Abstract

Manajemen berbasis komunitas (MBBK) menjadi salah satu pendekatan yang penting dalam pengelolaan sekolah, terutama di wilayah perbatasan yang memiliki tantangan unik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi implementasi MBBK pada Sekolah Islam Modern HIKMA di Sarawak, Malaysia, yang terletak di dekat perbatasan Pontianak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Focus Group Discussion (FGD) untuk mengumpulkan data dari berbagai pemangku kepentingan, termasuk pengurus sekolah, guru, orang tua, dan anggota komunitas. Diskusi difokuskan pada praktik manajerial, peran komunitas, dan tantangan yang dihadapi dalam implementasi MBBK. Hasil FGD menunjukkan bahwa MBBK di HIKMA Sarawak telah meningkatkan partisipasi komunitas dalam pengambilan keputusan, memperkuat hubungan antara sekolah dan masyarakat, serta memfasilitasi dukungan sumber daya yang lebih baik. Namun, tantangan seperti perbedaan budaya dan kurangnya pelatihan bagi pengelola sekolah juga diidentifikasi. Temuan ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya pendekatan manajemen yang inklusif di lingkungan sekolah perbatasan. MBBK dapat menjadi model yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di Sekolah Islam Modern, asalkan ada dukungan berkelanjutan dari semua pemangku kepentingan. MBBK di HIKMA Sarawak menunjukkan potensi besar untuk meningkatkan efektivitas manajemen sekolah di daerah perbatasan. Rekomendasi untuk penelitian lebih lanjut meliputi pengembangan program pelatihan bagi pengelola dan upaya untuk memperkuat kolaborasi antara sekolah dan komunitas.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to explore the implementation of clinical supervision in Islamic schools, with a particular focus on its contribution to improving teaching quality. Additionally, the study seeks to identify the factors influencing the success of clinical supervision within this context.Method – This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through structured interviews with school principals and teachers at MIS Trubus Iman, as well as field observations. Data analysis followed the stages of qualitative analysis, including data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Findings – The research findings indicate that face-to-face clinical supervision between school principals and teachers significantly enhances teachers' reflection on their teaching practices and provides constructive feedback. The structured supervision process, including preparation, observation, and feedback sessions, enables teachers to better understand the strengths and weaknesses of their teaching methods. However, the study also identifies challenges such as time constraints and limited management support, which hinder the full effectiveness of the supervision process. Research Implications – This study emphasizes the need for continuous professional development through clinical supervision to enhance the quality of teachers' instruction. However, the research is limited to a single school's context, necessitating further studies in other Islamic schools to validate the findings and broaden the understanding of clinical supervision within this context.

Abstract

For the sake of achieving human resources who have noble character, are competent, skilled, and able to master science and technology that are increasingly advanced. For the sake of creating the vision of national education, there are several steps that must be taken, namely an educational process in schools or educational institutions that is carried out properly. Education in schools is said to have run well if the learning process is carried out consciously and runs effectively and efficiently. This is in line with RI Law Number 20 Article 1 of 2003 concerning the National Education System. Permendikbud no. 67 of 2013 concerning the SD curriculum, that the Implementation of the 2013 Curriculum in Elementary Schools / Madrasah Ibtidaiyah is carried out through learning with an integrated thematic approach from Class I to Class VI. Thematic learning objectives as described above can be achieved properly if supported by an appropriate learning strategy and model. These learning strategies and models must enable students to take an active role in the learning process. Based on the results of observation and documentation, it is known that the learning outcomes of class V students at SD Negeri Lobang 01 are still not as expected. The latest data shows that the average value of evaluation results for fifth grade students in odd semesters of the 2022/2023 academic year in learning without using the Project Based Learning learning model is 68.33 out of 18 students, there are 8 students who have not completed yet and 10 students get a complete score with minimum completeness criteria i.e. 70.00.

Abstract

Backgrround: Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is one of the leading causes of global morbidity and mortality, with treatment outcomes influenced by several factors, including treatment timing. Objective: This study aims to analyze the relationship between the duration from injury to initial medical management and the duration from injury to craniotomy surgery on the outcomes of TBI patients at RSUP Dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta, using the Glasgow Outcome Scale Extended (GOSE) as an assessment tool and Length of Stay (LOS).Subject and Method: This is a prospective observational study conducted on TBI patients treated at RSUP Dr. Sardjito from May to October 2024. Data were collected from the patients' electronic medical records who underwent craniotomy procedures. The analysis was performed using regression tests to evaluate the impact of the duration between the incident and initial medical management, as well as the duration until craniotomy, on patient outcomes.Result: Among 71 included patients, the median age was 19 years (Q1: 7; Q3: 57), and 71.8% were male. Most patients (52.1%) presented with a GCS score of 13–15. GOSE outcomes showed good recovery in 28.2%, mild disability in 26.8%, slight disability in 9.9%, moderate disability in 21.1%, severe disability in 5.6%, and death in 8.4%, with a median length of stay of 10 days.

Abstract

Thoracic segmental spinal anesthesia (TSSA) is a regional anesthesia technique that is increasingly used as an alternative to general anesthesia, especially for high-risk patients undergoing abdominal and thoracic surgeries. TSSA offers significant benefits, including better hemodynamic stability and a reduction in postoperative side effects such as nausea, vomiting, and respiratory depression. This technique also provides more optimal pain control and facilitates faster recovery, particularly in terms of postoperative mobilization and gastrointestinal function recovery. However, the use of TSSA requires a deep understanding of the relevant anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology to avoid complications such as iatrogenic injury or excessive spread of anesthesia. With the right understanding, TSSA can reduce the need for large volumes of local anesthetics, accelerate recovery, and deliver better outcomes in various surgical procedures. Further development of practice guidelines and research related to TSSA is also necessary to maximize its benefits in improving anesthesia safety and effectiveness in high-risk patients.

Abstract

The digitalization of library services has driven significant changes in librarians' roles, enhancing the quality of information services in higher education environments. The purpose of this study is to determine how librarians can optimize library services in higher education institutions to realize an Academic Smart Library. Higher education libraries function as learning resource centers that help meet users' information needs, requiring human resources with competence, experience, and the ability to adapt to digital technology. Librarians are required to provide effective, high-quality information services that meet user standards and expectations. Digitalization efforts not only affect information management systems but also require librarians to develop digital competencies, information literacy, and service innovation to increase service effectiveness. This study used a literature review method, collecting secondary data from scientific publications, journals, and related academic documents. The data were analyzed using theories and previous research to conclude strategies for optimizing librarians' roles in developing digital libraries. The results of the study indicate that the successful implementation of an Academic Smart Library is influenced by the librarian's ability to lead digital transformation by improving competencies, managing information technology, and strengthening their role as knowledge facilitators for the academic community.

Abstract

Character education has become a strategic focus in shaping the quality of young generations in Indonesia and Malaysia, particularly amid the challenges of globalization, urbanization, and Western cultural influences that erode moral values and cultural identity. This study aims to identify models and practices for integrating local wisdom into character education, as well as to analyze the similarities, differences, and contributions of these practices to the development of students’ character in both countries. The research employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with a meta-synthesis approach to examine, evaluate, and synthesize qualitative research findings from accredited national and international journals (2019–2025). Fifteen articles met the final inclusion criteria (11 from Indonesia, 4 from Malaysia). The results indicate that: (1) In Indonesia, the integration of local wisdom values is implemented through curriculum, thematic learning, extracurricular activities, and habitual practices in daily life, whereas in Malaysia, integration occurs through specialized curricula, culturally-based instruction, and community education. (2) Similarities between the two countries lie in the role of local wisdom in strengthening moral, social, and religious character, while differences are found in cultural scope, curriculum focus, and language roles. (3) Integrating local wisdom significantly reinforces character education, fosters moral and social values, and preserves students’ cultural identity according to the national context of each country.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of wayang kulit as a learning medium for Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMK Negeri 3 Banyumas. Based on preliminary observations, the use of wayang kulit in PAI learning at the school has, in fact, never been applied. The research employed a qualitative method with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results indicate that the implementation of wayang kulit as a PAI learning medium is still at the trial stage and has not yet been carried out optimally. Supporting factors include the potential of Banyumas local wisdom, students’ interest in arts and creativity, support from art teachers and PAI teachers, as well as the availability of supporting facilities. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors involve the limited experience of PAI teachers in utilizing wayang kulit as a medium, limited planning time, management obstacles in the use of facilities, the media’s focus on certain students, and the lack of adequate infrastructure in general schools. This study concludes that local culture-based media such as wayang kulit hold great potential as an innovative medium for PAI learning while simultaneously preserving culture. However, it requires well-prepared planning strategies, teacher training, and sufficient facility support.

Abstract

Telaah sistematis terhadap 30 artikel terpilih dalam satu dekade terakhir dilakukan untuk memahami bagaimana Manajemen Pendidikan Berbasis Mutu (MPBM) bertransformasi di era digital. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa integrasi teknologi seperti Learning Management System (LMS), sistem informasi mutu, dan dashboard digital memperkuat prinsip Total Quality Management (TQM), meski penerapannya masih dibatasi oleh rendahnya literasi digital tenaga pendidik, belum adanya indikator mutu digital yang baku, serta ketimpangan infrastruktur terutama di wilayah 3T. Temuan ini menegaskan perlunya pengembangan indikator mutu digital yang terstandar dan program pelatihan bertahap bagi pendidik, serta dukungan kebijakan afirmatif agar adopsi MPBM digital dapat diterapkan secara efektif dan merata.

Abstract

Educational supervision is the main element in building the reputation and quality of education. This research aims to investigate whether educational supervision can serve as a vital instrument in maintaining accountability, enhancing the quality of learning, and preserving the reputation of educational institutions. This research employs a library research methodology. The findings of this study reveal the significant role of supervision in an educational context and outline several benefits it yields. Through the effective supervisory process, schools and educators can identify and address weaknesses in teaching methods, curriculum, and assessment. It not only improves the quality of education but also ensures compliance with national standards. Furthermore, educational supervision helps maintain a positive image of schools and educators, enhances customer satisfaction (students and parents), and makes a substantial contribution to building a strong reputation for education. Thus, educational supervision functions not only as a surveillance instrument but also as the key pillar in creating an outstanding and respected education system.
