivation and behavioural involvement are heightened owing to mobile media's interactive and accessible characteristics. The results indicate that mobile media effectively enhances student-centred learning and encourages active engagement in writing activities. This study emphasizes mobile media's capacity to revolutionize writing instruction and stimulate future pedagogical advancements.

Abstract

The achievement of the level of welfare of a region or country can be seen from the level of human development as measured by the Human Development Index (HDI). West Sumatra is one of the provinces with HDI achievements above the national average. However, there are still regencies/cities in West Sumatra Province that have HDI achievements below the national average and HDI achievements in West Sumatra Province Regencies/Cities have changed in 2017-2021. Therefore, in this study, spatial analysis of panel data was used. The aim of this research is to find out the general description of the HDI of West Sumatra Province, obtain a panel data spatial regression model and obtain variables that significantly influence on HDI in West Sumatra Province 2017─2021because differences in HDI achievement were suspected to have influences from areas that were side by side and the area was observed more than once. The model formed from this analysis using the rook contigutiy weighting function is Random Effect Spatial Autoregressive because the spatial interactions formed in human development index data in West Sumatra Province are real at lag. This model is a suitable model based on panel spatial model selection and has an R2 value of 92.94%. Analysis of human development index data in regencies/cities in West Sumatra Province using spatial regression panel data obtained results that expectations of school length (X1), average length of schooling (X2), and population density (X3) significantly directly influenced the human development index in regencies/cities in West Sumatra Province.

Abstract

Problem-solving ability is an essential competency in mathematics learning because it forms the foundation for developing critical, logical, and innovative thinking skills. Therefore, research on its development is of great importance. This study aims to systematically describe research trends in the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model to improve students’ mathematical problem-solving skills. The approach used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. A total of 25 articles that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria were analyzed based on publication year, educational level, research subjects, and research methods. The findings show that publications from 2021 to 2025 fluctuate, with 2 (8%), 7 (28%), 5 (20%), 8 (32%), and 3 (12%) articles, respectively. Based on the educational level, 9 (36%) studies were conducted at the elementary level, 10 (40%) at the junior high school level, 5 (20%) at the senior high school/vocational level, and 1 (4%) at the university level. Regarding research subjects, 24 (96%) articles involved students and 1 (4%) involved university students. In terms of methodology, quantitative research was more dominant than qualitative, with 17 (68%) using quantitative approaches and 8 (32%) using qualitative ones. Overall, the SLR results indicate that studies on the implementation of the PBL model in mathematical problem-solving are predominantly quantitative, mostly conducted at the elementary and junior high school levels, and exhibit fluctuating publication trends from 2021 to 2025. Future research is recommended to expand educational levels, diversify research subjects, and combine various methodological approaches for more comprehensive findings.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pola kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) matematika berdasarkan kriteria Watson melalui systematic literature review. Kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi dalam matematika menjadi fokus utama dalam pendidikan abad 21, namun siswa masih mengalami kesulitan signifikan dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal HOTS. Penelitian menggunakan metode systematic literature review dengan menganalisis 25 artikel ilmiah yang diterbitkan dalam rentang 2019-2024 dari database Scopus, Google Scholar, dan ERIC. Kriteria Watson yang digunakan meliputi kesalahan data tidak tepat, prosedur tidak tepat, data hilang, kesimpulan tidak tepat, konflik level respon, manipulasi tidak langsung, masalah hierarki keterampilan, dan selain ketujuh kategori. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola kesalahan paling dominan adalah kesalahan prosedur tidak tepat (35,2%), diikuti kesalahan data tidak tepat (28,7%), dan masalah hierarki keterampilan (18,9%). Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa siswa memiliki pemahaman konseptual yang lemah dan kurang mampu mengaplikasikan prosedur yang tepat dalam konteks soal HOTS. Implikasi penelitian ini memberikan dasar empiris bagi pengembangan strategi pembelajaran yang lebih efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal HOTS matematika.

Abstract

Penelitian ini didasarkan pada tingkat kemampuan siswa dalam berpikir kritis dengan kategori rendah. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian untuk memecahkan masalah kontekstual dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan diharapkan dapat memberi peran kontribusi dalam peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian memakai metode SLR (systematic literature review), dengan memakai prosedur peninjauan dengan fokus pada item pelaporan pilihan untuk tinjauan sistematis dan kerangka meta-analyses (PRISMA). Metode dilakukan dengan meninjau berbagai jurnal artikel di google scholar dari tahun 2018–2024, dengan pilihan kata kunci yang digunakan yaitu berpikir kritis dan kontekstual. Diperoleh jurnal sebanyak 1125, terpilih 25 artikel utama yang digunakan. Proses review terdiri dari tiga tahapan yaitu Planning, Conducting, dan Reporting. Hasil penelitian menunjukan pendekatan kontekstual dipakai memiliki dampak lebih efektif untuk peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penyelesaian masalah secara kontekstual didalam pembelajaran matematika dapat dikategorikan efektif dalam upaya peningkatan kemampuan siswa dalam berpikir kritis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keperluan siswa SMP terhadap media pembelajaran digital berbasis Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) dalam memahami materi matematika. Pendekatan RME dipilih karena mampu menghubungkan konsep-konsep matematika dengan situasi nyata, yang dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa. Penelitian ini memanfaatkan metode kuantitatif deskriptif melalui teknik purposive sampling, melibatkan 30 siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 01 Kedung Jepara. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan angket, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan persentase. Temuan analisis menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas 85% siswa membutuhkan media pembelajaran digital untuk membantu mereka memahami materi matematika. Selain itu, 93% siswa tertarik menggunakan media berbasis RME, yang mengindikasikan bahwa siswa lebih menyukai pembelajaran yang mengaitkan materi dengan kehidupan keseharian. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan media pembelajaran digital berbasis RME sangat diperlukan guna mempertinggi pemahaman dan minat belajar matematika siswa.

Abstract

The teaching methods employed at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Semarang still predominantly use lecture-based approaches, and the use of instructional media remains suboptimal. Students' mathematical problem-solving abilities are relatively low, as evidenced by their continued difficulties in modeling word problems into mathematical forms. This study aims to analyze the need for digital learning media to improve students' mathematical problem-solving skills. Digital learning media allow students to access materials flexibly while also providing interactive tools designed to enhance problem-solving skills, particularly in understanding complex mathematical concepts such as sequences and series. The research method is descriptive qualitative, with the research instrument being a questionnaire using a 1-4 Likert scale. The questionnaire was distributed via Google Forms to 69 tenth-grade students at SMA Muhammadiyah Semarang, located in Semarang City, Central Java. After completing the questionnaire, in-depth interviews were conducted with students to support the collected data. A descriptive qualitative method was chosen because this approach enables researchers to explore students' needs and perceptions regarding the use of digital learning media more deeply. The findings indicate a lack of effective use of instructional media (an average score of 1.95 out of 4), significant challenges in problem-solving (an average score of 2.61 out of 4), and difficulties in understanding the material on sequences and series (an average score of 2.57 out of 4). The results of the study underscore the need for the development of digital learning media to address students' difficulties in understanding sequences and series, as well as to enhance their problem-solving skills. Digital learning media provide interactive materials and exercises specifically designed for the topic of sequences and series, which can be implemented at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Semarang, where students can access materials and practice problems via mobile phones during lessons or as homework to support independent learning.

Abstract

Hadirnya berbagai teknologi digital menuntut untuk menciptakan pembelajaran matematika yang interaktif, efisien, dan menarik bagi siswa, salah satunya penggunaan E-LKPD. Studi ini memiliki tujuan guna mengembangkan E-LKPD berbasis CORE pendekatan etnomatematika materi relasi dan fungsi untuk siswa kelas VIII. Metode yang digunakan berupa Research and Development (R&D) dengan mengadopsi model pengembangan ADDIE yang mencakup tahap analysis, design, dan development. Analisis data dilakukan melalui penilaian validasi oleh ahli media dan ahli materi, serta penilaian respon siswa dan guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Hasil validasi E-LKPD yang dikembangkan memperoleh skor sebesar 88,9% oleh ahli media dan 84% dari ahli materi, dengan rata-rata keseluruhan 86,5% dan termasuk kategori sangat valid; (2) Hasil respon guru mencapai 93,8% dan respon siswa 84,3%, dengan masing-masing termasuk kriteria sangat praktis. Hasil ini memperlihatkan bahwa E-LKPD yang dikembangkan memiliki tingkat validitas tinggi dan sangat praktis diimplementasikan dalam proses belajar mengajar matematika.

Abstract

Students' low problem-solving ability remains a problem in education. This study examines the effect of using PBL and STEM-based e-modules on mathematical problem-solving abilities in elementary to high school students focused on mathematics. The aim is to determine whether the e-modules used affect students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. The method used in this study is a system literature review (SLR) by reviewing articles from Google Scholar and Knowledge Maps sources from 2020 to 2025. The review process includes three stages: planning, implementation, and reporting. The results show that E-modules that integrate the PBL model, the STEM approach, or a combination of both are effective in improving students' ability to solve mathematical problems. These findings indicate that an innovative, student-centered learning model facilitated by e-modules is a potential strategy to address the challenges of problem-solving abilities in mathematics education.
