This research is a type of quasi-experimental research (quasi-experimental). Sampling with cluster random sampling technique. The data analysis technique used normality, homogeneity, hypothesis testing and statistical hypotheses. The conclusions of this study are as follows: 1). An increase in the average value of 58.15 experienced by the experimental class with Brain Based Learning strategy higher than the average value of the control class of 14.9. So that the mathematical communication skills of students in the experimental class in mathematics experienced a significant increase compared to the control group; 2). The results of statistical calculations obtained t count is 8.25 and the value of t table is 1.99 which is smaller than the value of t count, so Brain Based Learning strategy has a positive impact on the mathematical communication skills of class V in mathematics learning.

Abstract

This research is a literature study. During a child's growth and development, one of the things that needs to be built is character. The character that is embedded in the child will affect resilience until adulthood. One of the characters that needs to be built early on is discipline behavior. Discipline aspects that can be applied to children include obedience and order. The activities that can be carried out obey the applicable regulations, complete the given task, put the object back in its place, and patiently wait their turn during the activity. The teacher can use interesting media to stimulate the discipline of children. The use of media can build interaction with children. Abstract

Learning activities during the Covid-19 pandemic are a new challenge for teachers in schools. especially special companion teachers or GPK in inclusive primary schools. GPKs still have to provide maximum service related to the learning process carried out during the Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study was to obtain information related to the implementation of learning for students with special needs (PDBK) in inclusive schools during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach to the type of case study. The subjects studied were three GPKs in the Kreativa Inclusive Elementary School, Bogor City. Data collection was obtained through questionnaires and semi-structured interviews conducted online. Data analysis was carried out in a descriptive qualitative manner with the help of nvivo 12 plus. The results showed that the PDBK learning during the Covid-19 pandemic was as follows; (1) the GPK has prepared learning tools, especially individual learning programs, (2) offline learning in classrooms and center rooms focus on developing PDBK life skills, (3) learn the content is the same as before the pandemic, (4) online learning is carried out through the zoom application and WhatsApp, and (5) the process of assessing learning outcomes using google forms and worksheets related to PDBK learning activities. The learning challenges during the Covid-19 pandemic faced by GPK, namely; decreased learning outcomes of PDBK, problems with GDPK tantrums during online learning, and communication problems to provide an understanding of learning.

Data were collected through in depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. Participants included 16 teachers from SDN Benteng 3, comprising 12 classroom teachers adn 4 subject teachers in Islamic education and Physical Education, as well as students identified with emotional or behavioral disorders. The findings indicate several obstacles, such as limited knowledge about emotional or behavioral disorders in students, a lack of specialized training, and minimal institutional support. Teachers highlighted the need for additional training, specialized teaching strategies, and supportive facilities for implementing inclusive education. Abstract

Regular elementary schools without an inclusion label are still required to accept students with special needs, including ADHD. This study aims to identify the teaching processes implemented by teachers for ADHD students in regular schools without special education assistants. The research was conducted at a public elementary school in Sukabumi City in November 2024. The method used was descriptive with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through an ADHD identification instrument, in-depth interviews with the classroom teacher, and learning documentation. The research subjects consisted of one classroom teacher and a first-grade student suspected of having ADHD. The findings indicate that the student only met three out of 17 ADHD indicators. This was due to limited teacher observations or insufficient supporting information. In the learning process, the teacher applied strategies such as behavior management, group work, seat arrangement, giving instructions, and managing tantrums, all tailored to the student's needs. However, services for ADHD students in regular schools remain limited. Therefore, further efforts are needed from teachers and schools to enhance support, including collaboration with parents and specialists. This study is expected to serve as a reference for developing inclusive education practices in regular schools.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate how early childhood education (ECE) teachers comprehend and use learning techniques that promote the development of executive function in young children. The three primary components of executive functions—working memory, inhibitory control, and cognitive flexibility—are essential to children's self-regulation and preparation for learning. Several early childhood education teachers in the Jakarta and Bekasi regions were interviewed in-depth to gather data using a qualitative methodology. The research findings indicate that most teachers are not familiar with the term "executive function," but in practice, they have been conducting activities that support these aspects in daily learning. Nevertheless, the implementation of these activities has not been fully directed or recognized as part of executive function development. Therefore, efforts to enhance teacher professionalism through specialized training or seminars are needed so that their understanding and pedagogical practices can be more optimal in supporting the development of executive functions in early childhood.

Abstract

In-service Teacher Professional Education (PPG) (Daljab) is an educational program designed to produce professional teachers. The program aims to provide prospective teachers with the competencies, skills and knowledge necessary for them to teach effectively in schools. However, in reality, the implementation of PPG still has many obstacles faced by the Educational Institutions for Educational Personnel (LPTK) and PPG participants. The approach used is descriptive qualitative with the number of informants is 12 people with details of 1 from the LPTK, 6 lecturers and 5 from PPG participants. To obtain the data needed in the research, data collection techniques were used in the form of; literature study, interviews, and documentation. The analysis used in this research is by coding, presenting data, and verifying data. The results showed that the implementation process of PPG policy for PAUD teacher certification was not optimal, especially in the aspect of learning theory with minimal interaction, as well as administrative monitoring. Collaborative strategies are needed between LPTK and participants through strengthening infrastructure, and a more interactive learning approach to support the professional competence of PAUD teachers.
