Abstract

Background: The development of self-identity in early childhood is a crucial aspect that forms the foundation for self-confidence, independence, and social competence. Children with a well-developed self-identity tend to recognize themselves, understand their roles, and demonstrate positive behaviors in everyday interactions. Objective: This study aims to analyze the effect of Senam Ceria (Joyful Exercise) on the development of self-identity among children aged 5–6 years. Method: The study employed a one-group pretest–posttest design involving 18 children from Group B as research participants. The observation instrument used in this study was validated by experts and demonstrated high reliability, with a Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient of 0.87. Over a three-week period, the children participated in six sessions of Senam Ceria, which were designed to stimulate self-expression, cooperation, and social awareness. Result: The analysis revealed a significant improvement in self-identity scores, increasing from a mean score of 7.61 before the intervention to 8.94 after the intervention. The paired t-test results indicated that the calculated t-value (4.761) exceeded the critical t-value (1.73961), with a p-value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that Senam Ceria had a statistically significant effect on children’s self-identity development. The novelty of this study lies in its focus on Senam Ceria, which has traditionally been used to enhance motor skills, but in this research is utilized as a medium for stimulating self-identity. These findings confirm that creative physical activities not only promote physical health but also effectively foster self-awareness, responsibility, and social behavior in children. Conclusion: In conclusion, this study provides an important contribution to early childhood education by demonstrating that Senam Ceria can be integrated as a learning strategy that supports the holistic development of children’s self-identity.

Abstract

Grati Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) operates a Land-based PV with 1.5 MWp bifacial solar panel modules. Currently, the solar irradiance has not been absorbed optimally yet because the bottom surface of the bifacial has not been utilized. Therefore, it requires a material which functions to reflect the irradiance of the sun so that the bottom surface of the bifacial PV can absorb the irradiance. In this case, the white coral is chosen to apply as a reflector, due to its high albedo value, available and low price. This research aims to see how large the improvement of the white coral in increasing the Grati Land-based PV production. This research is to compare it with soil albedo through a literature study, field survey, PVsyst simulation and the calculation of actual increase percentage in PV production. Based on the measurement of PV production, the usage of white coral as a reflector below the bifacial panel can increase the PV production amounts 3.8% higher than the soil albedo.

Abstract

This classroom action research aimed to improve students’ basic badminton service skills through a play-based learning approach in Class X E of SMA Negeri 4 Palu. The study was conducted in two cycles following Kemmis and McTaggart’s CAR stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Service skills were assessed using an analytic rubric covering stance/preparation, swing/contact, shuttle direction accuracy, and follow-through; supporting qualitative data were collected from structured observation notes. Individual mastery was set at a minimum score of 70, while classical mastery was achieved when ≥85% of students reached this threshold. Pre-cycle results showed 10 of 30 students (33.3%) met mastery. After Cycle I implementation (target-serve games and relay-serve games), mastery rose to 19 of 30 (63.3%). Revisions in Cycle II (greater target variability, paired consistency drills, additional guided practice, and self-modeling homework) increased mastery to 25 of 30 (85.0%), meeting the success indicator. The findings indicate that play-based learning improves service performance by increasing meaningful repetitions, immediate feedback, and competitive engagement in physical education classes.
