Abstract

This study explores the role of digital transformation (DT) in enhancing Human Resource Management Practices (HRMP) within multinational enterprises (MNEs). Employing a qualitative multi case study approach, data were collected through semi structured interviews, organizational documents, and digital implementation records across global companies. The research identifies four key areas of improvement due to digital tools: recruitment, training and development, performance management, and employee engagement. AI-based platforms, cloud based HRIS, and Learning Management Systems (LMS) have streamlined processes and enabled data driven decision making. However, the study also finds significant disparities in DT effectiveness across regions, influenced by infrastructure, digital literacy, and cultural factors. Critical organizational enablers such as digital leadership, employee digital competence, and strategic alignment were found to significantly mediate DT outcomes. The findings suggest that DT in HR should be approached holistically, integrating technology with strategic planning, change management, and ethical governance. This research contributes to the theoretical framework of digital HRM and provides practical insights for global HR leaders aiming to design adaptive and culturally responsive digital strategies. The study concludes that while digital tools offer significant potential, their success depends on organizational readiness and regional adaptability. Suggestions for future research include expanding the study to small and medium sized enterprises and analyzing sector specific dynamics.

Abstract

The obligation to implement halal certification for micro and small business products will end in October 2026. Therefore, the sustainability of micro and small business actors must be taken more seriously and need to be protected from unfair competition, specifically in Bajeman Tragah village, Bangkalan Regency because many business actors in Bajeman Village do not fully understand the obligation of halal certification of products and do not understand the procedures for registering halal certification. The focus of this activity is to provide training and mentoring to business actors so that the business products get legal certainty and halal legality from BPJPH with the mechanisms established by the Indonesian government. The products must be halal and in accordance with Islamic law, where cleanliness, quality, and safety of the production process must be based on a halal quality management system. The mentoring technique implemented is to help business actors to be able to understand and be aware of the obligation of halal certification of their products, then accompany them in the halal certification registration process starting with obtaining NIB, the Self-Declare SJPH Process and until obtaining Halal Product certification. The halal certification mentoring program for micro and small businesses in Bajeman Village, Bangkalan will be conducted over a four-month period, from August 2025 to November 2025. The program aims to facilitate the process of obtaining halal product certification for businesses in Bajeman Village, Bangkalan. The program will raise awareness among the micro and small business actors to register their products to obtain halal product certification from The Government of Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstract This research seeks to assess the extent to which macroeconomic indicators such as inflation, money supply, the BI Rate, and exchange rates affect the Indonesian Sharia Stock Index (ISSI). This study employs a quantitative method through data analysis using multiple linear regression techniques. the use of this method is made to determine the impact of the relationship between related variables. The data source in this study comes from secondary data available on the official website with a monthly time series data pattern starting from the period 2019 to 2024. The results of this study found that partially the ISSI is affected by inflation and exchange rates, this is evidenced by the negative results that show if inflation and value have a negative and significant effect. Compared to the money supply and BI Rate which shows a positive impact on the ISSI. On the other hand, through simultaneous tests it was found that the ISSI was simultaneously influenced by inflation, money supply, BI rate and exchange rate. This indicates that macroeconomic factors have an impact on the ISSI.

Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation and effectiveness of risk mitigation strategies in Sharia Home Ownership Loan (KPR) financing using the 5C principles (Character, Capacity, Capital, Collateral, Condition) and sharia-compliant restructuring mechanisms to reduce Non-Performing Financing (NPF) at Bank BTN Syariah Diponegoro Surabaya. The issue is critical because the national NPF ratio for sharia mortgages has shown fluctuations in recent years, posing threats to portfolio quality and institutional stability. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through semi-structured interviews with three key informants directly involved in consumer financing analysis, collection, and documentation, complemented by secondary data from internal bank reports and regulatory sources. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation, technical triangulation, and member checking. The findings show that the rigorous application of the 5C principles helped prevent high-risk applicants from entering the financing portfolio, with 23% of applications rejected during 2024–2025 due to 5C deficiencies. Meanwhile, restructuring measures—through rescheduling, reconditioning, and contract adjustments—helped stabilize debtor repayment abilities and contributed to a decline in potential NPF escalation. Internal branch records indicate that these combined mitigation strategies helped maintain NPF at a controlled level despite wider national fluctuations. This study contributes to the literature by integrating pre-disbursement (5C) and post-disbursement (restructuring) mitigation frameworks within sharia mortgage financing, addressing a gap in existing studies that often examine these mechanisms separately. Practically, the results provide guidance for Islamic banks in strengthening responsive and sharia-compliant risk management systems.

Abstract

The expiration of the phased implementation of mandatory halal certification on 17 October 2024 marked a transition from a facilitative to an enforcement-oriented policy phase, creating significant implementation pressures for local governments and micro and small enterprises facing legal, market, and administrative risks. While previous studies have examined halal certification from normative legal and governance perspectives, limited research integrates empirical public policy analysis with a maqasid al-syarī’ah framework to evaluate local government interventions during this post-transition period. Using a qualitative policy analysis approach, this study identifies six local intervention strategies: structured multi-stakeholder coordination; optimization of the self-declare assistance scheme; targeted digital literacy and social media outreach; affirmative programs for remote villages; development of a regional Halal Hub ecosystem; and preventive regulatory socialization for the 2026 mandatory phase. Empirically, 4,053 halal certificates were issued by January 2026, 3,933 through the self-declare scheme, with over 90% of assisted MSMEs completing registration on time. These results indicate that proactive facilitation and adaptive local governance significantly reduced non-compliance risks during the transition. From a maqasid al-syarī’ah perspective, the interventions operationalize multidimensional protection: religion (hifz al-dīn), life (hifz al-nafs), wealth (hifz al-māl), intellect (hifz al-’aql), and lineage (hifz al-nasl). Conceptually, this study proposes a maqasid-based evaluation model linking Islamic normative principles with measurable governance indicators. Theoretically and practically, it positions maqasid as an applied analytical framework and provides evidence-based guidance for adaptive and sustainability-oriented halal governance.
