Abstract

This research focuses on a normative study of the regulations for closing life insurance policies according to Indonesian laws and regulations. This is followed by an analysis of legal protection for the insured's heirs as policy holders regarding the practice of closing credit life insurance policies without medical check-ups, as well as an analysis of the Judge's considerations and decisions regarding the importance of medical check-ups before closing credit life insurance policies using Decision Number 38/Pdt .G/2023/PN Date as object of study. This research is descriptive normative legal research, with a statutory, conceptual and case approach. The data used is secondary data, which was collected using library study data collection tools using document study techniques. The data was then analyzed using qualitative data analysis methods and drawing conclusions deductively. The research concludes that the arrangements for closing life insurance policies in Indonesia are transparent and provide protection for the insured. OJK requires insurance companies to ensure prospective insureds understand the terms and risks, including the importance of health checks. Legal protection for the insured's heirs is regulated in Article 22-26 POJK No. 20/2023 concerning Insurance Linked to Credit, which highlights the importance of information transparency. If the claim is rejected due to the absence of a medical examination, the insured's heirs can file a lawsuit in District Court. Decision Number 38/Pdt.G/2023/PN Tgl emphasizes the importance of a medical examination before closing a policy, reflecting the principle of prudence and utmost good faith. This decision provides justice, certainty and benefits for policyholders by guaranteeing claim payments according to the provisions. It is recommended that there be detailed regulations regarding mandatory medical check-ups and transparency of information in credit life insurance. Insurance companies and banks must also increase the education of prospective insureds regarding the importance of medical examinations before disbursing credit.

Abstract

The law gives great authority to directors so that directors have freedom in running the company in order to achieve the company's goals and objectives. For this reason, when running a company, directors are required to always be careful in making decisions. The principle of prudence is part of the board of directors' fiduciary duty which must be implemented by every member of the board of directors. This research is aimed at analyzing the limits of prudence of insurance company directors in placing investments in company funds, as well as the legal consequences and responsibilities of company directors for violating the precautionary principle by making the case of PT. ASABRI as an object of study. This research is descriptive normative legal research with a statutory approach and a case approach. Data sources were obtained from primary and secondary legal materials collected using literature study techniques and analyzed using qualitative analysis methods. The results of this research found and concluded that legislation does not regulate in detail the limits of the prudential principle of directors in managing investments. However, directors are required to prepare an investment management plan that reflects investment policies and strategies, through a careful and accountable risk analysis and feasibility study process. In the case of the decision of the directors of PT. ASABRI which resulted in losses to PT. ASABRI, can be qualified as an unlawful act because it violates the precautionary principle, which is indicated by the actions of the directors who knew and approved the placement of PT investment funds. ASABRI in a number of companies without going through a risk analysis process and feasibility study. As a result of this violation of the precautionary principle, the directors of PT. ASABRI is personally and jointly responsible for the company's losses.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the effect of a short-duration digital education intervention based on interactive videos distributed through platforms commonly used by adolescents in Semarang. The study used a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the average knowledge score before and after being given digital-based education (p = 0.000). The results of the bivariate analysis showed that digital educational interventions had a positive impact on increasing adolescents' knowledge of early breast cancer detection. The findings of this study are expected to form the basis for developing more effective, applicable, and sustainable technology-based health learning models in the context of an ever-evolving digital landscape. This finding confirms that the use of digital media is an approach that aligns with the characteristics of adolescents and is relevant in improving health literacy related to early detection of breast cancer.

Abstract

Hypertension is a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease, with increasing prevalence globally and nationally. Alternative treatments such as celery leaves (Apium graveolens), which contain active compounds with antihypertensive effects through vasodilation and diuretic mechanisms, are being explored. Purpose: This study aimed to determine the effect of celery leaf decoction on systolic and diastolic blood pressure reduction in elderly individuals with hypertension. Methods: A quasi-experimental pretest-posttest design was used on 30 elderly patients with mild to moderate hypertension in RW III Anduring, Padang (2025). Participants consumed 250 mg of celery leaf decoction twice daily for 14 days. Data were analyzed using a paired t-test with a significance level of p < 0.05. Results: The average systolic blood pressure decreased from 147.6 mmHg to 133.4 mmHg (p = 0.000). The diastolic pressure dropped from 92.3 mmHg to 85.1 mmHg (p = 0.001), indicating a statistically significant effect. Conclusion: Celery leaf decoction effectively lowers blood pressure in elderly hypertensive patients and may serve as a complementary therapy to reduce reliance on antihypertensive drugs. Implications: Health workers, especially at Puskesmas, are encouraged to educate communities on the potential of herbal remedies like celery leaf as part of integrative hypertension management.
