Abstract

Kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan kepercayaan diri siswa masih rendah. Hal ini disebabkan proses pembelajaran yang monoton dan siswa tidak aktif terlibat dalam proses pembelajaran, sehingga membutuhkan media pembelajaran yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematika dan kepercayaan diri siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis Google Sites pada materi Geometri Bangun Ruang dan untuk menganalisis validitas, kepraktisan, dan efektivitas media pembelajaran tersebut. Penelitian ini merupakan studi penelitian dan Pengembangan (RnD) dengan menggunakan model ADDIE. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian dan pengembangan ini adalah kuesioner, tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis, dan lembar observasi. Subjek percobaan adalah siswa kelas delapan SMP Swasta di Kabupaten Garut. Hasilnya diketahui bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis Google Sites memenuhi kriteria validitas, kepraktisan, dan efektivitas dalam meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi dan kepercayaan diri siswa. Hal ini diketahui dari validitas media pembelajaran, berdasarkan hasil penilaian validitas media dan materi, menunjukkan hasil yang valid; kepraktisan media pembelajaran, menunjukkan hasil yang termasuk dalam kategori praktis; efektivitasnya dalam meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis diperoleh dari hasil tes yang menunjukkan peningkatan dengan interpretasi sedang dan tinggi; efektivitasnya dalam meningkatkan kepercayaan diri siswa diperoleh dari peningkatan dengan interpretasi sedang. Students' mathematical communication ability and self-confidence are still low. This is due to the learning process being monotonous and students not being actively involved in the learning process, thus requiring effective learning media to improve students' mathematical communication ability and self-confidence. This research was conducted to develop Google Sites-assisted learning media on the Geometry of Solid Shapes material and to analyze the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the learning media. This research is a Research and Development (RnD) study using the ADDIE model. The instruments used in this research and development are questionnaires, mathematical communication ability tests, and observation sheets. The subjects of the trial were eighth-grade students of a Private Junior High School in Garut Regency. The result is known that the Google Sites-assisted learning media meets the criteria for validity, practicality, and effectiveness in improving students' communication ability and self-confidence. This is known from: the validity of the learning media, based on the assessment results of the media and material validity, showed valid results; the practicality of the learning media, showed results that fall into the practical category; its effectiveness in increasing mathematical communication ability was obtained from an increase with moderate and high interpretation; its effectiveness in increasing students' self-confidence was obtained from an increase with moderate interpretation.

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis peserta didik di Indonesia masih tergolong rendah. Penyebab hal tersebut diantaranya penggunaan model pembelajaran dan media pembelajaran yang kurang mendorong tumbuhnya kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis peserta didik, sehingga dibutuhkan pemilihan model dan media pembelajaran inovatif yang dapat menumbuhkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis. Salah satunya adalah penggunaan model pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving (CPS) dan media pembelajaran software GeoGebra. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis peserta didik yang pembelajarannya menggunakan model pembelajaran CPS dengan media GeoGebra dan model pembelajaran CPS dengan media PowerPoint. Selain itu, pada penelitian ini dikaji bagaimana perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis kedua kelompok tersebut. Pada penggunaan media software GeoGebra diobservasi bagaimana respon peserta didik setelah penggunaan GeoGebra selama kegiatan pembelajaran. Hasil dari uji gain, uji-t dan uji mann-whitney dapat disimpulan penggunaan model CPS berbantuan GeoGebra dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Sebagian besar respon peserta didik setelah penggunaan GeoGebra selama kegiatan pembelajaran adalah sangat baik. Students' mathematical creative thinking skills in Indonesia are still considered low. This is partly caused by the use of learning models and media that do not sufficiently encourage the growth of these skills; therefore, it is necessary to select innovative learning models and media that can foster mathematical creative thinking. One such approach is the use of the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) model and GeoGebra software. The purpose of this research is to determine the improvement of students' mathematical creative thinking skills through the implementation of the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) model assisted by GeoGebra compared to the CPS model assisted by PowerPoint. Furthermore, this study examines the difference in the improvement of creative thinking skills between the two groups. Regarding the use of GeoGebra, students' responses were observed after its implementation in learning activities. Based on the results of the N-gain test, t-test, and Mann-Whitney test, it can be concluded that the use of the CPS model assisted by GeoGebra can improve creative thinking skills. Moreover, the majority of students' responses toward the use of GeoGebra during learning activities were very good.

Abstract

Abstrak Minat belajar merupakan aspek afektif yang krusial dalam menentukan keberhasilan siswa memahami konsep matematika. Namun, fenomena di lapangan memperlihatkan tantangan terkait keterlibatan siswa akibat metode pembelajaran yang kurang variatif serta tingginya intensitas penggunaan gawai untuk bermain game. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil minat belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII yang dikaitkan dengan preferensi kebiasaan bermain game melalui implementasi media ular tangga interaktif berbasis Canva. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 29 siswa kelas VIII di salah satu SMP di Kabupaten Garut. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan angket minat belajar, angket profil game, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa setelah intervensi media, data minat belajar siswa terdistribusi pada kategori sedang (55,17%) dan tinggi (44,83%), tanpa adanya siswa pada kategori rendah. Profil game siswa didominasi oleh game kompetitif (Free Fire dan Mobile Legends) dengan tipe pemain yang berimbang antara Solo Player (51,7%) dan Squad Player (48,3%). Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa media ular tangga berbasis Canva mampu memfasilitasi kebutuhan visual dan interaksi sosial siswa, sehingga berkontribusi positif terhadap terbentuknya disposisi minat belajar yang baik pada pembelajaran matematika..   Kata kunci: Canva, Gamifikasi, Media Pembelajaran, Minat Belajar, Ular Tangga   Abstract Learning interest is a crucial affective aspect in determining students' success in understanding mathematical concepts. However, phenomena in the field show challenges related to student engagement due to less varied learning methods and the high intensity of gadget use for gaming. This study aims to describe the profile of mathematics learning interest of grade VIII students associated with gaming habit preferences through the implementation of Canva-based interactive snakes and ladders media. The research method used a quantitative descriptive approach with 29 grade VIII students as subjects at a junior high school in Garut Regency. Data collection was carried out using learning interest questionnaires, game profile questionnaires, and interviews. The results showed that after the media intervention, students' learning interest data were distributed in the medium (55.17%) and high (44.83%) categories, with no students in the low category. The students' game profile was dominated by competitive games (Free Fire and Mobile Legends) with a balanced player type between Solo Player (51.7%) and Squad Player (48.3%). These findings indicate that Canva-based snakes and ladders media are able to facilitate students' visual needs and social interactions, thereby contributing positively to the formation of a good learning interest disposition in mathematics learning.   Keywords: Canva, Gamification, Learning Media, Learning Interest, Snakes and Ladders

Abstract

Kemampuan penalaran matematis merupakan kompetensi utama dalam pembelajaran matematika yang sangat penting untuk dikembangkan guna mendukung keberhasilan siswa dalam menyelesaikan berbagai masalah secara logis dan sistematis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas penggunaan aplikasi Photomath dan Maple Calculator dalam meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Tarogong Kidul dengan penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL). Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan desain nonequivalent control group yang melibatkan 68 siswa sebagai sampel. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes esai yang telah tervalidasi dan reliabel, kemudian dianalisis dengan uji statistik untuk menguji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedua aplikasi memiliki efek yang sama dalam meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa, dengan peningkatan skor yang tidak signifikan secara statistik (p > 0,05). Kesimpulan penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa Photomath dan Maple Calculator sama-sama efektif sebagai media pembelajaran digital berbasis PBL untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematis tanpa adanya perbedaan yang signifikan di antara keduanya

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between self-concept and adaptive mathematical reasoning ability of eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 3 Tarogong Kidul, Garut. Adaptive reasoning ability is an important skill in facing the challenges of the 21st century, while self-concept is suspected as one of the internal factors that influence it. This study uses a quantitative approach with a non-experimental method. The research subjects were 30 students selected through a purposive sampling technique. The instruments used included a descriptive test to measure adaptive reasoning ability and a Likert scale questionnaire to assess self-concept. The normality test using Shapiro-Wilk showed that both variables were not normally distributed, so the relationship analysis was carried out using Spearman Rank correlation. The results showed a significant relationship between self-concept and students' adaptive mathematical reasoning ability, marked by a significance value of 0.000 <0.05 and a correlation coefficient of 0.624 which is included in the strong category. The coefficient of determination of 38.9% indicates that self-concept contributes to adaptive reasoning ability, while the remaining 61.1% is influenced by other factors, such as learning interest, conceptual understanding, and student creativity. Overall, this study concludes that mathematical self-concept plays an important role in improving students' adaptive reasoning ability, so strengthening the affective aspect needs to be part of the mathematics learning strategy

Abstract

Abstrak Kemampuan komunikasi matematis merupakan salah satu kompetensi yang sangat penting dalam pembelajaran matematika,  namun masih tergolong rendah pada siswa siswa SMP. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan model pembelajaran yang mampu mendorong keterlibatan aktif siswa dan didukung media pembelajaran yang interaktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan media Wordwall terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Melalui penerapan masalah kontekstual dan penggunaan media interaktif, siswa diharapkan mampu mengungkapkan ide matematis, memahami simbol, serta menafsirkan argumen matematika dengan baik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan  desain pre-eksperimental one group pretest-posttest. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 31 siswa kelas VII di salah satu SMP swasta di Kecamatan Peundeuy. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis sebanyak lima butir soal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa sebelum dan sesudah diterapkan model PBL berbantuan Wordwall (sig. = 0,000 < 0,05), dengan rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 0,52 yang termasuk dalam kategori sedang. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa model PBL berbantuan media Wordwall efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa SMP. Kata kunci: Problem Based Learning, Wordwall, Komunikasi Matematis,Pembelajaran Matematika Abstract Mathematical communicaion skills are one of the essential competencies in mathematics learning; however, they are still relatively low among junior high school students. Therefore, a learning model that encourages student’s active involvement and is supported by interactive learning media is needed. This study aimed to examine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by Wordwall media on students' mathematical communication skills. Through the implementation of contextual problems and the use of interactive media, students are expected to be able to express mathematical ideas, understand symbols, and interpret mathematical arguments effectively. This research employed a quantitave approach with a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. The subjects consisted of 31 seventh-grade students at a private junior high school in Peundeuy District. Data were collected through a mathematical communication skills test consisting of five essay questions. The results showed a significant difference between students’ mathematical communication skills before and after the implementation of the PBL model assisted by Wordwall media (sig. = 0,000 < 0,05), with an average N-Gain score of 0,52 categorized as moderate. These findings indicate that the PBL model assisted by Wordwall media is effective in improving junior high school students’ mathematical communication skills.  Keywords: Problem Based Learning, wordwall, Mathematical Communication Skills, Matematics Learning
