Abstract

Based on observations at SDN 2 Pematang Panjang, the library's spacious room and adequate facilities suggest a well-equipped space. However, few students visit the library. During the observation, the library was found to be extremely dirty and disorganized. This disorganization refers to the accumulation of unused books within the library, leading to an unorganized layout and lack of cleanliness. This negatively impacts students' interest in visiting and reading. To address this issue, the researcher implemented a library revitalization initiative. This study aims to investigate the role of school library revitalization at SDN 2 Pematang Panjang. Data was collected using a qualitative approach, employing observation, interviews, and documentation as instruments. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman technique. The findings indicate that school library revitalization plays a crucial role. This is evidenced by the increased number of students visiting and reading in the library.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate theoretical and practical approaches in optimizing the potential of human resources and employees. The research method used is a literature review with a qualitative approach to explore the conceptual framework supporting effective HR management practices. The literature review includes an in-depth review of relevant academic literature, covering key concepts in HR management such as motivation, leadership, career development, and performance measurement. Critical analysis of various theories and models helps in understanding the complexity and dynamics of HR management. The findings of this literature review indicate that theoretical approaches provide a solid conceptual foundation for understanding the basic principles in HR management, while practical approaches enable the implementation of strategies appropriate to the organizational context. The integration of theory and practice is key to developing effective and sustainable HR management strategies. The findings of this literature review provide valuable insights for practitioners in designing and implementing successful HR management practices. By understanding the theoretical framework and applying it contextually, organizations can optimize the potential of their human resources and employees, thereby enhancing organizational performance and competitiveness in the dynamic global market.

Abstract

Kidney dysfunction can trigger the development of various diseases, including kidney tumors. Early detection of kidney tumors is very important to increase the effectiveness of treatment and the chances of patient recovery. The use of deep learning technology in medical image classification has become a promising approach, especially in detecting abnormalities in the kidney organ through CT-Scan images. This study compares the performance of three Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) architectures, namely EfficientNet-B0, Inception-V3, and VGG16, in detecting kidney tumors. The dataset used was obtained from the kaggle website, namely CT-scan images with normal and tumor classes and divided by a ratio of training  data and test data of 80:20. The hyperparameter used is Stochastic Gradient Descent (SGD) with a learning rate of 0.001 and 0.0001. The evaluation was carried out using a confusion matrix with metrics of accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score . According to the test outcomes, the VGG16 model configured with a 0.001 learning rate achieved the highest classification performance, recording 99.46% accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score.

Abstract

Printed media and learning resources still play a crucial role in supporting the learning process at the elementary (MI/SD) level. This study aims to develop printed learning media that align with the characteristics of students and the demands of the curriculum. This research employs a library research method by reviewing various relevant literatures on media development, the characteristics of elementary school students, and instructional design principles. The findings indicate that printed media designed with attention to visual aspects, communicative language, and content relevance can enhance the effectiveness of learning. Therefore, the development of high-quality printed media is considered a key strategy in supporting the success of the teaching and learning process at the MI/SD level.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low level of Arabic language learning outcomes for fourth grade students at Al Irsyad Elementary School, Bogor City. This research aims to determine the influence of visual image media on Arabic language learning outcomes. This type of research is quasi-experimental research. The population of this study was all students in Al Irsyad Elementary School, Bogor City, totaling 348 students. The sample for this research was 58 grade IV students at Al Irsyad Elementary School, Bogor City. The data collection method was carried out using a test method, namely an objective test instrument (multiple choice).  The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis techniques and inferential statistical analysis techniques, namely the t-test.  The results of this research show that there is a significant influence of the use of visual image media on the Arabic language learning outcomes of class IV students at Al Irsyad Elementary School, Bogor City based on the t-test that the Sig. (2-tailed) 0.039 < 0.05, which means that there is an influence of the use of visual image media on Arabic language learning outcomes. This can also be seen from the average score of experimental class students using visual image media, namely 86 and the average score of control group students, namely 73. So there is a significant influence of the use of image visual media on Arabic language learning outcomes for fourth grade elementary school students. Al Irsyad, Bogor City, Academic Year 2023/2024.

Abstract

Pada pembelajaran di sekolah, guru harus mampu menyesuaikan media yang akan digunakan pada proses pembelajaran. Pada fakta lapangan yang ada di sekolah SDI Perwanida Nurul Fajar terutama di kelas IV, guru yang bersangkutan hanya menggunakan media yang berupa video slide-slide materi yang tentunya membuat materi yang disajikan menjadi singkat dan terbatas. Hal tersebut membuat pemahaman siswapun menjadi terbatas dan menyebabkan hasil belajar siswa cukup rendah. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut maka diperlukan sebuah solusi untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa yaitu dengan menggunakan media audio visual. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam jenis penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran IPA di kelas IV SDI Perwanida Nurul Fajar dengan menggunakan media audio visual. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu lembar observasi untuk aktivitas guru dan lembar tes untuk hasil belajar siswa. Adapun hasil observasi pada siklus pertama adalah dengan persentase 73,33% dengan kategori “baik”. Selanjutnya hasil observasi pada siklus 2 mencapai persentase 86,67% yang dikategorikan “sangat baik”. Sedangkan untuk hasil belajar siswa pada siklus 1 memperoleh persentase 76,19% yang termasuk dalam kategori “baik”. Selanjutnya untuk tes hasil belajar pada siklus 2 mendapatkan persentase 90,47% yang termasuk dalam kategori “sangat baik” dan mencapai taraf indikator ketuntasan klasikal. Dengan demikian maka dapat dikatakan bahwa kegiatan pembelajaran dengan media audio visual dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SDI Perwanida Nurul Fajar pada pelajaran IPA. Kata Kunci : Media Audio Visual, Hasil Belajar Siswa, Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam.

Abstract

Technological advances have made it easier to access financial services, but ironically, this has also contributed to the increasing cases of online loan defaults and the involvement of the younger generation in online gambling due to a lack of financial literacy. This study aims to describe the implementation of financial literacy in grade 5 students at Al Giva Nature School and its impact on their financial understanding and attitudes. We collected data through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation using a qualitative approach and case study method. The results of the study show that financial literacy is implemented through fundraising activities, saving, internal internships in the school canteen, and Friday alms, which are integrated with the school's business pillars. These activities provide students with practical experience in obtaining, saving, spending, and donating money. The impact is seen in the increasing understanding of students about sources of money, the ability to distinguish between needs and wants, the growth of saving habits, and enthusiasm for sharing. This study concludes that the implementation of financial literacy based on real activities makes a positive contribution to instilling wise financial understanding and behavior in students from an early age.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Civics lessons play a very important role in character building and understanding the rights and obligations of students as citizens. In this 21st century era, the integration of literacy, especially cultural and civic literacy, is important in Civics learning in elementary schools. However, the low understanding of Civics material due to limited learning media, the lack of interaction and literacy reinforcement in the learning process, and the lack of effective evaluation are obstacles in improving cultural and civic literacy. The Creative Literacy Class Module (KLiK) developed by Sekolah Literasi Indonesia (SLI) is a solution through creative and systematic literacy activities in the learning process. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the KLiK Module in improving cultural and civic literacy of grade 4 elementary school students through the Kemmis and Mc Taggart model of classroom action research. The results of this study showed an increase in student literacy after the use of the KLiK Module, exceeding the target of completeness. Students better understand gotong royong, are able to relate to Pancasila values, and are more active in the learning process. Based on these findings, it is recommended that teachers utilize the KLiK Module, students are encouraged to be more proactive, schools support the provision of literacy-based learning media, and future researchers can refine and expand this research
