Abstract

Early reading skills constitute fundamental competencies for academic success and societal participation, yet significant proportions of elementary students encounter substantial barriers in mastering these critical abilities. This study investigated the effectiveness of picture letter card media on early reading learning for lower-grade elementary students. An experimental study with quantitative approach was conducted at SD Inpres Tala-tala, involving 23 first-grade students (13 males, 10 females) selected through saturation sampling. The intervention comprised six sessions: one pretest, four picture letter card treatment sessions, and one posttest. Data collection utilized reading ability tests, observation sheets, and documentation. Statistical analysis employed descriptive statistics and paired-samples t-tests using SPSS, with preliminary normality and homogeneity testing. Teacher implementation quality improved progressively from 2.5 to 3.8 (average 3.2, good category), while student engagement increased from 1.6 to 3.7 (average 2.8, good category). Reading performance demonstrated remarkable improvement from pretest mean of 34.78 to posttest mean of 86.9. Score distribution shifted dramatically, with 91% of students achieving good or very good performance levels in posttest compared to 0% in pretest. Statistical analysis revealed significant differences (p = 0.000 < 0.05), with normality (p = 0.083) and homogeneity (p = 0.680) assumptions satisfied. The substantial 150% improvement validates picture letter card media's effectiveness in addressing foundational literacy challenges. Results align with multimedia learning theory and previous visual media research, demonstrating successful integration of pedagogical content knowledge with accessible educational technology.

Abstract

Suasana belajar yang menyenangkan dapat membuat pembelajaran yang efektif. Ice breaking merupakan metode belajar yang cocok digunakan untuk membangun suasana belajar yang interaktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ice breaking activities berbasis games terhadap interaksi sosial dan motivasi belajar siswa kelas IV dan V di SD Muhammadiyah IDI Tello Baru. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian ex post facto. Sampel berjumlah 68 siswa yang diambil dengan teknik simple random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket skala sikert dan dokumentasi, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan uji regresi sederhana dan regresi berganda. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa: Terdapat pengaruh signifikan ice breaking berbasis games terhadap interaksi sosial siswa dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (< 0,05), terdapat pengaruh signifikan terhadap motivasi belajar siswa dengan nilai signifikansi 0,024 (< 0,05), dan Secara simultan, terdapat pengaruh signifikan terhadap interaksi sosial dan motivasi belajar dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (< 0,05), dengan demikian H1 diterima dan HO ditolak, yang artinya terdapat pengaruh ice breaking berbasis games terhadap interaksi sosial dan motivasi belajar siswa sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh lingkungan belajar terhadap pembentukan keterampilan berpikir kreatif pada siswa SD Inpres Hombes Armed. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian ex post facto dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini bertempat di SD Inpres Hombes Armed Kabupaten Gowa. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa yang telah dipilih secara acak pada kelas IV, V dan VI, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 50 siswa, sedangkan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan simple random sampling. Metode pengumpulan data untuk pengambilan sampel menggunakan angket, soal tes essay dengan menggunakan platform quizizz dan dokumentasi, dengan analisis data menggunakan SPSS 21.0. Hasil analisis inferensial menunjukkan adanya pengaruh positif lingkungan belajar terhadap keterampilan berpikir kreatif dengan nilai Sig sebesar 0,000 sesuai dengan kriteria yang ditetapkan Sig (0,000) < (0,05) sehingga H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa lingkungan belajar berpengaruh terhadap pembentukan keterampilan berpikir kreatif pada siswa SD Inpres Hombes Armed.

Abstract

Kemampuan numerasi merupakan salah satu kompetensi dasar yang penting dimiliki siswa sekolah dasar. Upaya meningkatkan kemampuan ini dapat dilakukan melalui penggunaan media pembelajaran yang menarik dan interaktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media pembelajaran Uno Stacko terhadap kemampuan numerasi siswa kelas III SD Inpres Anagowa. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 31 siswa kelas III A yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi lembar observasi, soal tes numerasi berbentuk esai, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas guru berada pada kategori sangat baik dengan rata-rata skor 3,6, dan aktivitas siswa pada kategori baik dengan rata-rata 3,4. Rata-rata nilai pretest siswa adalah 62,58 (kategori cukup) dan meningkat pada posttest menjadi 90,48 (kategori sangat baik). Hasil uji-t menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05 yang berarti terdapat pengaruh signifikan penggunaan media Uno Stacko terhadap kemampuan numerasi siswa. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran Uno Stacko efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan numerasi siswa kelas III SD Inpres Anagowa.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effect of the discovery learning model by anomaly media on the learning outcomes of the fifth-grade students at SDN 010 Salutabang, Mamasa Regency. This research is quantitative research with the type of experimental research with the pre-experimental form of one group pretest-post-test design. The sampel in this study was 11 fifth-grade students consisting of 7 boys and 4 girls. The sampling technique in this study is saturated sampling. The research instruments used were observation sheets, learning achievement tests, and documentation. Data analysis used descriptive analysis and inferential statistical analysis with the help of the SPSS computer program. The results of this study indicate that the teacher’s ability in applying the discovery learning model assited by animation media gets on average value of 3.2, which means it well implemented. The learning outcomes of fifth-grade students are described from the results of the prerequisite test consisting of the normality test results pretest 0.162 ≥ 0,05 and post-test 0.620 ≥ 0,05 normally distributed, homogeneity test results 0.163 ≥ 0,05 which means homogeneous and the results from the hypothesis test 0.000 with Sig criteria (0.000) ≤ α (0,05). So, the results of this study indicate that there is an ifluence of the discovery learning model assisted by animation media on the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN 010 Salutabang, Mamasa Regency.

Abstract

Pendidikan karakter sangat penting diterapkan pada siswa SD. Pendidikan karakter di SD akan mengajarkan kebiasaan berpikir dan berperilaku yang membantu siswa untuk hidup dan bekerja sama di lingkungan keluarga, masyarakat, dan bangsa. Beberapa permasalah yang muncul dalam dunia pendidikan antara lain meliputi kurang keteladanan karakter guru kepada siswa, rendahnya pemahaman guru tentang pendidikan karakter, serta kurangnya pelatihan bagi guru untuk memahami pentingnya pendidikan karakter. Hal tersebut mendorong pengusul proposal memadukan ide-ide dan gagasan-gagasan yang dalam menyelesaikan permasalah tersebut dalam kegiatan pelatihan. Sehingga pengusul proposal mengambil judul Pemberdayaan Guru Sekolah Alam Bosowa dalam Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter di Kota Makassar. Metode pendekatan ang digunakan dalam pengabdian kepada masarakat ini dengan kegiatan pelatihan. Untuk mengetahui keberhasilan kegiatan pelatihan tersebut pengusul proposal akan melakukan pendampingan setelah kegiatan pelatihan berakhir. Hasil Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa pelatihan ini cukup berhasil dimana peserta pelatihan sangat antusias dalam kegiatan pelatihan, hal tersebut juga karena masing-masing guru belum pernah mendapatkan sosialisasi dari pemerintah terkait kebijakan pemerintah dengan memberikan Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter di Sekolah. Dari hasil pendampingan menunjukkan masing-masing guru telah mengembangkan pemahaman dan pengetahuannya terkait Pendidikan karakter di sekolah. Hal tersebut tampak dari hasil angket guru yang telah menerapkan pendidikan karakter di berbagai kegiatan di sekolah.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the phonics method assisted by flash card media on the beginning reading ability of lower grade students of SD Inpres Morowa. This study is an experimental research type. The sample in this study were all grade I students, with a total of 32 students. The research instruments used were observation sheets, reading ability tests and documentation. With data analysis techniques using SPSS 30.0. based on the results of descriptive analysis and inferential statistical analysis, where the teacher's activity in implementing the phonics method assisted by flash card media obtained an average value of 3.4 which means it was implemented well, then the results of the analysis of student activities obtained an average value of 3.3 which means it was implemented well. The results of the prerequisite test, namely the normality test, obtained a P-Value pretest = 0.535 which means the data is normally distributed, then the results of the homogeneity test obtained a P-Value = 0.541 which means homogeneity is met. The results of the hypothesis test obtained a value of 0.000 which is smaller than the significance level of 0.05, which means that there is a difference in students' reading ability, so H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Based on the results of the research that has been conducted, it can be concluded that the phonics method assisted by flash card media has an effect on the initial reading ability of lower grade students at SD Inpres Morowa.

Abstract

Articles in the Jurnal Pendidikan dan Pembelajaran Indonesian (JPPI) are written This study aims to determine the effect of using the "Roda Pintar" (Smart Wheel) media on the arithmetic abilities of lower-grade students at SD Inpres Morowa. This research is an experimental study using a quantitative approach. The population in this study consists of all second-grade students. The sampling technique used in this study is purposive sampling. The sample consisted of 37 second-grade students, including 22 boys and 15 girls.The data collection method was analyzed using SPSS for Windows. The results of the descriptive statistical analysis showed an average teacher activity score of 3.7 and an average student activity score of 3, both categorized as good. Inferential analysis showed that the normality test for pretest and posttest results had a significance value of 0.179 (greater than 0.05), indicating that the data were normally distributed. The homogeneity test showed a significance value of 0.97, indicating that the data were homogeneous. Furthermore, the hypothesis test showed a significance value of 0.000 (less than 0.05), meaning that the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted and the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected.Based on the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that the use of the "Roda Pintar" media has a significant effect on the arithmetic abilities of lower-grade students at SD Inpres Morowa.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of ethnomatics-based learning media on the learning motivation of elementary school students (South Sulawesi cultural context). This study is an experimental study using a quantitative approach. This study took place at the UPT SPF SD Inpres Perumnas Antang III. The population of this study were students randomly selected in classes IV A, IV B, and IV C with sampling using simple random sampling. The sample in this study was 29 students of class IV B consisting of 11 boys and 18 girls. The research instruments used were observation sheets, questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis used descriptive analysis and inferential statistical analysis with the help of the SPSS computer program. The results of this study indicate that the ability of teachers in using ethnomatics-based learning media in student learning obtained an average score of 3.5 which was carried out very well. The learning motivation of fourth-grade students from the results of the prerequisite test consisting of the normality test Pretest 0.295 and Posttest 0.312, the results of the homogeneity test 0.095, and the hypothesis test 0.000. So the results of this study show that the use of ethnomatics-based learning media has an effect on students' learning motivation.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the learning difficulties and responses of slow learner students in IPAS learning in grade III of SD IT Plus Qurthuba. This study employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through interviews and documentation with the IPAS teacher who is also the class homeroom teacher, as well as two slow learner students. The results indicate that slow learner students experience difficulties in understanding scientific terms, tend to forget easily, and often fall behind in their studies. Student responses to IPAS learning improve when teachers utilize visual media and small group learning. Other inhibiting factors include a lack of learning support at home and teaching methods that do not align with students' learning styles. Suggested solutions include the use of varied media, language simplification, formation of small groups, and increased parental involvement. This research is expected to serve as a reference for more inclusive IPAS learning.
