Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of physical fitness in elementary school students. This study aims to determine the effect of playing frog and stork in improving the physical fitness of elementary school students. To achieve this goal, a test instrument regarding physical fitness is needed which will be compiled and then tested on elementary school students. Physical fitness comes from four aspects that are assessed, namely (1) Shuttles Run Test 4x10 meters (in seconds), (2) Throwing and Catching Balls 1 meter to the wall, (3) Stork Stand Positional Balance Test (in minutes), and (in minutes) 4) 30 Meters Sprint (in seconds). This research took place at SD Negeri 2 Sindangkasih, Purwakarta District, Purwakarta Regency. Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif Number Head Together (NHT) yang dipadukan dengan media video animasi terhadap keterampilan menulis teks narasi siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas kombinasi model NHT dengan media video animasi dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis narasi siswa serta membandingkan hasilnya dengan metode konvensional. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya keterampilan menulis siswa, yang terlihat dari kesulitan mereka dalam menuangkan ide dan gagasan ke dalam tulisan. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain quasi experiment dengan pengukuran pre-test dan post-test. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes uraian dan observasi aktivitas siswa selama proses pembelajaran. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas 45 siswa yang dipilih secara purposive sampling dari populasi sasaran, kemudian dibagi menjadi dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok eksperimen (yang mendapat perlakuan) dan kelompok kontrol (yang menggunakan metode konvensional). Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model NHT yang didukung oleh media video animasi memberikan peningkatan positif sebesar 23,7% pada kemampuan menulis narasi siswa. Selain itu, hasil uji N-Gain pada kelompok eksperimen mencapai 46,26%, yang termasuk dalam kategori sedang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, penerapan model pembelajaran Number Head Together (NHT) dengan bantuan media video animasi terbukti sebagai alat pembelajaran yang efektif.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate two key aspects: 1) the influence of the Steinberg Four Stages method, supported by Snake and Ladder media, on the initial reading ability of first-grade students at SDIT Al-Bina, and 2) whether the initial reading ability of these students improved more significantly with this method and media compared to those using the Syllable method. This research was prompted by the observation that first-grade students at SDIT Al-Bina needed to improve their initial reading skills. The Steinberg Four-Stage method, combined with Snake and Ladder media, was explored as a potential solution to this issue, with the overall goal of enhancing these students' initial reading abilities. The study employed a Quasi-Experiment design with a Nonequivalent Control Group. The sample consisted of first-grade students from SDIT Al-Bina, divided into two groups of 28 students each: an experimental class and a control class. The findings indicate: 1) The Steinberg Four Stages method, aided by Snake and Ladder media, influenced students' initial reading ability by 72.9%. 2) There was a greater improvement in the initial reading ability of students who used the Steinberg Four Stages method with Snake and Ladder media compared to those who used the Syllable method.
