Abstract

HARRIS Hotel Batam Center is a 4 star hotel located right in Batam City Center which can be accessed just by walking to Mega Mall and International Ferry Terminal Batam Center, precisely located at Jl. Engku Putri, Tlk. Tering, District. Batam City, Batam City. This research aims to determine the procedure technique for cleaning the public toilet area at HARRIS Hotel Batam Center and to find out the obstacles in implementing the procedure technique for cleaning the public toilet area at HARRIS Hotel Batam Center. The data collection techniques used in this research were observation studies, interviews, documentation and literature studies. The results of this research are that providing bathrooms that are clean, healthy and free from disease and annoying insects is one of the main tasks of the housekeeping floor section, so that guests feel at home staying at the hotel. The implementation of procedures for cleaning and preparing bathrooms at Harris Hotel Batam is very good, this is proven by its implementation which is carried out consistently by area public officer, supervisors and housekeeping HOD. Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze the service quality of the restaurant at Hotel Aston Sentul Lake Resort & Conference Center, focusing on five main dimensions: Tangible, Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, and Empathy. The method used was descriptive quantitative, with data collected through observation, questionnaires, and documentation. A total of 100 respondents, who were restaurant guests, participated in this research. The results showed that the overall level of customer satisfaction was in the satisfied category, with a total score of 4462 from the five variables analyzed. The Empathy dimension scored the highest, indicating that guests greatly appreciated the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. However, the Tangible variable, particularly regarding employee neatness, received the lowest score and requires improvement. Quick responses in addressing complaints and guests' needs were deemed adequate, but some improvements are still needed to handle complaints more effectively. In conclusion, while the overall service quality was satisfactory, there are some areas that need enhancement, especially in terms of employee neatness and handling guest complaints. The implementation of these suggestions is expected to improve the service quality at the restaurant of Hotel Aston Sentul Lake Resort & Conference Center. Abstract

This research aims to study the Potang Balimau tradition in Nagari Pangkalan, Pangkalan Koto Baru Subdistrict, Lima Puluh Kota Regency, held as a preparation for the holy month of Ramadan. Potang Balimau involves a cleansing ritual using lime juice and a mixture of seven types of flowers, along with a series of cultural activities such as traditional competitions and performances. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection methods including interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that the Potang Balimau tradition holds deep spiritual and social significance for the local community. Beyond purification, it strengthens social bonds and preserves the cultural values of the Minangkabau people. Keywords: Potang Balimau Tradition, Social Values, Purification

Abstract

Kehidupan yang terus berkembang dalam kehidupan sosial masyarakat, salah satunya adalah fenomena kaum sosialita. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tentang gambaran pengalaman aktivitas subjek yang bergabung, aspek yang mempengaruhinya, dan dampak dari perilaku sosialita terhadap keluarga. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori interaksionisme simbolik oleh Herbert Blumer yang menekankan pada makna yang diberikan oleh individu melalui simbol-simbol dalam interaksi sosial. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif, menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologi. Data yang dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian berjumlah lima orang dengan cara Purposive Sampling yaitu pada kelompok arisan sosialita yang dinamai Bunda Corla. Analisis data dilakukan dengan cara reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan, serta menggunakan triangulasi sumber untuk memperoleh fakta yang ditemukan dilapangan.Temuan penelitian gaya hidup dari kelompok sosialita Bunda Corla terlihat melalui citra diri yang tercermin dalam penampilan mereka, dan lebih ke pencarian kesenangan dengan mengikuti berbagai kegiatan. Adapun yang melatarbelakangi gaya hidup sosialita didorong oleh aspek psikologis, finansial, lingkungan dan media sosial. Perilaku sosialita yang aktif dengan berbagai kegiatan dapat menimbulkan dampak negatif pada kehidupan mereka sendiri maupun keluarganya. untuk itu sebagai sosialita agar memperhatikan keseimbangan yang tepat antara kehidupan sosial dan tanggung jawab keluarga, melakukan kegiatan yang bermanfaat, mengatur waktu dan keuangan, serta agar tetap memperhatikan kepentingan keluarga disaat berada di luar rumah.

Abstract

This study reviews the strategy of Village Officials in handling drug users. This study uses a qualitative method, data collection is done by observation, interviews and documentation. The research subjects are five people who work at the Terantang Village Office. The purpose of this study is to determine the strategy of Village Officials in handling drug users.The results of this study indicate that the strategy often carried out by Village Officials in handling drug cases is a facilitative strategy, namely village officials often conduct socialization to the community regarding knowledge about drugs and the laws that ensnare drug users, village officials provide special complaint services if there is public suspicion of people involved in drugs and facilitate the community to exercise as a healthy lifestyle.

Abstract

This study analyzes visitor responses to the competencies of tour guides at Istana Asserayah Al-Hasyimiyah. Using a quantitative method, data from 100 respondents indicate that majority rated the knowledge aspect (63%-65%) and skills aspect (60%-65%) as very good. Overall positive ratings reached 76%-79%, although 21%-25% of respondents indicated that certainaspect, such as communication and service promotion, still require improvement. These finfings suggest that the tour guide competencies align with the 2024 SKKNI Pramuwisata standards, although enhacements in some areas are needed for more optimal service. Abstract

This research was conducted to analyze visitor responses to tourist attractions at the Tengku Buang Asmara Skywalk with a focus on four main dimensions: Uniqueness, Authenticity, Rarity, Benefits for Tourists. The method used is descriptive quantitative, with data collected through observation, questionnaires and documentation. A total of 100 respondents, who were visitors to the Tengku Buang Asmara Skywalk, were involved in this research. The research results show that visitors agree with the indicators. The uniqueness of natural beauty, the uniqueness of artificial beauty, the originality of the place, the authenticity of tourist attractions, the scarcity of tourist attractions, providing pleasure, providing comfort are the main attractions at the Tengku Buang Asmara Skywalk. However, even though visitors agree with the tourist attractions at the tourist attraction, they still have to maintain the existing tourist attractions, if necessary, add new tourist attractions so that visitors are interested in coming back. In conclusion, visitors agree with the attractions of the Tengku Buang Asmara Skywalk. The implementation of these suggestions is expected to increase the number of visits to the Tengku Buang Asmara Skywalk Tourist Attraction.
