Abstract

This research aims to develop picture card puzzle game media to train early reading skills in children aged 5-6 years to determine the attractiveness and feasibility of use, and children after using picture card puzzle game media to train early reading skills in children. The method used by researchers is the development of Research and Development (RD), namely the development of picture card puzzle game media. This game media development model was developed based on the development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The data collection tools used were: first a material expert questionnaire and second a media expert questionnaire. The test subjects in this research were children in Gudang Hulu Village, Selimbau District. The results of the research developed obtained a design in the form of a picture card puzzle game media to train early reading skills in children aged 5-6 years. The percentage of eligibility is 96% by material experts, 87% by media experts. based on the results of the percentage that the media developed by the researcher was declared suitable for use as a learning medium.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) describe the use of traditional games to stimulate the development of children aged 5-6 years at PAUD Permata Ampera Pontianak. (2) describes the use of traditional kite games, coconut baroque stilts, and jumping rope to stimulate the development of children aged 5-6 years at PAUD Permata Ampera Pontianak. This research is a qualitative research with a qualitative descriptive approach. The instruments in this study were observation sheets to find out the use of traditional kite games, coconut shell stilts and jump rope to stimulate the development of children aged 5-6 years, interview guides to dig up additional information about the use of traditional games to stimulate children's development and documentation. The results of research through observation and interviews show that the use of traditional kite games, coconut shell stilts, and rope jumping in learning can stimulate children's development. The stimulation of children's development through these three traditional games is in the process of the game being carried out, starting from the initial preparation until the game is finished being played. Children discuss giving opinions, playing games, encouraging friends and helping friends while playing, invited to pray before and after playing , and the child is explained that the materials used for the game to be played are obtained from materials provided by nature.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the meaning manik ke pian culture in positive parenting in early childhood in Pauh Desa, Sintang Regency. The meaning manik ke pian culture that you want to see here is the meaning of various kinds of activities contained in the implementation of manik ke pian culture and that parents can do when carrying out parenting during the implementation manik ke pian culture and also in the daily life of children. The type of research used in this study is qualitative research using ethnographic methods, and data collection through observation, interview and documentation activities. The subject in this study was the customary chief. Based on data analysis conducted by researchers, with the title of the meaning manik ke pian culture in positive parenting in early childhood in Pauh Desa, Sintang Regency, the results were obtained that the implementation of manik ke pian culture is an expression to ask God so that children can be purified from various bad things and the universe can accept children who live in the world by being bestowed with all blessings and sustenance. There are 3 series in the implementation manik ke pian cunture, namely afternoon begendang, morning begendang, and taking children to bathe down to the river.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of ethnic, religious, and racial tolerance in Cahaya Bangsa PAUD, Seventeen District, Bengkayang Regency. This form of research uses a qualitative descriptive method. The subjects of this study were the principal, deputy principal, 2 Kindergarten teachers A and B. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis used is data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Techniques for checking the validity of the data are triangulation and member checks. The general results of the study show that the implementation of ethnic, religious and racial tolerance has its forms, supporting and inhibiting factors. The results of the research in particular are: 1. Forms of implementation of ethnic, religious, and racial tolerance in Cahaya Bangsa PAUD are varied, such as exemplifying, giving appreciation, good prejudice, mutual respect, regardless of ethnicity, genes, appearance, culture, beliefs. 2. Supporting factors in Cahaya Bangsa PAUD are mutual respect, respect, having a high sense of caring, strengthening friendship, helping others regardless of ethnicity, religion, and race between students. While the inhibiting factor is the low tolerance which results in mutual indifference between students. The conclusion is to set an example of growing appreciation, not prejudice, and building cooperation with other schools that have religious teachers according to the students' religion.

Abstract

Collaboration skills are essential for students when facing the working world in 21st-century society. The study aims to determine students' collaboration skills through inquiry and project-based learning in science. The descriptive method was implemented with surveys and interviews. The participants were 175 students from Junior High School. Data collection was carried out using collaborative skill observation sheets and an interview guide. The results showed that, in general, the collaboration skills of participants were categorized as high regarding the indicators of collaboration skills. The indicators consisted of contributing to group discussions (72.57 percent), working effectively in group discussions (77.14 percent), communicating in group activities (74.86 percent), and having responsibility for completing group assignments (75 percent). Therefore, teachers are advised to apply inquiry and project-based learning in science to improve student collaboration skills.

Abstract

This research aims to describe class-based Strengthening Character Education (PPK) activities for children aged 5-6 years in class B1 of the State Kindergarten, Setapuk Besar Village in terms of planning, implementation and assessment. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive research method. The subjects in this research were class B1 teacher and the Head of the Setapuk Besar District State Kindergarten. Data collection techniques are through observation, interviews and documentation studies with the instruments used, namely observation, interview and documentation guide sheets. Data analysis was carried out using the Miles and Huberman analysis model which consists of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions/verification. The results of the research show that the Setapuk Besar Subdistrict State Kindergarten implemented class-based Character Education Strengthening (PPK) with the following steps: (1) PPK planning was carried out through learning planning by integrating PPK values in preparing the RPPH, (2) PPK implementation was carried out integrated in learning activities by following the RPPH integrated with the PPK values that have been prepared, and (3) the PPK assessment is carried out integrated in the learning assessment

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of parents in the digital era in the social emotional development of children aged 5-6 years in Sebagu Village, Teluk Keramat District, Sambas Regency. The method used is descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The data source for this study were parents who had 3 children aged 5-6 years. Data collection tools through observation sheets, interview guidelines and documentation. The results of this study explained that the role of parents in the digital era on the social emotional development of children aged 5-6 years in Sebagu Village, Teluk Keramat District, Sambas Regency, namely (1) the role of parents as role models has been carried out well that is, parents provide an exemplary attitude by exemplifying how to play with peers, work together and show good empathy such as being gentle and not rude in terms of attitudes, actions or words in front of children, especially in everyday speech. (2) the role of parents as mentors, parents do habituation to children but it is still not optimal because parents do not have much time to accompany children because of busy parents who work all day. (3) the role of parents as controllers, parents have difficulty controlling children as seen by parents freeing children to play gadgets and dealing with children's emotions by giving gadgets as a substitute for the role of parents. (4) the role of parents as facilitators, parents are able to fulfill the child's facilities and infrastructure

Abstract

This study describes the actualization of character education in scouting activities for children aged 5-6 years at Kindergarten  Islamiyah, Southeast Pontianak District. The research method used qualitative. The subjects study were 2 scout coaches. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis was carried out namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Data validity checking technique uses triangulation. The results of the study: 1. Actualization of self-loving character in scout activities, namely children participating in scout activities with full confidence and confidence. The activity marching and individual games to put water into the bottle. 2. Actualization of the character of loving others in scouting  activities, namely the friendly attitude of children to each scout member and scout coach and respecting others manifested through marching activities, forming circles, holding each other, group games,singing while clapping. 3. Actualization of the character of loving the environment in scout activities, namely that children want to take part in scout activities in the field, protect the environment and care for the  environment so that it is clean, comfortable and safe for children when  carrying out scout activities. In conclusion: character education has been carried out well for children in Kindergarten Islamiyah,Southeast Pontianak through marching activities, playing, singing, clapping and activities related to the character of loving yourself, loving others and loving the environment. The suggestion: children  should be more confident and carry out each activity independently.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the use of digital media in early childhood learning at El Shaddai Kindergarten, Pontianak City. The research method used is a descriptive method with a qualitative research form. The subjects in this research were 3 teachers who taught at El Shaddai Kindergarten, Pontianak City. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. The research results show that preparation for using digital media in early childhood learning is by preparing digital media that will be used during the learning process. Teachers choose and use forms of digital media that are appropriate to the child's age level and learning needs. Based on research results, the form of digital media used by teachers in learning influences the teaching and learning process, however, to use digital media well and correctly, the teacher must make an effort to guide and model it for children so that children can easily understand and apply it directly.
