This study uses R & D as the research method for assessing the suitability of the of the students’ perception witht the learning models that have already exist. As a result, this model can be used as a constructive learning environment model that is able to optimize the process of listening skill. Moreover, it can directly infuse moral values that exist in the listening process. Thus, the constructive learning environment model can address the needs of the students in learning listening skill.

First, the SWOT analysis results show the need of developing a comprehensive evaluation system on Indonesian learning outcomes at grade level. Second, the rules of the comprehensive evaluation system are packed into three parts; the conceptual rules of learning outcomes evaluation, the implementation rules of the evaluation of learning outcomes at the beginning, on the process, and at the end of the study, and follow-up of the learning outcomes evaluation. Third, the research product in the form of a comprehensive evaluation system of learning outcomesmanual book for Indonesian teachers is considered feasible by expert and very well perceived by the teacher. Fourth, the try-out results with the technique of one-sample t-test (one-tail) at a 95% confidence level showed a significant increase on teachers’ pedagogical competence. This is shown by the group A, t-value 6.6149 is greater than the table of t-values1746, group B, t-value 7.8257 is greater than the table of t-values 1729, and the group C 10.0857 t-count is greater than the table of t-values1697. Thus, this comprehensive Indonesian learning outcomes evaluation system is effective to improve teachers pedagogical competence.

Abstract

Conservation news texts contain the expression of language on conservation events or issues presented based on arguments related to the vision of the university (Universitas Negeri Semarang) with conservation. Conservation is an important and sensitive issue for the community. This is because it is commonly associated with institutional policy or ideology. The purpose of this study is to describe the form of ecolexicon in conservation text in mass media. The theoretical framework used is ecolinguistics. Then, the data used is a conservation news text containing ecolexicon. The data source is from the mass media at webpage www.unnes.ac.id which has relatively a large number of text data of conservation so that the data will be more varied. Method of data collection is done by employing simak method, literature study method, and documentation method. Furthermore, the data were analyzed by ecolinguistic study using the method of padan and agih. Based on data analysis, it is found that ecolexicon forms are found in the conservation news text, i.e., basic words, derivative words, phrases, and expression. The ecolexicon forms found in the conservation news text can be classified into two types of referents, i.e. biotic references (flora/fauna) and abiotic referents. The results of this study can contribute theoretically and practically in the field of linguistics, language learning, journalism, and public policy. For this reason, the study of ecolinguistics in conservation news text in the mass media deserves to be given space as a form of prospective eco-linguistic analysis.

Abstract

This study is based on the performance of education supervisors, the performance of madrasah principals, the performance of professional teachers, and the performance of madrasah committees, which synergize into the model of effective madrasah tsanawiyah in Purbalingga District. The problems raised in this study are (1) whether the relationships among the variables affecting the effectiveness of madrasah can be empirically tested and (2) how the contribution of education supervisors, heads of madrash, professional teachers, and madrasah committees to the quality of madrasah processes and effectiveness. This research was designed as a correlational study using path analysis. The population of this study was all professional teachers in 31 of 39 public and private MTs accredited "A" and "B" in Purbalingga District. The total number of population was 334 people with the error rate of 10%. The sample size was 150 people. The data were analyzed based on the structural equation model (SEM) using AMOS. Based on the data analysis, it was found that: First, there is a correlation between the conceptual model and the empirically tested model. Second, the performance of education supervisor, head of madrasah, professional teacher, and madrasah committee have an effect on the quality process. The contribution of the exogenous variable influence was 89.9%, the rest 10.1% was influenced by other factors beyond the model. Third, the contribution of quality process variable, education supervisor, head of madrasah, professional teacher, and madrasah committee on effective madrasah was 93.4%, the rest 6.6% was influenced by other factors. Fourth, the model can be used to predict effective madrasahs with the effort of managing the tested exogenous variables. It can be recommended that the effective madrasah tsanawiyah model can be used to predict the effectiveness of madrasah by prioritizing on quality process variables, professional teacher performance, madrasah head performance, and madrasah committees performance, with various sciences and insights.
