Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was to determine the genus of bacteria can produce electricity energy used microbial fuel cell series in waste water of tofu and develop module in enviromental mikrobiology concept in basic microbiology among December 2015- May 2016. This research did by 2 phases : isolate microbial fuel cell bakteria in waste water of tofu and development of the module. This research is descriptive, sampling did by purposive sampling, with pick sample in 3 spot there are 2 m,4 m dan 6 m in river bank from source discharges,with considering the existence of tofu waste clumps in the river source waste disposal. Parameter in this research there are test electrical energy, isolate bacteria of microbial fuel cell, and develop the module of basic microbiology. The highest electricity energy in this research observed on the 40th hour of 67,2 mV,kind of bacteria in microbial fuel cell series in tofu waste water are Entrobacter,Desulfomaculum,Sulfobacterium. Abstract

The research aims to know the influence of type of feed buffaloes to the quality ofcurd in Kampar Regency are carried out in the laboratory of Biology EducationFaculty of Teacher Training and Education and Chemical Result of Fisheries Facultyof fisheries University of Riau from July-September 2013. The research method usedis experimental descriptive. Samples of the milk comes from different types of feedthat is fodder grasses, grass-added rice straw, and grass-added rice and coconut milk.The research parameters include total bacterial colonies, protein content, fat content,and pH of curd were analyzed by descriptive. The results of research showed that thehighest total bacterial colonies 3,3 x 10 7 Cfu/ml and the highest acidity is pH 5contained in the curd with the type of fodder grass-added rice straw, the highestprotein content found in curd from type of fodder grasses 9,09%, and the highest fatcontent found in curd from type of fodder grass-added rice and coconut milk 12,95%.Keywords: Curds, Types of Feed

Abstract

This research aims to know the effectiveness addition of purple sweet potatoes extract and skim milk to sweet corn yoghurt’s lactic acid and pH by using Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium sp. The research held in Biological Laboratory of Educational Faculty and Chemical Laboratory Of Result and Fishery of Riau University. Research design has been used was factorial completed randomized design (RAL factorial) which consisted of two factor. First factor is the addition of purple sweet potatoes extract with concentration are 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% and second factor is skim milk with concentration are 0%, 3%, 5%, 7%. Parameter of research consisted of lactic acid and pH which analysed by using the ANAVA and continued with DMRT level 5%. The result showed that the addition of purple sweet potatoes extract and skim milk affected sweet corn yoghurt’s lactic acid and pH significantly. The combination of purple sweet potatoes extract and skim milk addition most effective at U15S5 (purple sweet potatoes extract 15%, skim milk 5%) with lactic acid 1.216% and pH 3,623.Keywords : Yoghurt, Lactic Acid, pH.

Abstract

Action research has been done to improve student motivation and learning activitiesin the subjects of biology class X.3 SMAN 1 Siak Hulu using Cooperative LearningModel Type Word Square. The research was conducted in October and November2013. The subjects were X.3 grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Siak Hulu AcademicYear 2013/2014, amounting to 30 people consisting of 14 sons and 16 daughters.Parameters measured were student motivation and learning activities. The resultsshowed increased student motivation. Before the action the average studentmotivation is 2.92 (medium category), the first cycle increased to 4.21 (highcategory). In the second cycle students 'motivation has increased by an average of4.56 students' motivation (high category). The average percentage of student learningactivities showed an increase, in the first cycle category with a sufficient percentageof 66.95 % and the second cycle includes both categories with an average percentageof 84.45 %. From the results of this study indicate that learning through CooperativeLearning Model of Word Type Square can increase student motivation and learningactivities in the subjects of biology classes at SMAN X.3 1 Siak Hulu Academic Year2013/2014.Keywords: learning activities, cooperative, learning motivation, learning, wordsquare

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of variations in the type of processing of tea (Camellia sinensis L. Kuntze) and the concentration of sugar to ferment kombucha and draft Worksheet Students (LKPD) High School Biology.This study consisted of two phases. The first phase is making kombucha tea using the experimental method completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 8 treatments and 3 replications. Parameters measured were reducing sugar, total acid concentration, pH and organoleptic levels. The results obtained were analyzed by ANOVA and a further test DMRT at 5% level. The second phase is the phase Design (draft) LKPD sourced from the research phase I. LKPD design consists of two stages, namely Analysis and Design LKPD. The results showed that variations in the type of processing tea and sugar concentration provides significant effect on reducing sugar, total acid concentration, pH and organoleptic levels. The greater the concentration of sugar, the greater the reduction sugar and total acid content of kombucha tea, and increasingly lace pH of the solution. As for organoleptic color, aroma, and taste the best there is on the treatment T1G3 (black tea, sugar 120 grams). The results of the study can be used as a draft Worksheet Students (LKPD) on the material of conventional biotechnology. Key words : Kombucha tea, Tea Processing Type Variation, Concentration Sugar, draft LKPD

Abstract

This research has been conducted to increase the scientific attitude and Biology learning outcomes with Cooperative CRH model in XI IPA1 SMAN 5 Pekanbaru at 2010/2011 school years. This research had been done on September-October 2011. The sampel amount to 39 students. The parameters were scientific attitude, Biology learning outcomes, students and teachers activities. Result showed, the average of scientific attitude on first cycle was 67,53% (sufficient), and the average of scientific attitude on second cycle 85,47% (good). The average absorption of students on first cycle was 58,69% (less), and daily test students was 75,43% (less), at second cycle the average absorption of students increased 78,92 (sufficient) and daily test 79,46% (sufficient). Learning outcomes students on first cycle was 51,28% (complete) and 48,72% (notcomplete). Learning outcomes students on second cycle was 82,05% (complete) and 17,95% (notcomplete). The group appreciation on first cycle for super was 4 groups and great 4 groups. All groups get the great appreciation on second cycle. Students activities on first cycle was 61.01% (cufficient) and on second cycle 85,50% (good). Teacher activities on first cycle was 88,45% (best), and on second cycle 4,23% (best). The conclusion was Cooperative CRH model could increased scientific attitude and Biology learning outcomes students of XI IPA1 SMAN 5 Pekanbaru at 2011/2012 school years.Keywords: Cooperative CRH Model, Biology learning outcomes, scientific attitude

Abstract

ABSTRACT  This research aimed to identification of bacteria market organic waste Pekanbaru city om march-June 2016. Result of the research use for make a material learning design the form student worksheet in biologi SMA. The research conducted with 2 phase namely experimental research and design or material learning the from student worksheet. Method of the research is purvosive sampling method wich set sampel taked location based on waste spread. Identification of bacteria wich macroscopis observation is cell shape, edge cell and colour cell wall bacteria, gram colour, and Biohchemical test. Result of research showed 10 genus bacteria found from 4 market Pekanbaru city, 10 genus of bacteri consist of genus Enterobacter, Streptococcus, Streptomyces, Holobacterium, Proteus, Eschericia, Neisseria, Pseudomonas, Klebseilla and Bacillus. Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk mengendalikan pencemaran lingkungan oleh biosolar menggunakan bakteri Bacillus cereus strain IMB-11 dengan mengoptimalkan rasio nutrisi bakteri. Penelitian dilakukan pada Desember 2020-Januari 2021 di laboratorium Mikrobiologi, Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Riau. Media yang digunakan adalah SMSS dengan menambahkan 4 variasi rasio nutrien berupa karbon, nitrogen dan Fosfor dengan rasio 100:10:1, 100:10:0.5, 100:5:1 dan 100:5:0,5 dengan menambahkan 10% bakteri Bacillus cereus strain IMB-11. Parameter yang diamati adalah perubahan warna dan kekeruhan media kultur serta jumlah koloni bakteri dalam mendegradasi biosolar. Rasio nutrien C:N:P 100:10:1 memberikan pertumbuhan optimal bagi bakteri dalam mendegradasi biosolar, terlihat dari jumlah koloni yang lebih tinggi yaitu mencapai 2.42x109 CFU/mL pada hari ke 3, serta perubahan warna dan kekeruhan media yang cenderung terjadi lebih cepat dibandingkan variasi rasio nutrien lainnya. Hasil penelitian dapat dijadikan sebagai media pembelajaran Poster pada materi bakteri kelas X SMA. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu Rasio nutrien C:N:P=10:10:1 memberikan pertumbuhan lebih optimal terhadap bakteri Bacillus cereus Strain IMB-11 dibandingkan dengan rasio nutrien lainnya dan hasil penelitian dapat dijadikan sebagai rancangan media poster materi Bakteri kelas X SMA 3.5 Mengidentifikasi struktur, cara hidup, reproduksi dan peran bakteri dalam kehidupan dan KD 4.5 Menyajikan data tentang ciri-ciri dan peran bakteri dalam kehidupan.

Abstract

ABSTRACT  This research was aimed at studying the identification of bacteria from the liquid waste of petroleum from August to October 2014. The result of research was used to development a learning module in basic microbiology course. This research was implemented in 2 steps, they are Laboratory research and development a learning module by use of ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) development. Isolation of bacteria was under taken using thinning methods (platting methods) grown at solid media Stone Mineral Salt Solution Extract Yeast (SMSSe) added with crude oil as selective media. Colonies observed on the media after incubation on the temperature 28-300C for 24-48 hours were identified based on macroscopic observations, microscopic and biochemical tests to ensure that the bacteria identified was absolutely petroleum bacteria. The research result carried out 3 genera of bacteria namely Enterobacter, Pseudomonas and Klebsiella. The result of research is developed as learning module in the concept of prokaryot to enrich teaching materials in basic microbiology course. Key words: Identification, SMSSe Media, Learning Module

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk merancang poster berbasis pengaruh ekstrak daun rumput teki sebagai bioherbisida terhadap gulma bandotan pada materi ekosistem kelas X Biologi SMA. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Juli - November di Laboratorium Alam Pendidikan Biologi Universitas Riau. Penelitian ini menggunakan 2 tahapan, penelitian tahap I menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan RAL yang terdiri dari 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan dengan perlakuan P1, P2, P3, P4 dan P5 berturut – turut menggunakan larutan ekstrak daun rumput teki sebanyak 3500 ppm, 4000 ppm, 4500 ppm dan 5000 ppm. Parameter penelitian meliputi panjang akar, berat basah, berat kering, tinggi tanaman dan jumlah daun. Analisis hasil menggunakan ANOVA dan uji lanjut DMRT pada taraf 5%. Penelitian tahap II rancangan poster menggunakan 3 tahapan yaitu tahap analisis, desain dan pengembangan. Hasil penelitian tahap eksperimen, ekstrak daun rumput teki berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan gulma bandotan. Perlakuan P5 konsentrasi 5000 ppm memiliki kemampuan paling tinggi dalam menekan pertumbuhan dengan panjang akar 3,37 cm, berat basah 0,34 gr, berat kering 0,085 gr, tinggi tanaman 2,7 cm dan jumlah daun 7 helai. Berdasarkan hasil validasi poster menunjukkan hasil sangat valid dengan rata-rata penilaian 3,51 yang ditinjau dari aspek kelayakan isi, kebahasaan, tampilan dan kegrafisan. Hasil rancangan poster dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif media pembelajaran.
